>years of non stop freaking out about muh reddit boogeyman
>finally decide to check it out to see what all the fuss is about
>It's actually not that bad

HAs Cred Forums been scared of reddit for almost 6 fucking years because of what is going to happen now?

>scared

Nah m8 it's just not very good.

Its the userbase

It's too dishonest on Reddit everyone cares what people think of them. This place is better because can tell people to go fuck themselves for being Jews or filthy reds.

Userbase / layout / karma system

i made $3.5k selling a reddit account with 30000 karma points back in 2013 while you'0re still doing it >for free her on 4chinz

but yeah, reddit is bad. kys virgin faggot.

>spending thousands on meaningless digits

Lol who are these people?

Awesome man
$3500
wow

I assure people would pay for those digits right here.

The content is lightyears better than on this site. But the community ciclejerk is what kills it.

>finally decide to check it out to see what all the fuss is about
> made $3.5k selling a reddit account with 30000 karma points back in 2013

good job retard

...

reddit 2010-2011 was 90 percent meme comics they were destroying memes as fast as they could steal them. someone on Cred Forums even got them to use le happy merchant for a few days before people caught

Reddit has 1 thing going for it
>Large userbase

The negatives are
>the worst userbase possible
>karma/voting system
>the worst userbase possible
>all images/files hosted externally, no previews, no forum-like threads
>the worst userbase possible
>shitty tree format of replies
>the worst userbase possible
I would go on, but it would be enumerating the ways the userbase is cancerous beyond measure.

I browse reddit and the memes from here would take 3 months to settle in. They know about JUST and the fucking >memearrow. They will adopt every meme that pops up on Cred Forums until the end of time because they will always be funnier than the homegrown shit on reddit itself.

Most people who say "le reddit boogeyman" are people who have never been on reddit. Those who say redditors exist on Cred Forums (such as myself) were former Redditors

I have nothing against getting news from reddit. I just don't like the format.

>make ironic observation
>gay robots sperg out because you didn't add /sarc to the end of your post
Its not even sarcasm, its a humorous observation.

It's more along the lines that reddit will literally steal any sort of OC Cred Forums produces and claims it as their own. They did exactly that when Cred Forums birthed the viral memes you see now.

youtube.com/watch?v=DPE9czA8asM

This, the layout is fucking terrible. For all its faults, Cred Forums's layout is GOAT.

>$3.5k selling a reddit account with 30000 karma
Pics or it didn't happen.

30k karma is nothing. You can pay $50 to a chinese kid to repost shit on /r/pics for a month and get this amount of karma easily. If you're lucky you can get in a couple of days of constant shitposting.

$3.5k is a top tier account, multiple reddit achievements, several years old, gilded multiple times, with several 100k worth of link and comment karma.

What's funny is they constantly criticise the faults of Reddit when their opinions aren't shared by everyone else but when people talk about good discussions on Cred Forums, they will always use reductionist arguments like "it's the cancer of the internets!!! don't go on Cred Forums its bad!!! child porn! xD"

this

You're full of shit

This, /r/pics is so fucking easy when it comes to getting karma it's actually embarrassing to watch.

Don't forget about lack of anonymity

AND the worst userbase possible

Are you kidding? I got my account with 87k total karma permanently suspended a month ago on purpose for linking Leslie Jones' pics. I could've sold it?

Redditors are the kind of people that think that just saying memes in real life makes them funny. They laugh when they see a meme and go haha! I get that because i also go on reddit, the front page of the internet! Like they are part of some secret subculture too cool for most people. They have no self control and are often the most cringey beta and autistic cancerous people that you want to shut up within minutes of them talking. Cred Forums is popular and all but at least people from Cred Forums don't outwardly tell the world how funny and cool they are for going to a website and if they do, its because they also go to reddit.

>Haha harambe that is funny now!! I love harambe right guys lol @ me!

>Dank memes rule!!!! So dank!!!! I right?

this

I think it's beause we are anons here, and they are just attention (or upboat) whores.

>Like they are part of some secret subculture too cool for most people.
>Implying that we don't think exactly like that

>i made $3.5k selling a reddit account with 30000 karma points back in 2013

That sounds awful

>complains about no anonymity on reddit
>posts on a board with ID

top kek

Shills

I just said Cred Forums is popular and we still dont pretend how "cool" we are for going here. Beside the "normies reee" shit but we dont say that in real life

>Most people who say "le reddit boogeyman" are people who have never been on reddit. Those who say redditors exist on Cred Forums (such as myself) were former Redditors

I visit Reddit when necessary, but I don't keep an account or communicate there. Now, it's going the way of Facebook. There are no Redditors on Cred Forums, because yotsuba format is a fiery crucible. They are transmuted by meme alchemy into 4channers, or remain stained with the fail of upboating and rep scores and simply become poor-grade shitposters.

plebbit, YOU HAVE TO GO BACK

>This, the layout is fucking terrible. For all its faults, Cred Forums's layout is GOAT.

that's a matter of opinion. if you can remember the first time you came here, nothing made any sense.

the one thing about reddit that is better in my opinion is that threads can branch off, and if you are not interested you can skip a branch, whereas Cred Forums just piles everything in one huge pile.

and before moot found a dev who was actually competent, Cred Forums was worthless without an extension like 4chanX.

I love Cred Forums now, but I don't pretend that it has some kind of terrific UI.

>>Beside the "normies reee" shit but we dont say that in real life

>implying

His ID only exists in a single thread, though.

>Thread specific IDs are the same as complete history of all posts and permanent accounts

of course since you are posting in the most reddit board in existence

reddit is just too complex and messy, kikebook and Cred Forums are easier to use than reddit tbqh senpai, also reddit's system is autistic "your opinion doesn't agree with mine but instead of explaining im going to hit le down vote button that'll show you! xDDDD"

this it's the same shit as kikebook and all that shit

i do that

>friends tell me to check out reddit in 2009
>look at ragecomics
>people in the comments complaining about seeing them on digg

the voting creates echo chambers of cancer

They make fun of free speech by calling it freeze peach or something and then complain when no one takes their bullshit opinions seriously. It's utterly pathetic.

It's always so obvious that someones new to Cred Forums when they start using a tripcode every time theyre on, missing the point entirely of what Cred Forums is about.

who is she

instagram.com/appetizing_pig/

I mean, I came here years ago, so I don't really remember struggling it. But compared to a lot of major websites (Reddit, Tumblr, Twitter), I find Cred Forums's by far the easiest to use.

>she

reddit is okay for specific stuff like:

>/r/Inform7
>/r/android
>/r/swtor

etc.

Reddit is a good resource for some hobby and diy stuff, it's garbage for political and topical discussion. I don't post there, don't even have an account, I just lurk.

Retard

I go on reddit to learn about a topic, but I come to Cred Forums for entertainment

You're a loser.

The problem is the user base and karma (aka muh internet points) system.

I also went to check reddit myself for lack of specific threads (Pokemon go general died and goes slow af now, no white nigger country general either) and it was pretty OK I guess until I got banned from the Argentina reddit for calling a guy a beta. The guy had like a typical reddit post yknow the one where it says "why do girls all like my friend and not me he's a jerk and goes to the gym all day while I study law" and I called him out on being a beta and got a 3 day ban for being toxic, then talked to a mod, he wouldn't tell me why that was toxic and gave me a permaban.
Also the music sub is the worst
>people get mad if you admit you download mp3s without buying the album
Like what the fuck???

Either way, the karma system is a way of censorship. If you get a few downvotes, your comment gets pushed to the very bottom, after a few dozen your comment gets hidden and after a few hundred your comment gets deleted. If you have a net worth of less than 50 karma during your reddit life (e.g. make a good goy post and get 100 upboats and then make a shitpost and get 60 downvotes) your commenting is limited to once every 8 minutes or something like that.
Also anonimity is a huge loss, if you shitpost ONCE, and then make a serious comment on another sub or thread, someone WILL 100% go through ALL your comment history just to find that one shitpost where you contradict yourself, and post it to the quit your bullshit sub for more internet points. Made a shitpost about a pajeet once, saying poo in look, and then another in politics telling a guy that not every trump supported is nesecarily racist, just conservative, and some guy found my pajeet comment from like 6 months ago and "exposed" me.

This.

Reddit political ""discussion"" is far and wide the worst cancer I've ever seen.

Implying we don't have proxys

Also forgot to add
>Shills and kiddy mods

Sometimes mods of small to medium subs will go full autism, throw a public shitfit, unmod everyone, and set the whole sub to private so no one can join. Reddit Admins can't do shit about this when it happens idk why.

Also, if a sub owner is inactive for like 6 months I think, basically ANYONE can become the owner of the sub, so what usually happens with conservative sub's is that it will get taken over sjws and feminists because their "leader" saw that the owner was gone for a few months and shuts the whole thing down, sets to private and kicks everyone.

And then shills as mods.(comment shills are obvious, someone exposed one posing as someone wanting to pay a user to shill)
Recently the crack status sub got set to private and everyone kicked because mirrors edge catalyst, and this the previously uncrackable denuvo got cracked fully and ea paid the mod to shut it down like a good goy.

Reddit is a complete circle jerk of losers, good luck forming an opinion that doesn't march in lockstep with whatever the left harps on the news.
On a side note, smaller subreddits that haven't been infected by wanna-be witty replies that think they're clever with 50 witty response chains that are upboated due to OCD turrets by the army of retards plaguing reddit are sometimes ok.

I can guarantee that 90% of real 4channers would force remove all redditors if they could. That includes crossposters like OP. If you think Cred Forums is bad, just go to a place where getting more good boy points is law, and the only way to get good boy points is by joining the hivemind

>she

What the fuck that last part is atrocious.

Who are these people? How can they have no humor/bants like that? Why are they spending their time going through people's posts like that?

He can probably buy food for 2yrs with that money to feed his family in his country asshole!

This.

Told you, if you "expose" someone you get massive internet points!!1!1!

Its basically who can be the biggest snitch competition because "exposing" is the best way to get uppointz

But what's the point of exposing a random shitposter of the internet?

It's not just the userbase, the entire website is made to be an echo chamber for people who can't deal with different opinions. For all they say about Cred Forums being an echo chamber if you post something that goes against the general idea here you'll get a bunch of replies but your post will have the same visibility as everyone else's

Every once in a while Cred Forums gets mentioned by random people I know, I always put on this crazed look and just say is it that hacker group, didn't they all get busted though, I don't understand.

>I always put on this crazed look and just say is it that hacker group
lmfao

You get imaginary points from your peers, and the person who presented the argument, usually an oposing one from yours, has his comment become null and void in the eyes of the readers because he contradicted himself 6 months ago

Yeah, it's generally better for finding useful infos on some shit instead of memes and shitposting, compare r/science to /sci/ for instance.

The thing is that it's full of painfully unfunny big bang theory loving retards, assfaggots and cucks. As long as the subject isn't political or cultural it's fine.

Yeah, I used to do this too, when I was a teenager and I was posting on forums.

The reason you do it, is because it feels really good exposing someone as a hypocrite. Basically the same reason we make collages like pic related, only on a much pettier scale.

That said, I realized it's a pretty cunty thing to do a long time ago and it's one of the reasons I prefer this place to leddit and forums. If I make a serious, researched post about a topic, I don't want some child to be able to look over my post history and go "lol who cares what you think weeb"

Or historical (rayciss history)
Or geographical (the us is rayciss, Germany should let more immigrants in fuck white supremacy)
Or recent news (the armed Google was shot because he was black it had nothing to do with his being armed, Germany should let more refugees in, not all Muslims kill!! (((But this one does)))
>or scientific (what do you mean psychology shows that niggers are genetically more stupid?? That's raycisss!!!! What? This study done by 50 tops scientists in the world contradicts something I believed before this?? Its fake!

Yes, that is what I mean by political, they have cancerous opinions

>is that the pedophile bulletin board with the meemays and the lesions that blow up vans?

The great reddit boogeyman destroyed this place

You don't notice it now because the nuts have taken over the nut house

As evidenced by the le Upvote (you) fishing and degredatiom of even the most base of discussion

Trump general would have been purged out of principle years ago

(((You))) think so, huh?
That's nice, dear.

same reason somethingawful used to shit on fark: blinkered tribalism

Sure thing shill

Enjoy nu reddit before it's sold

>It's not just the userbase, the entire website is made to be an echo chamber for people who can't deal with different opinions.

Where do you think you are?

This isn't Cred Forums related.

I explained the differences in the part of the post you didn't quote

>being proud of knowing about this shithole

You have to go back

>if you remember the first time you came here, nothing made sense.

It took me a week to find out that noko existed.
