IF anything ever did almost everyone is just going to go to 4+4 chan.
Asher Clark
you fuckheads have no idea how the internet works. and yes, there are chans on tor. but you won't need to use them, everything will be fine.
Jace Walker
Basically entire segments can be censored by region if allowed. Ask yourself why the most pc nations WOULDN'T axe Cred Forums? They obviously will and it's time to plan

They won't shut down this site the next day, shit is too crazy. If anything it will be a long and drawn out process, this isn't it.

Failure to submit to electronic surveillance, or installing anything to attempt to conceal online activities should be treason. We have had the technology to completely eliminate hackings, piracy, and pedophile hideouts for years now but "muh 4th amendment" cowards have been holding us back.
Man the fuck up. You will be watched. If you don't want to go to jail, don't use the internet to break the law. Get over it.

It's treason then

Do you really think Obama would give them the control over it? No.
Since it's unconstitutional to censor something on the internet in America, they can just transfer the jurisdiction to the UN/EU whatever and pressure them to censor whatever they want.
Now when they censor something they can just put the blame on Russia/China and we will eat it up.

Brayden Gomez
Well fag modern internet uses DNS to connect users to servers via domain names like Cred Forums.org DNS is basically a HUUGE table that has two columns - IPs and domain names. If UN normies want to, they can disable certain ip-domainname pairing for a whole world or country and putting domain name into adress bar will do nothing but return an error message. Some sites will stiill be accessible via direct IP connection, but those that have that feature disabled due to architecture (like Cred Forums, cloudflare protects it from direct connection) will be lost forever unless you use some tricks that are too difficult for 98% of today's internet population. It's basically global internet censorship.

Pretty dumb statement that makes your situation even worse. If you buy it and pass tests clean there is two options that can be used against you - you either cheat on tests which is a crime or you resell stuff you've bought which is even more severe crime. And if you manage to proof that you weren't a seller and just took drugs between tests so that they get out of your body before checkups you still will be fired at the very least and your record will deny any public job 4u

So let me get this straight. Basically each country decides what its users can and cannot access online? How is that different from now, like what china does? Can other countries force your country to comply? What are the actual odds that Cred Forums will be blocked for america?
Matthew Morgan
What? Are a majority of them unaware or are they not following basic opsec to protect themselves?
Jacob James
Dun matter. I've been doing it 5 years friend, if they knew about it they'd have done something.
Either that or the backlog is so thick I'll be retired by the time they get to me. You seem to think this is a certainty. It isn't
Nolan Harris
its basically giving your car to a nigger and he says he will bring it back

Not immediately, but some reason will be found to disconnect the domain name from the server.
ICANN has zero obligation to uphold free speech.
Noah Cox
Now countries can force their main providers to block access on country level. After The Happening UN will be able to block any site for the whole world.
Luis Rivera
Just go to the lazy eight, faggots
Andrew Richardson
neither does the private US company that owns that shit now
Luis Scott
Correct, and even if you could access Cred Forums using tor you would not be able to post, as tor IPs are banned.
Liam Moore
Makes it easier for any country to block websites, and the UN can collectively make cases to block websites in random countries even if the country doesn't want it blocked.
>What are the actual odds that Cred Forums will be blocked for america? Nothing. The first amendment will protect you guys. I can see the EU trying to push to censor Cred Forums and maybe Australia since Australia already censors a lot of websites they see problematic. Canada doesn't censor websites but Trudeau might go full cuck if he gets the opportunity to censor shit with the click of a button.

Well 5 years sounds like a solid amount of time. But still the possibility that they get you someday exists, if you can just not give a fuck about it I really envy you. I won't be able to continue normal life if I knew that govs have compromising data on me that they can use to wreck my life if they want to. Country I live in is pretty harsh about those who want a change of regime. People get thrown in jail with legal excuse like "insult of faithful people's feelings" after they post a pic in our facebook while actual reason is their alignment towards the government. So its better not to provide them with any info that can compromise you in any way.
Jaxon Martin

I'm pretty sure that's not how the un works. At most the un puts out policy suggestions. Treaty agreements which must be authorized by individual states must be signed for that stuff. It sounds like this is just more posturing and intimidating than anything.
Jason Flores
The question is why did they wait until 3 hours before to file a motion? This has been coming for days.
Oliver Cook
Why, exactly, is the internet in danger? As far as I know, nothing is changing. The group that were handing control to already had full control in everything but name.
I guess the only problem now is that there is no way for use to challenge the international law.
Juan Scott
You won't be able to check whether it works or not before they implement the ban on some site. I didn't conduct a research on that matter but I beleive simple VPN can allow you to avoid the ban as it basically tells the internet that you are in some other country where no ban exists. It won't work in case of global ban though.
Nathan Rodriguez
Google already does that. I wonder if mirror or archive sites get around that.
Brody Wood
Thanks Aussie bro, I can't stand these happening fags anymore

They won't get rid of Cred Forums. Getting rid of Cred Forums would let loose a hornets nest worth of shitposters onto the web. If they get rid of Cred Forums Cred Forums would post links to CP on YouTube comments. Cred Forums is a containment board from the rest of the normie net.

International law has to be ratified by member states, i.e. the us. So if our Congress tries anything funny, we boot them out of office and the next group can vote to break the treaty (which isn't without consequences)

That's not how big UN works. Lesser committees don't give a fuck about that shit, they'll get to international court and show the judge site where basement dwellers say that nignogs should be gassed and jews are behind everything and the court will issue a decision to disable the site for hate speech.

yeah also secret services still need an easy to find place to track right wing activity

The un still has to worry about pissing off its members, especially the big ones. Russia, us, and china dont really like the idea of a random judge deciding they cant do shit. China's already giving no fucks. If the un tries to lock down sites without countries permission, they'll risk losing those countries. And russia is highly likely to use it's muscle.
Kevin Gutierrez
?????????????????????????????????
Adam Carter
That is a stressful way of life but be honest, would you rather be in America?
Ayden Ward
You can, and I've stated it in my post. But try connecting to Cred Forums ip - 104.16.66.203 - and see what happens. This feature is disabled for a reason, it's a minor security breach to have your site accessible via IP. Also there will be problems with getting IPs of banned sites - checkers like get-site-ip.com/ use DNS to look that info up and after the record is removed from DNS table IP adress will be pretty difficult to determine, you'll need to just know it beforehand or get onto some geek forum where they will share such info hand-to-hand.
Brandon Harris
Is there a Tor chan where I could shitpost without NSA monitoring?

Why are there so many fucking Italians on TOR? Mafia-related shit?
Carson Lewis
Yep. You have guns, I was literally afraid to hit a drunkard that grabbed me on tram platform too hard cause if I cause even moderate damage like broken tooth I can get in custody and my record will prevent me from getting any good job cause big wigs don't like ex-criminals working for them. You have freedom of speech (at least for now) and better living conditions on average, minimal wage is also a lot higher, medicine is also a lot better if you can afford it - I need lasic surgery to get eyesight back but equipment in our clinics is mostly outdated and fuckups happen from time to time - a couple of days ago people who were treated with medicine that prevents retinal detachment became completely blind cause the drug was ill-made. However, you have police on your doorstep if you download shit via torrent, and taxes are somewhat high, but the latter stands till Trump is elected. So yeah, I'd rather be in USA.

Emphasis on the part about global bans, though. If Cred Forums.org becomes disconnected from its servers' IPs, it's going to be a lot harder to get to this place. OTOH, if they do that we're probably already at war.

Same same but different. DNS is the domain and server that your IP routes through. Therefore if you own your own server, only you can control what goes through it. Doesnt make it harder to penetrate, but harder to find at least. And the only way to shut it down is the country the server is in shutting it down by force or subpoena.
Jaxson Brown
Italy is one of the dodgiest countries in Europe and has a history of being so. Malta is probably a bit worse but, Italy is where all the real shit goes down.
Aaron Parker
You're choosing whether to have ICANN or the OpenNIC project resolve your DNS. If ICANN fuddles with the DNS records, this will help.
If ICANN goes hard in the paint and revokes Cred Forums's IPs it's ogre.
Sebastian Miller
Spoken like someone that has no idea how Tor even works.
The only way the feds were able to break that child porn ring (Operation Playpen) was that they got authorization from the courts to send what is essentially malware to the server hosting the site, which they then seized and operated for about a week, sending similar malware to the users.
And several courts since then have ruled that to be unconstitutional and ruled to acquit the alleged pedophiles.

Kekd so loud some windows in close proximity cracked. That is exactly what "under CIA control" is. CIA has sufficient tools to take over the nodes and it won't be an issue for them to get a legal foundation for such actions. Tor has been compromised for at least a year now.

Spread this as fast as possible. Worldwide censorship is unreversable, so in the small chance it actually ends up happening, we should all be mobilized and prepared to act against it.

Just localize with your own server and network.
You can broadcast a pretty decent sized wireless signal yall shouldn't be in a chaotic desperate attempt to build a new internet.
You should be backing up as much of the current accessible internet as you can before you can't.
Sebastian Price
Of the things that should be treason all three of those things, yes even pedophiles, are about 50 places lower on the priorities list than politicians who take donations from foreign nationals or who join the UN after serving as president of the US

Also, the DNS thing ain't even the least bit worrying, yall should get a load of the CDN and ISP relations.
Not that guy, but the NSA has virtually no rules when dealing with foreign networks.
That guy is mistaken though. In order for the NSA to deanonymize even a small percentage of the traffic, they would need to be monitoring almost the entire network, which they haven't been able to do as of 2013.

If ICANN ever fucked with the root DNS in a way that censored the Internet, you can be guaranteed there would be a rapid uprising to migrate to an alternate root or to a DNS alternative. The DNS tech is dated as fuck and relies too much on a centralized authority anyway. It would be worth the chaos just to replace it. Getting tired of seeing articles about this stupid shit everywhere as if DNS = the Internet.
Austin Roberts
Yeah, if you look back in the comment chain, you'll see that the discussion started when I brought up that the Playpen bust only occurred because the government took control of the server and ran it for several weeks, infecting the computers of those who accessed it in a way that allowed them to be traced.
The US government literally ran a pedophile website as a honeytrap, lol.
Also, you don't need to mention that you're not that guy; I can see your ID.

Why would anyone want to make the Internet more like TV?
I'd much rather there be a customizable Internet experience for every individual under complete control of the individual from the very start by default with an option to tune into the singularity than being stuck with only a singular stream of consciousness and no option to be alone because people were concerned that being alone was unhealthy.
Pretty much how broadcasting technology is already set up today albeit most of it is wasted on useless shit.

CP is obviously wrong and shouldn't be tolerated, but the sale and use of drugs via the darkweb is a completely victimless crime. Piracy is debatable, but I stand by it.

Gotta feel bad for those guys that gotta deduplicate that cp, like how you gonna know its cp unless you see the cp.
Takes a pedo to know a pedo, so you got pedo's catching pedos and stopping pedos from being child molesters, but hey maybe in some sick way they like their job? Thats a little weird for me to think about. lol.
Haven't seen any cp posted on Cred Forums for a while, good riddance and only suggestible cp content seen frequenting Cred Forums so far has been cartoon and then you got the gore shit that is easier to stomach at least for me.
But from the general looks of things they've uninstalled the cp.
Bentley Hernandez
And I choose Privacy and Liberty. Our country may not be 100% safe, but no one's is. Destroying the foundations of the internet for the sake of our Constitutional rights might make it safer and it might not. It may also allow for a huge amount of abuse and corruption. Given what we know history and human nature, which is more likely? And that's just when you consider something like terrorism.
Whose safety is directly jeopardized by piracy and dark web drug sales? CP is the only thing that jeopardizes the safety of children, and if you make it impossible for pedos to use the internet, it might slow them down, but eventually they'll go back to what they did before the internet existed: Circulating files via sneaker nets and the like, going to other countries where they can get away with fucking kids, or just raping children without filming and trading it.
tl;dr: America is plenty safe, and trying to make it "safer" at the expense of the foundations of this country and the last bastion of truly free exchange of ideas on the planet is horse shit. Call me a racist, a terrorist, a pirate, or a pedophile, or whatever other morally reprehensible thing you can think of, but until you have an actual counter argument, I'm going to assume I'm right.

I saw some CP a few months back on Cred Forums, but it was in an incest thread and posted in that context. The old days of people just coming on here to post CP for shock value and "lulz" had practically ended in like 07. It's a different world here now.
