Germany's Public healthcare AOK is paid based on salary. I pay the max, which is around 500 Euros a month for my family. My employer pays some too. Every appointment, medicine, etc is almost always taken care of. I love it.

Meanwhile in the US healthcare for a family ranges in the $1000+ a month. And you still have to pay 10% "within the system" or "20% outside the system" of hospitals apporved by the insuran
