They are also extreemly poor at keaping heat in, because when architect Lagutenco finished the designs for these buildings, two things were not put into account: heatloss and transportation of prefabricated panels from factory to designated location. There is also the third point about crushing sould, free thought and desire to live, but that was already stated before.
The reasons for this are typicall communist inadequacy. The transportation costs were ignored because all transportation was owned by the state but the ministry that was responsible for it was mostly unacauntable. Same shit with heatloss, since workers in a communist utopia were expected to mine buttloads of fues with pure enthusiasm as a motivator, not a paycheck.
