>TOKYO: Japan and India are likely to sign a civil nuclear cooperation pact during a visit to Japan by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in mid-November, the Mainichi newspaper reported on Saturday.
>The governments of Asia’s second-and third-largest economies are leaning toward holding a summit meeting between Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe, the report said, citing unidentified diplomatic sources from both nations.
(...)
>A final deal with Japan would benefit US firms. India has already given land for nuclear plants to GE-Hitachi – which is an alliance between the US and Japanese firms – and to Toshiba’s Westinghouse Electric Company.
>This is important for India to secure advanced nuclear reactors for sites coming up at Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. India has always looked up to the Russians and French for nuclear reactors, but since more advanced designs are available with other players like Japan & US , India felt a need to diversify its options, hence the civil nuclear deals with those respective countries. India is motivated to pursue these deals so vigorously because of mainly two reasons:
1)addressing India's energy needs
2)Getting into the NSG (Nuclear Suppliers Group)
India cannot get into the NSG without support form member countries like US, France & Japan, so its imperative for India to have nuclear deals with these countries. We already have deals with US & France, the one with Japan is in the pipeline.
Importance from Japan perspective:
>This deal is important for Japan, mainly for economical reasons. Its heavy industry companies like Mitsubushi and Hitachi are also in the nuclear energy field, and they are running in loss (Fukushima disaster made a huge dent). These companies desperately need new markets and what better market than the energy starved nation of India. Japan had initially opposed the Indo-US Nuclear deal, as India wasn't a member of NSG but later changed its position after realizing that its going to be the sole looser in the lucrative Indian market. Japan still has concerns related to Indian nuclear weapons program. Still both the countries have reached to an understanding, so a deal won't be that far.

Super Power :
>Push to India's candidature in NSG
>This deal with Japan if inked, will yet again boost the credibility of India and hence strengthen India's case for NSG. If India gets into NSG, then there will be no restrictions on Indians imports of nuclear fuel and also it firmly legitimizes Indian Nuclear Weapons Program, well that means the world formally accepts India as global power, much like US, Russia, China, France and UK. Till now countries like China have been helping Pakistan in the nuclear energy field, although it's a clear violation of NSG rules, whenever pointed out China would point towards Russian and French involvement in Indian nuclear energy field, so this way everything got hushed up. But no more, if India becomes an NSG member then any country having nuclear deals with India won't be violating laws, while any country having nuclear deals with Pakistan will be violating international laws.

>Japan is going to build their nuclear reactors in India so that if they meltdown no one will care if people die >they're also getting quite a pretty penny out of it
Truly the Jews of Asia.

India has a 8.6 trillion gdp. While usa has 18.5 trillion, india has around 1.2 billion people in the country while usa only has 338 million. USA is much richer than India while having less population.

The one that melted down was made by General Electric, though... Japanese modern reactors are top of the line, Kanker-Juden.

Try next year mate. Your time in the limelight in not long in the future.

I disagree, Japan has one of the best track records in technological advancement. Earthquake is a natural disaster which resulted in the nuclear meltdown. No country can control natural disasters.
Nuclear co-operation is just one field, Japan is helping India in other fields such as high speed rail (see Delhi Metro for example), solar power etc. Japan has also heavily invested in car sector of India with one of the top selling brands.
I know, have a bidet which I love.

Also, I fail to understand why you poos would opt for enriched uranium reactors, when India has one of the highest thorium reserves in the world. Inject more money into that and become self-reliant.

India has a critical shortage of fissile material. This is why the nuclear agreement with Japan is very important Under the agreement Japan will ship it's plutonium and/or spent fuel to India which would be used for such purpose.

Idk how much jew involvement this has But do please nuke up very carefully Transition from non-nuke to nuclear country attracts the most black ops and wars Since nowadays, having nukes pretty much ensures your countries' power; most wars now are fought in non-nuke areas

Bro, India already has nuclear weapons since 1974. The nuclear co-operation with Japan is for economic purposes.

Do you have anti-nuke energy blockheads in your land too pajeet?
