CW never cancels. Arrow just got renewed for a seventh season, and it never was as good as Supernatural.

To anybody asking if they should jump back into the show, here's a little something. Ask me fore more info if you're interested. I'm prepared to fite if you disagree with what I wrote.

...

>Asmodeus
>alternate Michael
>Lucifer
>Ketch
>alternate spic chick
>Jack

This season will end in a clusterfuck, I'll tell you what.

>This season will end in a clusterfuck
Alt Kaia is most likely relegated as the Big Bad of the spinoff if it gets picked up. Also, she looks more arabic than spic

and you're forgetting the cosmic entity, the shedim and unbound rowena

i was gonna let this thread die but we have threads about twitter and politics and a Supernatural thread that's ongoing deserves to have a thread more than those irrelevant shit

youre right but i can fuckin read it

Man, I wanna pound Rowena's ass so fucking much.

Dropped after season 10 because the lore got too stupid and i heard they made chuck a faggot and havent been back.
I have some questions though. Is the trickster back? What about sam and deans half brother the vessel of michael?

which parts are shit? maybe i can redo it today

same

>the lore got too stupid
define "too stupid"
> i heard they made chuck a faggot and havent been back
chuck returns and does a lot of shit for a number of episodes
>Is the trickster back?
for season 13, yes
>What about sam and deans half brother the vessel of michael?
still rotting in hell

Thank god they brought her back, she's easily one of my favorite characters desu.

I changed the font of Gamble's and Dabb's eras a bit. Is this better?

Lead characters are all white males

naw the actual Arrow show was canceled in the 3rd season, it was just replaced by a show with the same name but now it's all about some blonde hacker chick

All I know of this show is the CARRY ON MY WAYWARD SON threads of yesteryear.

but isn't it all about diversity and representation these days?

Stop fucking around and just make it something legible already. Hell comic sans is easier on the eyes than this shit.

it's the font of the damn series

No shit, thank you captain obvious, it's still fucking crap when you want to read actual text, not just a fucking title.

maybe next time

>ded thread

Just like the show and fanbase, ironic.

name one show in its 13th season that is still getting good ratings for its network, getting more popular globaly, and, potentially about to be renewed for 14th and a spinoff

Sam losing his soul, the mark of cain, etc.
Just dragonball tier quests

>Sam losing his soul, the mark of cain
>Just dragonball tier quests

well I guess you're not ready for season 11 then kek

>if something is popular, it must be good
I bet you also loved Twilight, and listen right now to Justin Bieber.

>I bet you also loved Twilight
hate it
>listen right now to Justin Bieber
nope

nice strawman, though

you really think someone watching a show full of 80s rock would pick Beiber as one of their top artists? you're fucking retarded

...

I'm watching Supernatural on the regular and listen to uplifting trance. Your argument is irrelevant.

Did Dean and that one vampire from purgatory have a gay relationship? They had some gay vibes going on.

It jumped the shark when they killed Death out of nowhere despite him supposedly being a God-tier entity.

>They had some gay vibes
Who doesn't in this show anymore?

He's back. You can't kill death.

>and listen to uplifting trance. Your argument is irrelevant
I never said you can't listen to other genres. I merely said it's unlikely Beiber would be TOP choice

>Gamble era
mytharc has direction

This is a BAD CHART every body, a BAD CHART is what this is

Supernatural has no waif---

t. Carver

Gamble's era focused on the power vacuum of the apocalypse, souls and Purgatory. We got the hierarchy of monsters the same way we had the demonic and angelic hierachy that Kripke set up

S8-9 had no idea what it wanted to do and rehashed the civil wars that S6 started, including an angel that procalimed itself as the new God

youtube.com/watch?v=0oHtLmjKRbE&feature=youtu.be&t=106

>Sam dies
>Dean revives him by selling his soul
>is brought back next season with no repurcussions

Dropped. Garbage fanfic tier writing.

>brought back next season with no repurcussions
bruh 80% of apocalyptic scenarios are because the brothers can't let each other go, wtf do you mean no repercussions?

Castiel died 3 times, Lucifer two. I don't give a shit by what means they come back, they shouldn't. 13 seasons and they suddenly pull an archangel blade out of their ass. Nowhere in the past did Gabriel at any time use a fucking blade that's different from any other angel blade, but now they need to invent one to make Lucifer impervious to anything else.

Death in Supernatural devolved into a jump scare. It freaks you out for a second, but it passes and soon all is well.

>Lucifer two
Lucifer never died. You're right about Castiel

>they suddenly pull an archangel blade out of their ass. Nowhere in the past did Gabriel at any time use a fucking blade that's different from any other angel blade
Gabriel's blade was called an archangel blade as early as S5 Hammer of the Gods

at least come up with valid criticisms

>Lucifer never died.
That's exactly what I'm fucking talking about, the jump scare level deaths. Castiel fucking stabbed him in the chest while he was on E, next episode he is alive and well, because "muh arch angel blade".

>Gabriel's blade was called an archangel blade as early as S5 Hammer of the Gods
I only remember Michael having one, you know, the dude rotting in hell in the step winchester meat suit. Gabriel's didn't look any different from a normal angel blade. Did you look at the blade in the most recent episode? Totally different design.

Remember when you thought they were going to hunt dinosaurs in an alternate universe but then they only stayed there for 1 episode and there wasn't even a dinosaur?

Yea, that was a bummer.

REEEEEEEEEEE

I just caught up on season 13, a few thoughts.
>Unbound Rowena episode was literally season 8/9 garbage tier. Unnecessary brothers drama, randomly handicapping the protagonists, the worst villains we've seen in forever and a joke of a monster thrown in at the end. I'm excited at the prospect of Rowena getting the powerup, but holy shit I'd rather forget how we got there.

>Donna's nephew episode was awesome. I thought that all the Sioux Falls crowd would disappear after Wayward Sisters, glad I was wrong. Nice twists and turns in a tightly written episode with an awesome ending that nicely sets up Donna relocating to Sioux falls with Jody's Scooby Gang.

Overall I love the amount of moving parts this season. We're still not sure what the big bad scenario is and I'm enjoying the shifting allegiances of a big cast of relevant characters.

>I only remember Michael having one
that was the Lance of Michael. In Hammer of the Gods, Kali draws Gabriel's blade out (fake one but still) and calls it an archangel blade. Gabriel later tells Dean the real one could kill him (Gabe).

What we don't know if the new blade is a stylistic difference, or from the Alt Universe, or whether prime-Gabriel had two fake blades.

dinos would be campy fun, but monsters made more sense

I expected dino-sized demons tbqh

I bow to your superior lore-fu.

How many mystical knives have appeared in the series so far?

I welcome unbound rowena but we share the same overall sentiment this season. lots of key players and the factions all have their aces

Alt Kaia a qt

Do alternate universes have alternate gods? It would be silly to assume one god created alternate Lucifers and shit.

>Lance of Michael
>First Blade
>Archangel blade

and countless angel blades

demon killing knife of the kurds
the zana killing knife
any knife from Oz kills fairies

...

...

Does Skinner (the guy that played sam and dean's grandfather) ever come back after season 6? I love the actor and there is a lot of potential to use him.

no

Goddamn it. Why can't they keep any supporting characters? The X-files had them, Buffy had them, why not supernatural?

Because supporting characters only get one life, then it's game over. Samuel died, Bobby died...

Rowena is still here. Castiel is still here. Lucifer is still alive. Jack is being set up as a supporting character

Wish Anna would come back though

So what, just don't kill them off for fuck's sake. After bobby, there's literally no supporting character on the show. They killed off dad, ellen, jo, bobby, the british bitch, rufus and I can't even remember how many others. Who thought it would be a good idea to have a main cast with no support?

tumbr hates waifus ;_;

I'm at s08, I consider cass to be part of the main characters now, plus Crowley as the somewhat antagonist, which I like. Who else?

Supernatural is kino. Watched it with my gf after she had her penis removed

I like your chart user, can I request a spoiled synopsis from whatever season featured God's sister who was in love with Dean to Season 11? I dropped it and I'd like to restart without all the junk.

>Jack is being set up as a supporting character
I really REALLY hope they don't kill/seal/whatever off, even if he's not a regular. Hell, i'll even take him being a support character for the girls' spin-off at this point.

Also please bring alt-Kevin and keep him alive, thank you.

Women will watch anything with magic and attractive men?

refer to my former post:

Rufus and Bobby have episodes in some capacity every now and then

Unfortunately

You're still in the dark seasons of the show. Keep plodding

>94829213
(You)

You mean a spoilered inforgraphic or just for S11?

Was God's sister season 11? I can't remember

Can you refresh my memory with more like this user? So many seasons have passed and I tend to forget crap.
I would like each season and a quick reminder of who was the final boss in it where it's leviathans, or metatron, lilith, lucifer etc. could you do that?

because it's not really a tv show, it's just something for stay at home moms to touch themselves while watching,
you wouldn't expect the kind of porn you watch to have a deep plot.

Yes.

Ill work on it tonight maybe

Ok thanks!
I'll keep an eye on the threads...

Last time I watched this, Dead killed this based gangster. Is he back yet or is he gone forever?

I hope the thread survives kek

nu Death comes and gives us an in canon explanation for the Winchesters' plot armor

Wish Netflix hurries the fuck up and brings it to Australia. I did watch it on the American Netflix but ever since they got tougher on the VPN shit I haven't been able to get back to it. Plus it's a pain in the ass anyway to organise now. And I'm running out of space on my HDD to download shit anymore.

Or another thread... SN threads are regulars on this board, if you do that as an image or a pasta, you can always post later and I can collect too... sounds like a good orientation material to me tbqh
I'm usually passing by...

fuck, this board's taste in women is terrible

Regulars yeah but more often than not it dies out first. And yeah the reason why i did this image to begin with was so i can easily answer questions about people wanting to pick the show up again

Final Bosses:
Season 1: Meg 1.0
Season 2: Azazel
Season 3: Lilith
Season 4: Ruby 2.0
Season 5: Lucifer
Season 6: Eve (mother of all)
Season 7: Leviathans
Season 8: Crowley
Season 9: Metatron
Season 10: Death
Season 11: Amara
Season 12: Lucifer
Season 13: Probably Lucifer

Tons of recurring evil factions and minor villains thrown in there.

It's awful and the CW doesn't really have anything else to replace it.

Lots of questionabke things here

>Season 1: Meg 1.0
I like to think the truck as the final boss here desu.

>Season 6: Eve (mother of all)
Wasn't this solved around mid-season and Crowley/Cas opening the portal the finale? So i'd put Cas/Crowley here imo.

Yeah there are some errors. Been a while since I watched 6-10 and I probably wasn't paying great attention when I did watch them.

Was trying to give the user who asked for it a baseline.

Is season 9 even worth watching or can I just skip to 10? Heard it's better.

>Michael is black now
>They killed death (wtf?)
>All female show gets green lit because muh progression

Dropped after season 5.

Just watch it all. Season 10 deals with a bunch of plotlines from 9. 9 is where the show bottoms out, 10 is the start of a resurgence in quality but it's still not good. 11-13 have been near 1-5 quality.

Guys you're mistaking the dragon/muscle as the big bads

>Michael is black now
Alternate reality Michael, where the brothers where never born. Also we've seen black archangels before (Raph).

>They killed death (wtf?)
He did say that even he would die someday, at least it was done by his own weapon and not a random deus ex machina.

>All female show gets green lit because muh progression
Better this than having them bog down the main series every other episode. Also Jody and Donna are great desu.

Were never born* fuck me i should stop staying up this late.

You mean she, right?

I don't care that he's black, I care that Michael isn't using young John Winchester's vessel, that shit was great and a good way to fuck with the brothers and their newly resurrected mom. Speaking of, why couldn't God and his sister bring back John, Mary, Jo, Ellen and Bobby and everyone else who died during their bullshit? Why just Mary? Plothole.

Also no, that spinoff is fucking stupid.

the show is sustained purely by the energy of horny tumblr landwhale dykes

No, he's back too.

The boys were never born because Mary never made the deal to revive John.
Michael just got another vessel instead.

How? I thought Billie was my-Death?

Convince me season 7 isn’t fucking terrible, /spn/.

It's complicated, but the writers of this show do whatever the fuck they want. I'm still pissed there's a new Gabriel around.

Well, in that alt-earth the brothers were never born so there's no reason for Michael to even care about them and him not using John as a vessel could be because he died too early there (or more likely can't get the actor).

Iirc it was Amara that brought her back, not both (although it's been a while so i could be wrong). As to why she brought back only his mom, i can't really say. But it didn't bother me that much.

I don't really care about the spinoff either but at least it looks better than fucking bloodlines.

If you hate the spinoff so dont watch it. Be happy they're relegating the characters you dislike to another show

S7 had no Bloodlines so there's that. The leviathans are competent and had the boys on the run and list of allies running thin.

How to Win Friends and Influence Monsters, and Death's Door are kino

Frank Devereaux is based

So are he and Billie both Death? Or is OG Death something else now?

Counter-point : it introduced Charlie.

Billie is probably holding the position for him, OG Death will always be Death.

She disgusts me.

>XD I'm gay! XD :3
>IM SO NERDY LOLOLOLOL
>GAYYY

Fuck off.

At least she died a gruesome death in a shitty motel bathroom. We’ll always have that, user.

She dead

I thought they'd already tried and failed to kill Lucy with it, like with the Colt. Now it has to be wielded by an archangel and is a real threat to him?

Stupid question, but that’s an edit right?

The Colt has a separate killset--5 things in creation it can't kill. Archangel blades are different.

Unfortunately, yes

...

Right
S10 was the one with demon Dean wearing the Mark of Caine and Abbadon trying to take over hell right? Or that was s9?
I recall the Mark not letting Dean die and Metatron beating the shit out of him

Abaddon was 9. Wew let me work on the era-season overview now. Looks like a lot of you guys need it

Honestly, 8-10 are a mess in my head too, barely remember those. As much as i disliked/didn't care about Leviathans at least those were memorable.

>As much as i disliked/didn't care about Leviathans at least those were memorable
exactly my point! people harp about S6-7 being bad but when you ask them their favorite episodes after S5, a lot of them are from S6-7. Conversely, they can barely name good episodes from S8-9. S9 is so fucking forgettable, I have the most trouble with that as well for the tiny details. I completely forgot angels were weakened from the fall when I was watching S11-12 and wondering why Castiel couldn't teleport.

Cain and Abaddon were the few good things to come out of S9

The only thing I remember about the fall was angels losing their wings and the civil war.

8
>Dean escapes Purgatory, Sam undergoes trials in order to shut hell off forever
9
>Angels fall from Heaven after Dean doesn't let Sam die. Sam shares his body with an angel. Metatron does a power-grab and tries to become new God. Dean takes Mark of Cain to kill Abaddon
Season 10
>Dean resurrects as demon, gets purified by Sam, the boys jump through a billion hoops trying to get the Mark of Cain off of him.

Whole thing was a fucking mess. I loved the Benny sub-plot though, and Crowley was pretty great when he was drinking blood.

>Angels fall from Heaven after Dean doesn't let Sam die

These aren't consequential. Merely tangential. That's the issue with S8-10, a lot of arcs are disjoint. Just like you said, they are a mess

Benny had the potential to be good but it starts in a way we don't know about it and we're supposed to take it as real and good just like Sam did with the Campbells in S6

>Benny
Oh yeah. I also remember Dean looking at food kinda weird/being disgusted by it after he got out of purgatory, so i kinda expected a storyline about him having to eat monsters or something over there.

Why would the angels get Lucifer rule them? Why would Lucifer say hail the king bitches when the episode ended?

angels are retarded and are tiresome. more news at 11

no really, they should have been more interested about alt-Michael if they really wanted a powerful being to give them back their wings.

how did we go from this

Having this much of a thread for this shitty show, no wonder I only visit Cred Forums once every 3 months. What a fucking shit board.

This show is literally an erotic novel for virgin women.

have you ever watched it?

my money's on no. just ignore the fag. i bet he'd rather 5 threads of twitter and Cred Forums shit

I thought the same as that guy before I watched the show tb h (didn't shitpost though). I think many people assume the same because sam and dean might as well be male models, including their facial expressions in the posters.

He's not necessarily wrong. The show has a large, mostly female, sometimes mega-autistic female fanbase. And it did pander to them pretty hard at some points.

But it also had a genuinely great initial run, has built up a fantastic world, and is prime comfy material.

At this point, any thread on Cred Forums which doesn't picture a twitter screencap in the OP is a good thread.

I'm not saying he was wrong in that this aspect of the show exists, even the creators themselves made fun of it in the prophet episodes. What I'm saying is that especially its initial run (1-5) the show was about the bond of brotherhood above all. That's not something that any female fan can relate to beyond superficial understanding. I get that most fans are females, but that's more of a side effect than the intended function of the show (or at least the first seasons) I think.

Point is favor:
>Top tier comfy
>Monster hunting
>Bros, beers and rock
>The road keeps going

Things I hate
>tumblr gay shipping
>homoerotic notes to appeal to that tumblr audience
>waifu killing, also because tumblr

Come to think of it, tumblr is to blame for all the bad in this show.
Why can't landwhales understand the characters are straight?

dudes! holy shit man this show is so old it was on the air back when the CW used to still be called the WB
i dont even watch this show ever but ive seen some episodes and it seems like a comfy af show
the only reason i dont watch it is because its intimidating how many episodes there are

this was also me before i gave it a try. and another user here used to bash it as twilight-tier. now he helps me spread the word against misconceptions

Pretty glad they're bringing Gabriel back desu, although when Asmodeus said he had an archangel locked up I thought he meant main universe Michael

In their minds, but not in reality. I won't watch anything that erases my beautiful white men.

How are they going to explain his return? God himself thought Gabriel was dead

>I thought he meant main universe Michael
same. it seemed the most logical but hey, still a nice surprise. hope they don't fuck it up though

It's had to believe i've been watching this for like 11 years

What do you guys think of the spinoff. I actually like it. For a Backdoor pilot it set the stage well and was still a okay Supernatural eposide. And I like the overall cast well enough, thought was a tad confused trying to remember everybody intially. And I like the theme song by Halestorm.

I'll give it a try, what we saw so far wasn't that bad. Wonder if they'll add any males in the core cast of it though.

It was alright. I'll check the show. It's nice that the new monsters aren't just humans with weird eyes.
There's also the fact that Claire was super qt in it.

It was intriguing enough. Alt-Kaia as a big bad was cool, the monsters were pretty interesting. Claire and Kaia are eye candies. Jody is a nice character. Donna was better after Breakdown and her issue with Doug, unfortunately. I'll give it a try. Anything for more Supernatural lore.

working on the era synpses btw so here's a bump

vamp bloodbag girl was way skinnier when they first saved her, right?

I like Jody and Donna individually, I just don't know if they can sustain a show. They lack the whole pathos of Sam and Dean, the long-suffering cursed fatalistic arc of their lives.

yes

im drawing a blank with carver's era in terms of themes and synopsis fuck

Because they have the best catering. Green Machine.

There will be some tentacle porn stuff this season, some sacrifice done in the 20's. Episode should be out in March.

>when you turn the series into such shitty fanfiction that you can't even summarize it
Fucking Carver desu.

SHE JUST WONT FUCKING DIE
and i love it. and i love her. shes so badass

i did it, it's finally done

Nice work, user.

checked. i fucked up though. i should have added "identity" to the main themes of Dabb's era

it was just a prank bro!

is everybody asleep?

well im sleepy, i finished my task with the synopses, and the buffy thread got archived

goodnight, lads. see you on the next one

hello tumblr ;)

Welcome to Cred Forums. Enjoy your stay. I honestly visit this board less often with each passing day. It never had any merits when it comes to discussion but at least it was a decent place to laugh at shiposts. Now it's nothing but hatred, loathing and racial tension. Really gets tiresome.

The spinoff the world is not ready for... yet.

checked. it would be interesting but the only way they would get a spin off is if they successfully defeat the winchesters, otherwise it will be them in their spin off running away from the brothers

>Speaking of, why couldn't God and his sister bring back John, Mary, Jo, Ellen and Bobby and everyone else who died during their bullshit? Why just Mary? Plothole.

Why God couldn't just gank lucifer at the season 5? Because he is a faggot who doesn't give a fuck, that's why.

>Counter-point : it introduced Charlie.

Counter-counter point, it didn't REINTRODUCE Charlie. Her first appearance, with her being an accidental collateral when Bobby got nuts, was pretty tolerable.

we shall cleanse this thread by posting actual redhead kino waifus

...

They toned her down from first appearance.
Her screaming was one of the most frightening thing in her introduction episode. Seemed like an actual berserk in woman form with constant PMS and infantile behaviour who can't be killed.

Scariest waifu in history.

Also, every time one posts Anna I remember how she got ganked because tumblr wanted their sweet Destiel faggotry. I'm still salty about her death

>They toned her down from first appearance
because they realized it would not be believable that a demon with memory reading, terrakinesis, telekinesis, immunity to the knight and exorcism could be killed easily by the boys and Crowley

so they had to come up with mark of cain and first blade bullshit and have her use telekinesis on dean, like any demon and their grandmas would, and then keep on trying while standing there waiting to be skewered

>immunity to the knight
knife*

>I'm still salty about her death
same, i wish they would write her back

and to complete the trinity of redheadfus

...

Why did the boys never use a demon trap bullet again? Seems so easy to make yet they've only used it on Abbadon

>Why did the boys never use a demon trap bullet again?
it's become a staple to them along with silver bullets, salt rounds and witch-killing bullets

Rowena is so annoying though.
Like Charlie, only with more of a grandma vibe.

I am sure that's what Felicia Day will grow up into.

>Rowena is so annoying though.
>Like Charlie
D E L E T E
T H I S
N O W

Why did they never make bullets out of angel blades? They even have those in the alternate universe

She does things to me.

Awful, sinful things

only Crowley made those in the prime universe. Given he had everybody who worked on Lucifer's vessel to act like the cage killed, he most likely had the demon innovators who worked on the angel blade bullets killed as well.

I don't understand why people are saying the new seasons are as good as the first few seasons. They really aren't. I know because I'm watching them side by side. I'm watching through the first few seasons again with my parents who have never watched it before, and i'm keeping up to date with the new one. Outside of episode 4 of season 11, nothing is really making me like the new stuff. The new stuff just tries too fucking hard to be self-aware. But also there's just not any good fucking character outside of Azy, and Azy just isn't as good as good ol'yellow eyes. Yellow eyes was mysterious and showed powers that were previous unheard of. Fuck, he couldn't die. I remember when that was super fucking awesome the concept of a creature that wouldn't die except for when this fucking one of a kind gun with just a few bullet left in the whole world.

Now we've met god and it feels like Sam and Dean have lived through several world ending scenarios including Lucifer himself and God's sister. And combat feels flaccid and boring and unrealistic compared to how it used to be. At least the story is structured well but still most enemies are just people pretending to be strong though. I miss monsters. I miss when reapers looked old and super creepy. But then the show retconned that shit. Now everything is people.

like what, user?

>Outside of episode 4 of season 11, nothing is really making me like the new stuff.
you're dead inside user, just stop watching
>The new stuff just tries too fucking hard to be self-aware
you mean when they try to tie things back to the earlier seasons? that strengthens the overall narrative user
>there's just not any good fucking character outside of Azy
Azazel fanboys are the fucking worst. He's not even the best antagonist in all of Kripke's era
>and Azy just isn't as good as good ol'yellow eyes
???
>Yellow eyes was mysterious and showed powers that were previous unheard of
unheard of because he was the fucking first demon we fucking see
>Fuck, he couldn't die. I remember when that was super fucking awesome the concept of a creature that wouldn't die except for when this fucking one of a kind gun with just a few bullet left in the whole world.
wow you sound seriously stuck in S2

>And combat feels flaccid and boring and unrealistic compared to how it used to be
don't kid yourself we barely had actual brawls even in the early golden seasons. It's always one of the brothers nearly dying and the other attacking the monster from behind. this isn't like buffy where they actually have well-choreographed fights for the important episodes
>most enemies are just people pretending to be strong though. I miss monsters.
you're complaining about this when we had actual banshees, those monsters from the Bad Place, true forms of hell hounds, khan worms, and significantly better CGI?

Oh goodness me

come on, user. tell us what she makes you do

Daneel and Satan erotic scene got me hard. Also Rowena is best.

Based Rowena.

youtube.com/watch?v=Aloz4cBgFPc

Fine!

She makes me all hot and bothered, she's just so dang sexual in everything she says or does.

>She makes me all hot and bothered

>That panting

>don't kid yourself we barely had actual brawls even in the early golden seasons.
Exactly. There were no pointless brawls. I don't give a shit about choreographed fight scenes. They're completely pointless in a show like Supernatural except to artificially pad out length. So they end up being really boring. Supernatural is at it's best when it's more like an X-files episode.
>Azazel fanboys are the fucking worst. He's not even the best antagonist in all of Kripke's era
Dude, he was fucking fantastic. And by the way the other demon I'm talking about is Asmodeus.
>you're complaining about this when we had actual banshees, those monsters from the Bad Place, true forms of hell hounds, khan worms, and significantly better CGI?
CGI is shit in Supernatural. The banshees are kind of interesting but they look so fucking terrible in CGI it's laughable. I never cared about what Hell hounds looked like. Bad Place was tied to a really shit episode with terrible writing, and so were the Khan worms. Practical effects are key to a good monster, and creativity. As well as a good story to go along with them. The first episode we saw a shape shifter was so fucking awesome. But when we see shape shifters again in later season they're just so fucking lame. It's not about the monster. It's about presentation. And the current season lacks presentation style to make any monster "cool".

i used to hate Rowena. Good thing I found the light.

Rowena is a shitty and annoying character. Why do people like her?

She's hot and powerful.

She's annoying and should be dead but keeps being brought back through the power of bullshit writing.

>Supernatural is at it's best when it's more like an X-files episode.
yes and no. X Files is great but Supernatural is still its own show
>Dude, he was fucking fantastic.
yeah but his fanboys always overrate the hell out of him
>the other demon I'm talking about is Asmodeus
you mean the "runt of the litter"/"weakest" of the princes and yet somehow is actually competent enough, resourceful and managed to bag two consecutive archangels?
>Practical effects are key to a good monster,
i like how you proceeded to claim CGI is shit but when it came down to discussing monsters with actual practical effects like in the Bad Place, you shifted your criticisms towards something else instead
>and so were the Khan worms
But didn't you like X Files inspired episodes user? This was practically XF S1's Ice
>The first episode we saw a shape shifter was so fucking awesome. But when we see shape shifters again in later season they're just so fucking lame. It's not about the monster. It's about presentation. And the current season lacks presentation style to make any monster "cool".
our latest shifter pulled out his skin in true old S1 fashion

go to bed, fergus!

>yes and no. X Files is great but Supernatural is still its own show
Okay, but what I'm saying is that it was at it's best when it was LIKE an X-files episode. And that still remains true.
>you mean the "runt of the litter"/"weakest" of the princes and yet somehow is actually competent enough, resourceful and managed to bag two consecutive archangels?
Yes, because it's being hinted at that he's got something hidden up his sleeve. He's being built up as this plotting mastermind whose motives and reasons for his new powers is unkown. He's got a bit of mystery too him, which is exciting for once. Every other villain after Yellow Eyes has been straight forward and shallow.
>i like how you proceeded to claim CGI is shit but when it came down to discussing monsters with actual practical effects like in the Bad Place, you shifted your criticisms towards something else instead
That's because Supernatural's CGI is still shit. And even if the CGI isn't shit the story introducing a monster still has to be good too or else it will be shit again. Banshees not only look awful but the story around it was pretty bad too. It was interesting have a deaf actress actually play the role of a deaf person, but good god she just couldn't act.
>But didn't you like X Files inspired episodes user? This was practically XF S1's Ice
Honestly, I didn't much like that one episode from the X-files. Felt too much it was ripping off John Carpenter's The Thing.
>our latest shifter pulled out his skin in true old S1 fashion
He did it quick and painlessly and it was pretty clean too. The first shapeshifter seemed to describe it as a pretty lengthy process that was also fucking painful and difficult to do. Also, it seemed to insuate that there was some kind of psychic connection between a shape shifter and the person it immitates that is never explored again. But more than that, that very episode said the shifter broke into somebody's home to steal clothing. That gets retconned later.

fucking supernatural bro, cant win against it

I swear to god. Supernatural better not retcon Crowley back to life. He was cool at first but got super fucking annoying when he outlived his relevance. Just stay dead. I wish to god that Rowena stayed dead but here we are anyway.

kek I remember dropping this after the 4th season or so. Tried to watch it some years ago and it was a convoluted mess with angels as regular characters and whatnot. Did they ever finish that whole thing with the demon that killed their parents and whatever that was that Sam had?

Yeah, that was all to break the seals keeping lucifer locked in hell. Once Sam killed Lilith the last seal was broken and the yellow eyed demon accomplished his goal
