I've been waiting for this for a while. Iannucci is guaranteed keno.

>XviD

>HDRip

nice try OP

No trying necessary

Oh shit, I’ve been waiting for this. Saw it in the cinema but wanna watch again.

Worth the download presumably for someone who doesn;t live near an arthouse?

holy fuck I just thought to myself that I was in the mood for a silly comedy and immediately I see this thread. If I enjoyed The Interview will I enjoy this?

Why wasn't this movie buried in a desert for staring Jeff Tambor?

It's dryer and a bit more dramatic than In the Loop/The Thick of It. And The Interview is shit.

ITTOI is the best tv comedy ever (In the Look is basically just an out-of-cannon special).

Wtf is that Peter Quinn?

yes

Jason Isaacs was the GOAT in this

Dumbass

thanks for doing my work for me you faggot

Good movie so far.

>jews play in film about how jews were literally worse than hitler

watched this months ago and it was fantastic

enjoy it anons

>set in stalin's russia
>english accent
>english accent
>american accent
>stalin has an english accent

...

It's a comedy film

Russians are funnier than english people

Russians would never make a movie like this. It's actually banned in Russia. And you're wrong either way.

>all versions listed as 1080p or HD
>they're all compressed as hell and look more like a DVD or screener
People not to stop doing this shit

Sounds like a lot of excuses as to why the movie isn't all that good.

It's alright. A little too dramatic in some instances.

Great movie

Absolutely, my favourite film of last year I think.

The best parts are when they're playing it straight. Any time they ham it up it's an unnecessary disservice to the total insanity of stalin's russia.

there's a 1080p web-dl out and its been out since before the OP's screener, so I don't know why the OP bothered.

THEY DIDNT HAVE FLAT TOPS IN ANCIENT ROME

nearly finished with the movie and I agree. his scene with Kruschev was the best part.

inb4 a bunch of Russian trolls flood every thread about "muh ebil americans who make fun of the great leader"

>it's more authentic if the Russian characters talk English with Russian accents
hmmm

>"muh ebil americans
Iannucci's from fucking Edinburgh.

>Russian trolls

Stop baiting libtard.

>iannucci
>english

la atrocidad inglaterra

The film still uses specific accents for specific charaters to reflect their background. High society people gets posh English, regular Joe's gets American, etc.

I'm guessing Gandolfini would have played Kruschev had he not died.

The guy who plays Beria is really fucking good
I remember him from Penny Dreadful

He calls himself a big nosed jock wop in his own series. Well he says Andrew Lloyd Weber called him that anyway.

>edinburgh
>english

>facts
>getting in the way of Russian bullshit
lol

why is based beria not on the poster????

anti-cųnnybro bias yet again

Main problem for me is Buscemi.
He is good, he just doesnt look the part

>watching the movie even though it was forbidden in russia

why?

Armando Iannucci is a legend, I'm looking forward to this.

italian scots are the most scottish cunts around, now fuck off

So you didn't mind that they didn't actually speak russian? But the accents, oh no!

I'm so glad they did it this way. Couldn't have done it better.

Russian here.

>Russian here.
Who are you gonna vote for?

haha just kiddin

Not him but RIDF and CIDF definitely exist. They mostly go to /k/ to defend the latest vodkanigger military fuckup though.

Gandolfini was was weak link of The Loop imo

I'm in an Eastern European country and the RIDF is super strong in every comment section of the bigger online newspapers. Disgusting as fuck.
I'm not so sure if they actually do this in Cred Forums, maybe it's just Western retards who fell for Putin's propaganda.

>implying butthurt gov. officials is the reason to NOT watch a movie

telegraph.co.uk/films/0/truth-death-stalin-really-happened-night-forever-changed-soviet/

>Iannucci has confessed that, in some cases, he chose to tone down real-life absurdity. The film’s opening scene depicts a bed-ridden Stalin requesting a recording of the opera he is listening to on the radio, unaware that it is being broadcast live. Associates must then force the musicians to perform the opera all over again, only this time on tape. Upon hearing the demand, the conductor faints in terror, sending Stalin’s associates on a mad rush to find a replacement.

>“In reality the conductor they brought in was drunk,” Iannucci told LBC Radio. “Number two? Was drunk. So they had to get a third conductor in. But I kept that out because I thought no one would believe it.”

Nobody cares Wladzczczc

>Eastern Europe is only Poland

cuckold antirussian film

don't joke about that you'll get him killed

man

what a moron

>THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED IM NOT MAKING IT UP PLEASE BELIEVE ME

>working in a regime where people are routinely killed for imagined slights
>we can't have people faint that'd be too unrealistic

... something is really wrong with everything right now...

Give this ruskie his good boy points.

I've been waiting for this since I never got a chance to see it in theaters

Nope. Not going to Gulag over watching this one.

>torrent it
>hear sirens outside window

>Russians would never make a movie like this.

And you're a great expert of Russian entertainment, I presume?

Please refer to imdb.com/title/tt2802154/
And countless others.

Or do you mean russians couldn't do a good comedy flick? That may be true.

>Or do you mean russians couldn't do a good comedy flick? That may be true.

>its banned in Russia
>therefore its bad

whats it like, having the rationale of a child?

Ironicly, that's a soviet film.

But growing up I personally never understood the hype.

are you the tranny he sexually harassed?

Picasso beat his wife, lets bury Guernica in a desert!

none of the actors sound any different than they would in any other films. it has nothing to do with their characters' backgrounds. american actors sound american because they are american.

Is it good? looks promising

It's decent. More dramatic than I thought it was gonna be.

i honestly really wanted to go see this in theaters (I rarely go see movies in theaters, probably only like once or twice a year) and then the faggot playing Zhukov whose name escapes me when on an autistic rant about Trump and I lost all interest

It isn't gutbusting hilarious but if iyou're familiar with the period it is solid gold.

what you only watch films wherein the actors dont conflict with your politics? how old are you?

Jason Isaacs. He's actually the best part of the movie so it's a real shame that he's retarded.

british kino.

that's the point, spastic. it adds to the whole silliness

>.avi.mp4

no i don't faggot, literally all of my favorite music and movies are filled with people that are more politically retarded than basically anyone in their field
the difference being i generally don't commit to seeing movies in the theaters unless i'm really excited about its content. the pastronising bullshit of a lot of Hollywood faggots is a really huge turnoff for me.
but i suppose i'll go see it since it apparently turned out to be kino as i had originally hoped.

How old are you that you interest yourself in the spending habits of other people?

...

If you enjoyed the interview you don't deserve this

Too bad rednecks don't make more good movies for you, retard.

It's alright. I can watch anything with Buscemi

Oh so you dont spend your own money on things that you disagree with, so most likely pirate or steal stuff you still want to hear

bet you complain about socialists wanting free stuff

this bait is so juicy. at least you got me to respond

i just finished the film and i need some good stalin documentaries.

any recommendations?

Operation Barbarossa episode of The Greatest Story Never Told

Everything about Stalin is either speculation (because of Soviet censorship) or propaganda.

bernie lost, get over it

>it's the "all foreigners sound British" trope

It's just the party van.

>Everything about Stalin is either speculation (because of Soviet censorship) or propaganda.
Are you implying what backed up by the (((West))) anti-Stalin researchers were more truthful and unbiased?

Fuck off back to Cred Forums.
I'm talking about the total Soviet censorship (including murders) so that very little is known about Stalin's private or pre-USSR life.

Well, how to put it in...

Just watched it, liked it

I just finished it, it's pretty funny and also kinda depressing when you realize the terror was actually real.

and that what makes this great comedy. When you laugh madly but with a slight of uncomfort, then it is the best kind of laugh. You can't prove me wrong.

this is a chuckle movie at best

>looking up what actually happened
>it's often worse

The situation was absurd enough without adding ham.

>get to see both stalin and beria die pathetically

It was a nice evening.

Can anyone post a MEGA link?

I really liked that Zhukov is Mega alpha chad in the movie.

>none of the actors sound any different than they would in any other films.

But they're being used for specific roles due to their accents....

>jeffrey tambor got removed from the poster amidst allegations from two coworkers on the show transparent about sexual misconduct
>coincidentally the two coworkers, both lgbtq+, have spoken against Tambor taking the role since the start of the show, because the role of a transwoman should go to a member of the lgbtq+ community

cant tell if that is a joke on their part or just very ironic and hypocritical

How transwoman and Stalin are connected?

will I enjoy this if I don't know anything about the events surrounding Stalin's death

love a bit of Armando but worried this will be lost on me

>coincidentally
yeah what a coincidence that the same women making a ruckus about an actor playing a role, later come out and throw allegations against him.
what a convenient coincidence haha, wow those "ladies" were right from the beginning it seems

Pretty easy to follow imho, maybe you'll miss two or three jokes
Actually a good introduction point to USSR politics

yes.

it's politicians getting in over their heads, winging it and plotting against each other.

Just like TTOI

90's gave us comedy covering this era. And some of these movies were good. "The Feasts of Belshazzar" comes to mind.

Death of Stalin was banned because of petition of 5-6 butthurt commie MPs. Recent VCIOM poll shows that 58% of russians want to see it.

or just throw it in the fuckin trash. reddit-tier painting

Why are people complaining about the accents? You really think it would be better if all the actors did a fake stereotypical Russian accent?

da

When is Iannucci doing his Trump movie?

>what is the casting process?
