The top one could single handedly wipe out UK out of existence.

Top bottom one doesn't carry any weapons because they're illegal.

Dude, the top one literally looks like it runs on coal.

>top
Looks like a war machine that drinks oil and pisses casualties
>bottom
Utterly unimpressive fagboat that would probably be mistaken as a fishing vessel

no its just daily burnings of tires on Carrier

I don't know how bi/pol/ars can be this retarded.
All Russian and former Soviet hardware run on vodka.

Britcuck towers are painted in black.

What did they mean with this?

Yes, they're shit.
>inb4 poor rags and Russian shills try and convince everyone that ships are outdated

Who would win?

Russia has all the resources to make the most advance military tech but guess what happens, the corrupt russian military and putin are busy stealing all the money either by delaying it, scraping it or extreme cost cutting by just updating/retrofitting aging tech lying around. They scraped the new AK12 to just use existing AKM parts with slight changes thanks to russian military.

Why do they burn tires?

kuznetsov is a carrier not a nuke launcher

The one who doesn't have to have a tug boat sailing alongside in case of a breakdown

Implying that half the world wouldn't join in to defend The Royal NAVY.

It's worse than it looks

Russia has an economy smaller than Italy and Canada. Their currency is crashing and infrastructure crumbling.

Russia had to recently shelf their "next gen" Frigates because they ran out of money for them.

They lacked the ability to build amphibious warfare ships so the French made them instead. After Putin tried to anschluss Ukraine the French cancelled the deal and gave the ships to fucking Egypt.

Russia's air force "modernization" is only going to add around 200-300 aircraft over the next 15 years, still leaving tons of squadrons with rusting old frames.

The "Russia stronk" bit is just a meme

>Is Russian military tech really as aged and outdated as they look?

Yes

Russian navy is especially a joke, though historically that's always been the case.

Russian tech is a meme here, it's always talked up but any time it faces any sort of challenge it seems to fail.

russia wouldn't bother fighting us, they enjoy our whiskey too much

Russia doesn't focus much on their navy. They are largely a land-power; whereas the US and Britain are largely naval powers.

It's probably the worst carrier i've ever seen.

The US would wipe the floor with Russia.

Signals to the militia that we're coming

Russia has the best anti-air on the planet. I've also heard good things about their subs although they're clearly not that cutting edge. Remains to be seen what comes or of the PAK FA

They do get much more bang for their buck than the British though, not the USA because you have the petrodollar paying your bills.

I wonder if there are more anti-Russia shills or anti-Trump shills.

Every thread about Russia is like a call for war against a bunch of easterners we have no problem with. If you don't like Russia, you may as well be obama,ISIS or an Israeli

kekd so fucking hard

...

Well when they just randomly come into your waters without any sort of warning it is a bit provocative.

True, but you won't half the world if these guys rock up.

i.imgur.com/awVKTLr.jpg

You know there's an old russian saying that goes;

Ivan, if is broke, do not fix it. Now come, drink vodka or I put your family in gulag.. Ha-ha-ha! Stupid son of whore!

UNDERRATED

They don't really. Russias military limitations are on full display in Ukraine and Syria where after over a year of fighting they've accomplished little on both fronts.

the russki naval doctrine is to make a shitload of nuke launching submarine, they could careless about power projection via naval air superiority

lel

True though.

Don't worry we are updating our military for the upcoming war.

lol, what is Iraq and Afghanistan?

>Russias military limitations are on full display in Ukraine and Syria where after over a year of fighting they've accomplished little on both fronts.
The nerve of this moron, I don't even.

No offence mate but u could say the same about the US in Afghanistan.

No. Russian military stuff is actually pretty good, even if its half a century old. They made kick-ass weapons and tanks back in the days.

That's just a plain retarded statement. Assad was on the brink before they showed up, now he's on the verge of victory. In Ukraine they're fighting a proxy war but so far they got what they wanted, ie Ukraine is or of the EU and NATO and they don't control their Eastern part

Supposedly a lot of the Russian ships aren't really ready for combat and would be classified as inactive or decommissioned by other militaries.

Ho boy, I hit a nerve

Anyway Iraq and Afghanistan were unconventional conflicts, whereas the war in Syria is largely conventional and has frontlines yet Russia is still ineffective. Learn the difference.

Russia has a big split right now between Soviet-era equipment and modern equipment produced in the past decade, especially since the 2008 Georgia War.

Some of the Soviet-era stuff is good, but it's not very modern anymore. Some of it can be upgraded with modern components, like GPS units, but some is more difficult. Russia actually used a lot of its VERY oldest weapons during the two Chechen wars, so we're mostly talking about 70's-80's gear rather than stuff from the immediate postwar era or something.

But anyway, Russia's defense strategy is not oriented toward naval projection power. Having a big global navy is not a Russian priority. The goal is strong continental defense and projection-power to around 1,000km of Russian borders, which is something Russia can do fairly well in 2016 compared to 2008 or even 2012.

>I hit a nerve
You succeded in attracting attention by being a drooling retard, yes. Congratulations.

Top is an aircraft carrier. Bottom is a Type 45 air defence destroyer. Gee wonder who will win.

The admiral Kuznetsov maybe is old, but has the same air-defense capabilities of an entire carrier group

YOU ARE ALWAYS MAKING YOUR SHIPS TOO TALL!! THAT'S NOT SEAWORTHY!

fucking anglos can't into making of fisking ships still!

No offense m8 but you could say the same about Russia in Afghanistan.

but russia has no boots on the ground there m8, in syria only specops.

while u literally spilled a full army group in afghaniraq

>ramp

:^)

Supposedly

Supposedly a jammer on a Russian jet can disable an entire US destroyer, yet when it came down to it the same jet was gibbed by a basic bitch f16 with a basic bitch AIM

Why can't stronk russian air force defeat a bunch of toyota pickups in a conventional war?

Well we did accomplish our military objectives in both wars, not our fault those sandniggers don't want democracy

>Top is an aircraft carrier
Aircraft-carrying cruiser actually. It's not really fair to compare it to pure (unarmed) carriers.

Umm, it did?

This is stupid. The Tor is a point defense/tactical system The ESSM is a superior air defense system.

Not to mention a Nimitz carries far more modern fighters, which is the key to carrier air defense

Syria's civil war is over? Wow, I didn't know.

I don't think carriers are unarmed though.

The military strategy for Russian is geared more towards defence. So lots of nukes, anti aircraft missiles, ICBMs to shoot down nukes etc.

Since 2008 war with Georgia, they have started an upgrade program.

...

FLYING FISKING SKIPS I KNEW IT!

I see Valdemar there flying along our coast with these, dey got fishnets! I'm sure of it!

11/10

>why didn't your air support won a war all by themselves?
You tell me americuck.

A dude in a rusty suit can't take care of his shit

I'm more interested in China. There was a big think tank study recently that said by 2025 China will have sufficient A2AD capability to deter any US aggression as too costly and risky

Imagine how strong Russia could get if we gave them the same aid and military equipment we give Israel

Its first mission is the one in syria, where the planes bomb Moderates.

Does Norway even have an army?

I hope this is your way of trolling. I don`t want to believe you are really this retarded.

>Conventional war
Like Iraq vs ISIS? Should be easy, only 10k-30k ISIS fighters vs over a million US armed Iraqis+American air support, why is it taking so long bro?

>the planes bomb Moderates.
That is the most actions carriers have seen since Midway anyway

Look at the flag.

>falling for the "moderates" meme

Oh its the "We murrica we greater than all other countries" thread. This is the reason you are so fucked up. Look at your elections, the whole world is laughing at you.
Still you live in a delusion of being superior to anyone else. That is completely bullshit, you just dont wanna admit that the world doesnt revolve around your corrupted shithole. You dont even wanna admit that your country is a corrupted shithole. Its all good, nothing fishy going on anywhere.

What great victory have they had, mr. slav?

toyota produces them faster than russia can destroy :( Also, in addition they've started using isuzu aswell.

u.k. doesn't have aircraft carriers. no, elizabeth doesn't count until it becomes operational in 2020

So let me get this straight mr. sand nigger, Russia is waging a war it knows it can't actually win? Why?

There are actually Russian ground troops in Syria btw. There's vids of their invincible T-90 tanks being blown up

Yeah mate, they've achieved little.

Keep lying to yourself buddy.

They brag about having the best military because they do. That doesn't have anything to do with the country its self.

Yes
Whales, baby seals and Sven and his son there Valdemar when they either start into talking unions or try to fisk in our waters. We will face total nuclear annihilation for our fisk. Kinda same with samiball and his reindeer, but he doesn't really give a shit about any borders either, just his reindeer.

Me and Valdemar got along better now after we fought for ever over ...... a small patch of water on the border there not in pic.. well that was settled in 2011, but he better not send his fisking skips here.

>mumble god damn smutthavet

the most advanced ships on this planet are actually steam ships

because they run on steam

thats all the supercarriers

Yeah, I guess USA gives us the worst fucking posters lately. I suppose elections are to blame, they attract a lot of children with zero knowledge here.

>the French cancelled the deal and gave the ships to fucking Egypt
Egypt paid for it.

What I find surprising is how the UK and Russian only have 1 carrier each but the US has 12.

Are carriers costly as fuck to build compared to other boats or something?

How and why the heck does the US have so many?

Underrated post.

Well I never said we had a better military, but now that you mention it, we do.

Want to actually address the post or go off on another tangent about how mean big ol merica is?

I think by unarmed he means it would only carry small arms and operate as part of a fleet

The type 45s would be great if only they hadn't cheaped out on the engines, damn RN at the moment wants the most expensive ships built in the cheapest way possible.

They brag about it because they see it as a good thing. That is not usually the case.
Also, no one has really an idea of the politics behind the wars the nation is waging.

>czech
>slav

holy fuck

top one is going to get new radar arrays, and package of new long range missiles (S-400, Oniks).

Bottom one. Stealth is a meme for warships as you're using you active radar. That goes will all """stealth""" ships. Period.

Just by the fact you made that long post about your butthurt feelings I can tell American politics have a great deal of effect on you

Like, shit man, sorry nobody cares about Finland, it's not our fault, calm the fuck down

Carriers cost a whole fuckton

and the US has a bunch of them because we make a fuckton more money than anyone else.

This. Never underestimate the power of vodka and gun, which might be primitive but will work under any condition. That's what russian weapons are, they compensate the lack of refinment through the massive amount of people, who are like orcs.

They are extremely expensive to build and you have to consider the practicality. Do you need an aircraft carrier? Take in to account just how expensive they are and that they'll be mundane in half a century. Is it worth spending that much?

Half of the world hates the US so I suppose it makes sense for them to keep military dominance.

...

Says the slav subhuman

Assad was practically fucked before Russia stepped in, look where he is now.
And the roosters only wanted Crimea and most of the Ukrainian Navy.

Fucking 'murrigans I swear.

Not really. Politicians are trying to decommision most of whats left. Nowadays official Norwegian doctrine is "be good ally". Which in result means were basically a PMC delivering SOF and fighters to American proxy wars, in addition to intelligence from our neighboring country

Rabia, Daraa and they're about to take Aleppo which will essentially end the war. That's why Kerry is crying in the media so much, he's worried for his """"""moderates""""""""

The Saudi's actually did.

doh army I got a parrot in my door here...

well not much to show for now anymoar... like the 30ies they are dismantling it..

We got the national guard though and constriction, so in case of war we actually do have a lot of standing trained soldiers of all sorts. Like the good old leiðang.

And there was that god damn parrot again....
>This be Skjold(shield, also the son of Odin) a small stealth fishing vessel that can go up your rivers again

What great victory did you have, Burger?

Why are you speaking english on an american computer network?

VICTORY ANY DAY NOW IN ALEPPO

Dunno how long Cred Forums has been telling me this.

I think it sucks to suck. So it defiantly must suck to be Russia.

>Stealth ship is in essence a blind ship making all enemy ships stealth to it
Pottery

OMFG
M
F
G

worst gore ever posted on chans, i'm actually crying right now.

Is that one of our new destroyers? The same destroyers that have suffered repeated catastrophic amd sudden electrical failures in the middle of the fucking ocean that render them totally inert and useless? Yeah way to compare dicks you moron

>laughs as 20 yr old missile screams toward
>pfft old tech

I don't care, America is fucked under the nigger President.

Crying about America doesnt' excuse Russia being a mess though.

America itself isn't as good as what they make themselves out to be, but the US Military on the other hand is. It isn't hard to notice this and sure, they are definitely not the most trained or most numerous, but they have a good balance in both fields, with good training and large numbers of soldiers.

Kek. If that's true that's hilarious.

>"Hey Putin, we're not gonna give you your ships"
>"We're gonna give them to Egypt and the Saudis will pay for it"

> Russia is waging a war it knows it can't actually win?
Can you actually read Jamal? Russia is not a main participant in Syrian conflict, they're helping Assad's forces.
Also T-90's are crewed by syrian tankers, just like your Abrams tanks in Saudi Arabia, which are being destroyed by Yemeni literal goatfuckers.

>I don't care, America is fucked under the nigger President.
Just wait for the first woman President

Man am I happy you dont care about us. Best way to avoid war.
And of course your fucked up politics affect myself too. Especially when you are pushing stuff like restricting trade with russia. How does it affect you across the sea? It doesnt. How about us, having 1000km of border with russia? Yheah. Get out of your bubble amerifag, i clearly got you a bit salty.

...

Cant wait desu senpai

It makes the logistics of invading 3rd world countries easier. Rather than making deals for use of airfields, you can just park outside the border and start air ops. Russia probably believes it to be easier to destroy a carrier with high tech weaponry, rather than paying for the carrier and paying for its defensive measures

Is some Indonesian sand nigger really calling me jamal? Holy kek you subhumans are reliant on the $10 I send a month.

kek

I literally could not point to your country on a map if you paid me

Thats Poland, you stupid burger fuck. Holy shit, Americans really do live up to the education system meme.

Yes, true. America has spent such amounts of money in guns, that none can really compete.
Everything else is fucked up tho.

CURVED

...

A FUCKING RAMP

i can feel so much buttpain in this post

Our fleet is fucked up. We are building modern ships too slow. Also we have only one steam powered (YES) aircraft carrier that is on OP pic. Tellurocracy, maaan.

Good. Keep your stupidity across the sea.

>national guard
>trained
kek

We are currently spending more money training moderates and al qaeda than on the national guard. even if we only manage to educate 5...

You Muslims in Europe know a thing or two about eating I hear

Turkish F-16 didn't have Windows OC.

You however I can point to

I wasn't trying to take a shot at the US. I was being serious. Aircraft carriers can cost between $6-$12 billion, and they simply aren't practical or needed for some, even the majority, of countries. Nor could they afford vast sums of them, but it could be considered easier to destroy them in a warfare scenario. The other bit, about them being mundane in half a century, is also true. And they won't recycle for the same price as other military equipment might.

As for the part about half of the world hating America, that's true.

The British navy suffers the modern problem of using contractors for everything which results in subpar workmanship. The military and most things related to it should be controlled and operated by the government, privatization despite the allure of saving money is a failure.

Oh please ... even North Korea have a better navy than yours

Gonna be waiting at least 4 years.

It's from 1970 too.
Yes it is. After the collapse of the SU there have been no investments into infrastructures or new tech for a long time. While the old systems were and still are pretty good, they are matched by western systems. Also, the maintenance is pretty shoddy.

jesus christ this board has really fallen of as of late

can't wait for the elections to be over and laugh at all you faggots when hillary wins

This is still a myth, a strange thing about that shit that happened in the Black Sea. Maybe this is just a lie.

That Russian pre-historic jet bomber in Syria did not have these "EMP" containers.

is this really true

sorta sad

All Britain needs is to cut money on the army, build up the navy, keep the nuclear submarines circling the UK as they do 24/7 and we're fucking set. No need to involve ourselves in wars unless its a civil/race war.

a lot of loyalty for a wheel!

That's why Dark Souls 1 is shit.

Look at him. he is actually PROUD of his lack of knowledge, not ashamed of it.

Why should an alpha predator concern itself with the musings of the bottom feeders?

There used to be a time where the Royal Navy would BTFO even the current US Navy, what the fuck UK?

Don't act superior because you know where things are on a map. If you asked Europeans to point out American states, they'd struggle to point out 1 and name more than 10.

...

Shame America can't predict what will become mundane a half century in the future like you can. We might have saved some our boys from dying rescuing Europe in Dubya2.

Oh how faggy can you be? More smoke, more steel noise, fire and death, the better. British ships run on solar-power, flowers and good-will?

Yes, of course. How alpha is that man, not knowing a shit about the world around you.
This is why i generally dislike americans.

FUCKING ITALY

Are you saying you can't point out 10 US states?

>How and why the heck does the US have so many?

How is simply money. Why is a combination of the US Navy being the only navy to emerge from WW2 with a sizeable carrier fleet and kept upgrading them, and the purpose of carriers. Carriers are there for power projection; you use them in areas far removed from your own borders. There's no point building them if you only plan to fight near your borders; an airbase is cheaper, more defensible, and can hold way more aircraft. If, on the other hand, you have allies scattered across the world and isolated outposts on the other side of the Pacific ocean from your borders, carriers are one of the best ways to defend them.

Are you surprised that military technology evolves? We did go from ballistas to nuclear bombs.

He doesnt, he just points out that someone acts superior because they dont care to know.

I couldn't point them out but I can name them. But Europeans acting like they're any smarter than your average American in terms of geography and mocking them for it is just them trying to sound superior.

>We are currently spending more money training moderates and al qaeda than on the national guard. even if we only manage to educate 5...

kekked

yeah but you know the regular conscription army, everyone does it for 1y+- dep on your service, so you know the drill.

Our special forces however they fucking rock, we don't get to know much about them other than they are out hunting baggers now.

I think this was what we saw when our "The New Syrian" arrived and cleared the way slight over into iraq, then poof. Gone where they at?
That wasn't fucking just FSA/TNS/AQ mate, they went like boom isis basically headed for the hills.

What ever happened there we can only speculate, but that was actually damn awesome to watch.... but yeah these proxies, training terrorists... WTF MAN, 1-2-3 we change sides nåw, we're isis

But yes....

I on the other hand have no opinion whatsoever about Finnish people, culture, land, whatever because it will never affect me or my life or politics in my country in general

Do you?

european states are much easier because there are actual differences between them

>We are building modern ships too slow.
We doesn't need big fleet.

Well that's true.

Wath this user said.

Russia's big military reform is simply to upgrade as mash of their army from 60s/70s soviet old material to more modern 90s material.

Merricka did something similar in the late 70s and early 80s.

You actually missed Hjaltland here, but dat's good, but because that's our fisk actually and our people. Orkeyjar there too. Drunkard Danish prince... nuff said... fucking unions! selling our people for booze debts!

If you see at the names there, they are not english. Same actually applies to a lot around yorkshire too, but dat be english clay after 1066.

That's what people have told me, my issue with that is

Assuming this device exists, assuming its as effective as Russia claims it is, why would this plane not be equipped with it? its the same type of plane, and it'd be one thing if it had a syrian pilot or whatever, fair enough, but it was a Russian pilot, was his life that insignificant that they wouldn't bother equipping this mysterious device?

It seems like there is a theme with American encounters with the Russian airforce

The Russian airforce will fly real close, as if maybe they want to look like they are going to attack, maybe to provoke some sort of reaction by US pilots, and when they don't get that reaction they claim it's because the US equipment was mysteriously jammed, and certainly isn't because American roe states don't fire unless fired upon

I think Russia does a lot with what they have, but when they pull stuff like this it just makes me wonder about their whole military

Controlling the present has a great influence on what you will control in the future. Shit will be different in 50 years in never a great argument,

there is literally nothing wrong with this.

nothing more redpilled than strengthening ones own immune system.

Atleast you'll get the slav part right, americunt.

if only there was some way to keep an active radar in the theatre, but not on board...

How exactly have you calculated this?

They will duly note your dislike, ant-friend.

You do knkw that your army, canada's army and Nz's army would be called up too.

Did they fix the T45's electrical problems yet? They were going to add an extra engine or something.

skjold is awesome

Russian Navy is trash tier, but their aerospace industries are the envy of the world.

China is too fucking stupid to create cheap knockoff counterfeits, they are literally out of their league compared to Russian aerospace industries.

Everybody that's not buying into the F35 meme is buying Su-27s and Su-34s.

Dat's a female pike, they male ones rarely get over 5 kg, but they put up a fight as hell though.

The females varies a bit, sometimes you must struggle when they get big or þeim tare the "reiv" apart (YOU DID NOT READ THAT OPPSYNSMANN/POLITITET). For southern faggots that's a long line of typical nylon with about 1-2 meters a part with a line, a steel "line" (fortom) at the end with the live bait.

Some of them can be a bit like þorsk actually, like dragging up a log.

Not best pic, but he bites your fingers and toes straight off. It actually happens here time to time that people are dipping their toe in the water then CHUMP.. toe gone, usually bigone if I'm not mistaken.

How military technology evolves.

Fish is the only thing we have so we better fight for it. I happen to work in the industry.

We have the same shit here too. We need fishing cards and shit, but if I go I would go illegally. Takes all the fun out of it by having to sign papers and shit.

ok you didnt cool

It has anti ship missiles that are nuclear capable.

So what's Canada replacing their Hornet's with?

>Fish is the only thing we have so we better fight for it. I happen to work in the industry.
It's the same here too, all we got - the oil that will run out in the end or be replaced by something fancier, it's fisk. It's just a big rock with a coastline, sour soil and some wood on the eastlands and in finnmark where it's mostly tundra. So fisk is all we got same with the færinger too, hjaltlendiger too I'm sure

>We have the same shit here too. We need fishing cards and shit, but if I go I would go illegally. Takes all the fun out of it by having to sign papers and shit.

kek

Weaponized Canada geese.

It doesn't have a ramp because your planes aren't V/STOL

The British designed the harrier and used it as our main carrier jet for years and now they're being replaced by F-35 VTOL variants.

So basically, once the F-35's have all been rolled out, our setup will be superior because we'll basically be using the same planes but ours can take off much quicker.

You win.

>American planes are so fat that you need mobility scooters to get them off the deck.

SAVED!

The cat's they don't steal our fisk, they usually get the shit fisk or remains. They keep the rodents away so their are useful animals. We still kill them and use them as cancer and lobster bait though. The fuckers are made about cat meat.

Same reason you couldn't, probably.

Once we were fish kikes and had all the fisk from the white sea too cape cod.

The fisk there west is bigger than here, same with the moose too. I'm not sure if it's the ones in Markland and beyond or the Siberian ones that are the biggest of them.

Memes?

America did tho, al-Qaeda was destroyed in Iraq. ISIS grew in Syria.

F 35 is supposed to be outdated by 2060 I think, half a century is way too long m8

save a life, bin that naval gun

fuck me that's close

British military is cucked. In terms of total expenditure we should have a decent sized military still but most of it gets wasted on bullshit. Yeah our newest ships may be a bit more advanced than those of the Russians (maybe, lots of problems with these newer designs) but we have so few of them that it wouldn't take much effort to completely destroy any power we have at sea in a serious war.

Don't even get be started on those fucking Aircraft Carriers that we're either a) sharing with the French b) mothballing as soon as they're completed and c) no longer have fucking aircraft to put on them even if we tried using them.

man it's driving me crazy everytime you write fisk, i think you mean to type fish

Don't even into the tryings there Valdemar Svenson!

But yes war is coming, Odin needs his soldiers and the entire world seems to turn into pussies, feminists running around like the Vandal in them chopping of heads. Shitskins are like a feminized Vandal, he ended up down there you know. You're naughty uncle Genserik(Genseric), we like our boys to be bad, but damnit. Dan had to throw him out, he got sick of his headchopping so he went all through europe making monuments of heads(isis haven't started this yet kek), sacking rome and then taking Cartage, yes you know this, your long lost uncle there. He weren't quite right.

BUT NOT OUR FISK VALDEMAR!
That's uncles fisk.

>I literally could not point to your country on a map if you paid me

Americans are really this stupid. He thinks it's a point of pride that he can't find Finland on a map because Finland is "unimportant", but that's a level of ignorance that's usually remedied by the end of middle school at the latest. This is basic world knowledge.

American education is genuinely failing. Worse, their culture seems proud of it. Smug about it. It's difficult to know how to respond to such a psychology.

satan dubs! This guy will kill good ol pedo Baggers!

No.

And a hole in the head of those who allowed him to prosper

Supposedly, the Kuznetsov has undergone modernisation after the tugboat incident.
In the next couple of months, it will be sent to Syria.
I wonder how it will go.

That's completely illogical Hans, the planes get off on their own thus not needing a ramp.

>vrooooooooooooooom

Not just money but technical know-how. Russia just hasn't invested in that particular form of navy tech but they would love to have more carriers. They were supposed to buy a Mistral but Ukraine ended that ambition.

Move along faggots

REAL NAVY IS HERE

God damnit get of my board hun!
It isn't that much yet I say.

>fucking women can't even shitpost on a anonymous japanese whale hunting site and they still track you down from the living room... prolly on her fucking windows shit too

Fleet comparisons are fucked up anyways:

>Most anywhere else
CV with a ramp
CA

FF
Corvette
Patrol and Small craft

I don't know why US Frigates are bigger than cruisers, they just are.

shut up malaysia

Roasted

The probably put a tug boat in the engine room.

>We're superior cause our airforce sucks

Hehe

this

It keeps breaking down due to engine failure. The Kuznetsov is a fucking Cold-War-Era CV. Its basically as old as the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

They should just scrap her or at the very least build a modern one like the US with the Ford-class.

Yeah our military is ugly but very solid and reliable.

How 2 defeat Russian
missles

Carriers are a symptom of overextension in the post Cold War era. Think about what a carrier does, functionally, and what it means, politically.

>It's difficult to know how to respond to such a psychology.
How bout kys?

>Its basically as old as the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).
Not really.
The Kuznetsov was laid down in 1982 and launched in 1991, with it being theoretically completely operational in 1995.
The problem with the ship really isn't the ship herself. It's the fact that it had to survive through the 90s, where Russia could not afford to keep her afloat. Eventually, a huge lack of maintenance led to her developing her engine problems.
Which supposedly will be fixed in the upcoming future. Let's see how it goes.

Reeee
That's Scotlands fish you volcanic swine.

If only if you could have a radar that wasn't on a ship.

>F-35 sucks

And whose fault is that?

>reliable
The Kuznetsov certainly isn't.

>Knew it sucked, whole world knew it. Still bought it. Stay kekked my man.

Jews.

>accomplished military objectives in Afghanistan
>Taliban still there
>Only thing the afghan army does is smoke hashish and bugger little boys
>Government is non-existant outside major cities

Russian Navy is still wrecked from lack of maintenance and investment.

They are still sailing what they can, and they are effecrive vs most of the worlds navies, but existing on borrowed time and ad hoc solutions.

The next few decades will almost certainly see Russia investing heaviky investing in new ships.

Atm they are more focused on army and airforce procurement, which is and will always remain the primary focus of russian military strategy. but navy will soon follow, due to the need to project force globally, especially across water.

it will be very interesting to see what fleet doctrines russia chooses.

>superior
>same planes

Wake up to reality mate.

Are we still living in 2008? There is no chance whatsoever of Britain sharing the QE Class carriers with the French, that idea went out the window ages ago. The only issue at the moment with the QE Class is the fucking americans who cant get the F35 ready.

It would be nice if there were more Type 45s though.

Operational 2017 friend

>USS Maxresdefault ?
Yes, that's it, lol! No, it's the Nimitz. I think her last refit was in 2001.

>why havent you killed an ideology
>forming a government is a military goal

Yep, only thing wrong with the brit carriers is the F-35 is still buggy. But we will get it right, we even got the osprey right.

I'll just leave it here

Russia is strange. Some of their stuff works. Sometimes they have reasonable successes.

More often than not things go very wrong for them.

The hostage crisis becomes a massacre because the spetznas commander was drunk.

Their top submarine just sinks. Drunk russian captains crashes into oilrigs in the north sea.

Theyre kinda like the imperial guard. They can win but theres nothing left when theyre done.

>Because we are indebted into next century to China and Japan while our crippled husk of a country keeps spending money on all the made up, and real threats our government can come up with to pay tribute to our jew and arms manufacturing Gods while i, a citizen go on forums and brag about muh guns it instead of doing something about it.

Russia has a history regarding it's navy.
Ask the Japs.
Memes aside though, they have done marvelously in Syria.

>American education.

Kinda. They bomb the shit out it. Not much is left. A ton of people die. Victory declared.

You can literally hover your cursor over the flag or click on it. There is no excuse for this autism my man.

One thing to remember about the Russian Navy is that it does not have the same goals as most western Navies.

Most western navys are "coast guard" and "Force projection" type duties.

Russia is "Motherland defense" and "SLBM defense", and is built accordingly.

>muh civilians
It's war.
Get over it.
And speaking of it, Assad is on his way to BTFO of the (((rebels))) in Aleppo.

So WWIII happens, This and "0 attack helicopter" Canada are going to be our two main allies vs China and Russia? top fucking kek we should be full blown isolationist already, let the cucks fend for themselves, and if the russians move in, atleast we will have uncucked neighbors

BIG

You do realise that US aircarriers have a little thing called catapult?
USSR just had built an aircraft with a different form of launch assist.
Aka a ramp.

is this ship okay?

That's not a real equivalency. I do agree that most Europeans would struggle to name the states of US, but they would struggle in naming the states of Germany, regions of France or Oblasts of Russia just the same.

Your ship on Russian ASM

I think it's pretty brilliant the ruskies went back to smoke signals.

WW3 soon plz

>Ukraine

>Syria
Aleppo is being flattened and the US has literally been shown the door by Russia in the Middle East

we should just invade russia and set up a puppet government.

I count 7 """naval guns"""

You never heard of Perimeter system, huh?

You should read the Common Sense. It has an interesting point about British national debt and their navy strength, which would apply perfectly to the modern US. Just how much do you have debt, and how much is all of your military equipment worth? If a country somehow managed to get your debt as usable money, they would be able to buy 2 000 of the heaviest, fully equipped aircraft carriers currently in existence. You have 10 of them. Think about it.

>we even got the osprey right.
What is the total death count on that?

19pbp

We get it Russia, you would rather blow up the entire planet than lose a war.

The EU tried that in Ukraine.

huh? what does that have to do with a straight up invasion? we aren't going to nuke, just walk straight to Moscow, or w/e the capital is and arrest the main guy "puten"

I'd do it too.

Pretty much.
We're Frieza, except our blow-up will end it for sure.
Pfft, good luck with that, then.

It will be like a walk in the park, no?

Maтopи, Чecи cy зa нac чиcтoкpвни Cлoвeни...

since 2002 it has the lowest class A mishap rating of all rotorcraft.

Prior to that, 11 died in design flaws, 19 died due a pilot fucking up.

Judging a war machine on the paintjob, type of fuel or how much chrome is put on it may not be the keenest way.

If I remember correctly this was a chinese test of an anti-ship missile that costs less than a million bucks US, take into consideration that a carrier can cost several billion bucks including all the crap on-board.

Considering these things only cost a fraction of the cost of a carrier or a destroyer and can have the capabilities to avoid all anti-bap measures, smaller ships with more variable tactics are the way to go?

Also same can be said for tanks, spending several million on a single tank is not a good idea when it can get bapped by an infantry carried munition that cost a couple thousand.

Armour and defensive measures less of the way to go when stealth, hit-run speed tactics and smaller more vehicles to form a wall of death can be more cost effective than single over-developed units.

>not understanding the Russian navy
Russian navy has a bunch of shitty honeypot ships floating around followed by fleets of submarines ready to BTFO of anything that attacks

It was in iraq. Just wanked in and yanked that one dude hussan or w/e out his hidey hole.

>The EU tried that in Ukraine.
sure thing, Vladimir

>Iraq is Russia
Ok lad.

The Russian army is largely outdated, cold war era stuff.

But they've got a lot of it, and a lot of nukes.

...

The Brits have actually done really well with their new carriers, all things considered. Countries who are going to be commissioning new gen carriers are going to have to learn a lot from them, the USN certainly could. It's far too expensive for navies to make fuckhuge supercarriers with enormous crew on board now, but the new bong ones are going to have a crazy little amount of crew for similar projection power and an ok capacity of aircraft.

Two QE-class, some Type 45s and Type 26s (if they ever get made) with subs is going to be a bretty gud fleet to project UK interests if things go alright for them in the next decade.

Most US navy equipment is also cold-war era.

Lots of possible reason if it is real.

-Range might be very limited
-Powersource, did the plane have to have additional equipment inside, for all anyone knows one entire engine was powering it.
-How long can it operate for? Maybe the device contains some chemical reaction that consumes something that must be replaced.
-The device costs more than old jets.

>refugeeswelcome.gif

Bro, that top one is an aircraft carrier. That shit don't run on anything that produces black smoke. They are burning something on the deck. Don't worry about Russians, they have enough of a navy to keep people from fucking with them.

wrong dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2623480/The-Cold-War-really-IS-Russian-aircraft-carrier-group-Soviet-era-ships-escorted-English-Channel-state-art-Royal-Navy-destroyer.html

Russians are scrambling to stay ahead in submarine technology. Russia is very much focused on modernizing its navy. Its the best way to project power.

It has some diesel generators on it.

>submarine fleet
>projecting power

'no'

Subs are to counter projection of power. Russia's projection of power comes from foreign intervention, funding, military training, spec ops and arms exports.

Holy fug it's a diesel fucking carrier?! What the shit?! They need to refit that thing with a nuke reactor or some shit. Still tho, their rocket cruisers can wreck entire carrier groups.

Which one, the dead-hand system or the thousands of missiles that the US promises can't shoot your entire missile fleet down (with some parts of it designed to drop them over your own territory before they get out of the atmosphere). Of course, the US/NATO just doesn't have the numbers of platforms or even ammunition for your entire missile compliment, and there's no way they could possibly sink every sub you have as soon as they thought you were going nuke. Right?

Of course not, since it would require weapons in space. And we all know neither Russia or the US has those. Because honesty.

LOL

Yes. The US at this moment & for the foreseeable future will continue to have the world's strongest & most lethal navy. The sheer firepower is just....

>And we all know neither Russia or the US has those. Because honesty.

HEH

HEHEHEHEH

Why the fuck do we even need a conventional navy any more? Surely ships are largely useless compared to aircraft.

We should get rid of all of our destroyers and funnel all money into maintaining nuclear submarines and building carriers with legit aircraft fleets. No one enjoys playing battleships any more, its a largely pointless exercise

>not screening your carriers
>not protecting them with dedicated AA and ASW ships
>not having small ships that can be easily retrofitted or repurposed
>not having ships that can just launch missiles or helicopters or do any mission that doesn't require a carrier force

You basically described our whole history. Russia shambles around doing nothing and being a joke until someone pokes it too hard.

After said poke all bets are off.

aircraft are submarines greatest enemy

>Russia
>Navy
Take it from me, a country with a garbage navy, it's not really impressive.

And yet, Western military commanders are now bemoaning the "lighter, smarter" shift after the Cold War ended and urging the purchase of more tanks/APCs/etc. and set-piece, force-on-force tools. It's a mix that is called for, man. High-speed hit and run is great, but it doesn't hold out against a determined, coordinated push. Most ATGMs with ammo at the price point you just cited would find themselves pretty hapless against the current armor and active CM tech, too. As for China's 'ship-killer' ultrasonic ballistic missile idea, you underestimated the cost (1) and the fantasy aspect to their idea that it is 'imposssiburrr to shterp'!

I do not want to be the guy with a dune buggy and an RPG at the tip of the spear in a push against a column of modern armor. Go shill for under-armament and 'cost-effective warfare' with the mouth-breathers in UKIP. It's time to unmothball and upgrade, and maybe time for a new tank or two (MBT) from the West.

Alongside the RF rail gun green light and the rocket-assisted, guided artillery (deployed), plus the quiet raugmentation of current air/missile defense with not only higher-altitude theater, but also multiple cheap, shorter-range systems and drone decoys, things are looking pretty good for American carrier groups and battle fleets. Even Chink maximum-count swarms at the moment are likely too feeble to overcome the A/MD for the US. With nautical ranges maxing out at 295 miles and at 3.x million per shot (the cheapest I could find that could be put in range of US fleets and facilities), Chinese ships would be sunk before they could engage (ineffectively). Their jets? LOL.

You're mistaken on price and premise. Once the paltry Chinese combat fleet has been turned into a system of reefs, their air defense disabled, ASM sites rubbled and their ports permanently closed for repairs, they get ringed by BMD and they surrender. I would definitely sink every super trawler as bonus takings.

We don't use any of that shit, when was the last time we (or any) modern navy was engaged in a sea battle?

All we do is conduct air strikes and pay foreign allies to use their air bases.

The whole world is turning to UAV's to project their power, the only other reason I can think of for using ships is transporting troops and aircraft.

We don't use Trident either but it's useful keeping it around. Do you really just assume the next five or so decades will go by without any major conflict with another capable power? I mean, that's optimistic and nice, but you can't just assume it.

Trident is a deterrent, not a form of projecting power.

Aircraft and troops are the modern methods of projecting power, naval ships are obsolete.

Incidentally, if we ever come into conflict with another modern military then the number of battleships we have will be the least of our worries.
