Classic Paul Dano. He's a classic.

...

He's a Classic man.

>Dano allegedly spent over a year in preparation for the role of Tibeats, journeying to Mauritania, the nation with the highest incidence of slavery per capita in the modern world, a year before shooting began. Dano has repeatedly refused to discuss what he did in Mauritania, however, BBC journalist Tom Fessy has proposed a link between Dano and the unknown white slave trader known as "La Bete Classique" who appeared suddenly at the head of a new slaver running organization in the area of Nema in the South-East.
>Both Dano and his lawyers have refused to comment, however, Dano was seen making whipping gestures and impersonating an individual with no hands outside of a tribunal on Modern Slavery at the International Court of Justice.

>Despite the crippling Louisiana heat, Dano would continually insist on additional takes, justifying the punishment on his co-star's and the extras, Dano would scream "these darkies was built for heat" according to producer Jeremy Kleiner. Director Steve McQueen and DoP Sean Bobbitt encouraged the extended shooting, noting that Dano's performances were "perfectly accurate" once he had been lashing extras in the field for over 17 hours. In a 2015 lawsuit, actor Andre Robinson alleged that McQueen had breached labour laws out of fear of Dano's ability to enter any property undetected, a skill he had acquired on the set of Cowboys and Aliens.
>None of the 416 hours of footage was used in the final cut of the film.

Thanks for letting us know, Paul.

12 years a slave wasn't supposed to be a movie about race but on the first day of shooting Dano started calling the black actors a bunch of shiftless niggers and that they should refer to him as 'master' so the director decided to run with it.

>Paul Dano reportedly stayed in character during the filming of 12 Years a Slave. This led to a number of awkward interactions with the predominantly black cast and the film's director, who is also black. According to lead actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Dano took to calling the black actors "minstrel niggers" and would feign a stereotypical slave accent when conversing with director Steve McQueen, calling him "massa" and "boss nigger".

>UNICEF reports from the area indicated a massive 600% rise in the numbers of children in forced captivity in eastern Mauritania between Febuary 2011 and March 2012
>Those abducted were forced to chant "Classic, Classic" upon pain of death as they worked
>A massive statue of a white man smiling and looking down to the left now rests upon an island on lake Mamoudha, a grim reminder of the months of terror that "la bête Classique" brought to this remote west African territory

I know this is silly but I'd like to believe the info here but I'm not sure what meme or not

>Paolo Sorrentino's "Youth" was initially about the Friendship between Harvey Keitel and Michael Caine's aging artists, however, the unannounced arrival of Paul Dano during the shooting threw a spanner into the works.
>after entering a number of scenes unannounced, and adlibbing dialogue that was described by screenwriter Robert Rodat as comparable to shakespeare[3] , Dano became "visibly aroused" upon noticing Rachael Weisz was on set for her role as Caine's Daughter, and rushed off set muttering "..I'll give her a fucking her whole kike bloodline will feel" searching for makeup artist Matteo Silvi
>Sorrentino, an experienced auteur kept the camera's rolling, and was rewarded with Dano emerging as Adolf Hitler in full nazi garb, despite the costume never being on set[4]. Although little of the 3 days of footage of Dano accosting Weisz was used in the film, due to a need to conform with German anti-nazism laws (which Dano later declaimed as "another jewish psy-op") what remains paints a vivid picture of an actor at the top of his game.
>In the three years since the film completed shooting, Dano has entered Weisz's house three times in the costume. Weisz was convinced by her husband Daniel Craig to drop a requested restraining order[5].

>Paul Dano wasn't actually originally cast in 12 Years a Slave.
>Rumor has it that at some point during the shoot he randomly wandered onto the Louisiana set and started ordering the black actors around, screaming obscenities at them.
>Steve McQueen, being the having the deft touch and artistic integrity that he does, kept the cameras rolling and was able to capture most of the footage. They even made some adjustments to the original story in order to work the harrowing footage into the film.”
>The offensive limerick "Run Nigger Run" in 12 Years a Slave was originally penned as a short limerick only four lines long. The extended lyrics and decision to sing them while clapping to the beat were improvised on the spot by Paul Dano during shooting, much to the confusion of the crew and his fellow cast members. It is reported that in original cuts of the scene, other cast members can be seen shifting uncomfortably for several minutes as Dano continues to sing and clap his hands. The film's lead actor Chiwetel Ejiofor was so impressed with Dano's performance that he convinced director Steve McQueen to include the full song in the movie and edit the scene accordingly.

>A passion project for director/writers Daniel Schweinert and Daniel Kwan, Swiss Army Man languished in pre-production hell for over three years, due largely to the inability of the indie studio to find a island that was in their budget.
>Paul Dano was brought in as the new leading man in June 2015, and within days an island was found to film on, with the tribal leader leasing the island, Niue off the coast of New Zealand, to the production in perpetuity in a contract obtained by the actor by what he identified as "the only true means of exchange known to man"
>Despite being populated by over 1,500 people, the island was found desolate upon the crew's arrival, with all signs of life seemingly eradicated, and all manmade structures raze to the ground
>Dano illustrated an unusual knowledge of the islands, and reprimanded the crew for digging into the sand to anchor their equipment, telling them "there are things down there no man should witness"
>Dano refused payment for the picture, instead insisting that the film be dedicated to the "Auti water spirits that granted (him) victory"
