Reagan was president.. things were much more redpilled than today, but that is not saying much really. Women were just starting to enter the workforce in greater numbers and they wore those giant fucking shoulder pads in their clothes to show they were as tough as men. But they were nowhere near as vigilant, aggressive, and slutty as they are today. 80s were a good time. I do feel bad for millenials and gen-Z.. it's not your fault. If you weren't taught discipline when you were a kid, it's harder to teach yourself when you are older but it can be done.
Looking at different kids today, it looks like the parents who limit their kids internet usage are a lot sharper and some of them are also more athletic.

This is gonna sound old school, but my advice is to time your internet usage. you decide ahead of time that you won't spend more than X amount of time a day on a phone or computer, and you stick to it. And you take that extra free time you get and put that time into developing a skill, exercising, creating, whatever, something productive. and you do it every single day for an hour or two for weeks, and then its easy as it has become a habit.

If you are trying to be productive, but still have problems focusing, take some B-vitamins and some choline.

actually the biggest difference I see between when I grew up inthe 80s vs today (I have kids of my own now) is in parenting.
In the 80s, we got a whole lot more independence at a young age. I could cruise around my neighborhood all day on a Saturday starting at age 6. We had some light activities like sports that we were carted around to, but nothing like the activities todays kids must endure. every minute of their day is scheduled and parents do everything for their kids.
I try to raise my kids differently, more like when I was a kid. But there is so much child predator fear today, its not totally doable.
