I was only half serious when I predicted it, but it made sense given where he seemed to be going with this little subplot.

Anyway, people are going to be disappointed but imo the guy wrote himself into a bit of a corner from the start of this little episode. He wasn't going to kill off either character, and there is too much other shit to deal with in this book to spend too many pages on Cio's spazz attack. So he had to resolve the situation quickly so the story can get back to Mammon. It would have been better, imo, if Cio had fled after coming to her senses and not shown up again until the next book.

Obviously people were desperate to see their pace-obliterating fanfiction theories come to fruition, but this resolution was properly foreshadowed and fits within the rhythm of the story. They're still in the heart of Mammon's vault, with whatever self-interested remnants of the raiding party are still skulking around.

Princess became steadily more purple until they reached the air maze and has a red devil form with a entirely blue body, Preen Nam is a very old gold devil who's entirely black except for his mask, while Cio's slowly gone from having black limbs to purplish since the course of the arc, to say nothing about her mask (hilariously, Oscar probably has the most consistent inhuman design in the comic and he's had two different pairs of feet).

I'm finishing my final year of robotics engineering (mechatronics) and spent a few years on a math degree; as far as transferable learning goes, mathematics and philosophy are the most useful IMO. Philosophy includes formal logic, which is about as close to mathematics as you can get without actually doing math, and makes digital logic look like a fucking joke. Philosophy degrees may be populated with abhorrent swormy pseudo-intellects, sure, but I don't hold that against it. It's a useful and interesting field that helps a lot with critical thinking.

Not really sure what you mean by 'everything else is just electives'. My program has almost 40 core classes, 6 spots for degree specific electives, and I think 2 spots for general electives.

I envy you Anons that went to places where the first two years of college weren't basically a repeat of highschool.

If you're required to have a minor then you use your electives. Since you're going to have to take your electives anyway then you should study something related to your major to help you gain a broader understanding of your field which can be beneficial if the needs of the labor market or your future occupation shift. If an elective is wasting your time then it's because you chose to waste that time. Quit enrolling in WS 101 or trying to pad your GPA, and take a damn course that is applicable to you.

I'll never forget the teacher having to explain after the first assignment that texting shorthand would not be considered in keeping with the format. I suppose it is a bit rough. It's almost impossible to not graduate from highschool and then the quasi-illiterates get paid by the government to go to college. I think that the problem is that for some reason colleges are unwilling to dump students into remedial English courses that don't count for credits. It might be a prestige thing, since no one wants to have the most remedial students, but a good chunk of students being forced to stay in school longer because they had to take courses that didn't count seems right up the alley of a for-profit institution. Hell, my alma mater made pretty much everyone take an introductory CS course that didn't count for anything if they wanted to study CS.

Zaid will be joining the party, so thats six. Nyave also has shown to be capable of standing in the face of a raging Angel, and was able to snap White Chain out of her funk, not to mention she is likely the most educated of the bunch, in terms of teachings, as she was raised and schooled to be a consort to Mottom, which means she has a lot of skills and knowledge that can be put to use.

I can see Nyave being quite useful in terms of relatively mundane skills. Sure she doesn't have angel kung-fu or the Art but there's plenty of mortal skills she could display that would make her worth keeping around.

She also could serve as another character who can teach Allison about the world, especially from a mortal perspective. Since all we've had are White Chain and Cio which are great for instructing Allison in the ways of Angels and Devils but not really how mortals live.
