no.

yes, DW was a spoiled bitch

she still learned nothing

It wasnt ample punishment. DW’s antics which have tormented Arthur for years deserved much more than just a single punch. We’re talking full disfigurement, using a weed-wacker or an electric drill, sewing her mouth shut so she can’t bitch and whine, and cutting off her hands so she can’t mess with Arthur’s stuff anymore.

she's like 5 years old dude

I wouldn't say punching a 4-year-old isn't justified, but DW isn't punished at all otherwise for breaking Arthur's plane.

Edge/10

There shouldve been a story element where DW was also at fault to a point, but instead threw in a "Binky proves he's tough" subplot

And? The little shit has recieved no punishment for her antics, and has not learned a single lesson in her life. If we let kids do whatever they want without beating them, then they grow up to be spineless delinquents. DW needs to learn a lesson. Even if it may be a little harsh, her punishment is a gift in disguise.

I think The tibbles throwing a swing chair into her face a good comeuppance. i dont know if that came first or not.

This is the worst show, actively treating boys to be spineless cucks.

>"I told you not to touch it! Im going to make you suck my dick!"
>"Who told you to piss yourself?! Now fucking lick it up!"

Jesus fucking christ, Arthur. Calm down!

What happened again?

>DW keeps annoying Arthur
>Arthur eventually finishes a model plane he worked hard on
>more than once , DW is told not to touch it as the plane is incapable of flight, but still throws it out the window
>HULK SMASH DW
>jumpcut to her falling on the floor as she cries
>"My son, your actions were unmotivated and unjustified"
>"aww now i regret it as it was MY fault"

The whole point would have been better as a "Should I have hit you for hitting your sister?" instead of that weird "binky hit me" thing. Or better yet had Arthur break something around the house, like that fucking computer, and have his parents ask if they should beat the shit out of him over that.

Fuck off, Cred Forums.

yes user, this show for babies is the reason you can't get laid

Yeah, it was a weird reverse bikecuck lesson.
>Binky hit me, and then I realized that hitting you caused more suffering than you breaking my plane, so all I did was make the world worse.

>He didn't see the episode where Buster tells two bullies to fuck off when they keep making him do stupid dares
>He didn't see the episode where he successfully intimidates Binky and his gang into helping him clean up the park after his dog nearly chokes on their garbage
>He didn't see the episode where Buster shuts down a corrupt candy company that was putting harmful substances in their products

yes

it isn't like arthur is some roid monkey or even an adult, a punch from him isn't gonna fuck up DW physically. that shit builds character. You can tell her "don't be a cunt" all you want but she ain't gonna learn that way. You gotta pavlov the fear of not being an asshole into kids and if the way to do that is "let their brother punch em once in a while" then go for it.

Yes because DW is a FUCKING cunt. No because men aren't supposed to hit women.

For the longest time I don't understand why Arthur got the worst out of it, but now I understand.
While his anger was justified, his action was not. He could have just told his parents or just go ruin on of DW's toys, but his choice of hitting his sister was not. It's like shooting up a school for getting dumped by your girlfriend.
The point was that violence was not the solution, especially not in a situation that can be just as easily resolved by words.

The issue is less that DW shouldn’t have gotten a smack for acting like a brat, but that Arthur needs to master the rage within his own heart.

What, you want him to use the Satsui no Hado on DW?

DW was in the wrong but that was no reason for Arthur to sperg out and hit a toddler

More like a cycle of violence thing
>Just because someone stronger than me takes out his anger on me doesn't mean that I in turn have the right to take out my aggression on people weaker than me

It's not really a bikecuck lesson so much as it is an argument against the oppression olympics.
>My dad beats me, so it's okay for me to bully kids at school
>I'm fat, so that makes it okay for me to tell people with "thin privilege" to kill themselves
>I'm black, so that makes it okay for me to take what I'm owed from the white kids

Being downtrodden doesn't justify passing the buck and making other people's lives worse. Man up and deal with your shit (is the moral of the episode, I mean)

>open Arthur thread
>expect shitpost answers or "who cares faggot"
>almost every poster takes the question at least semi seriously
>more than half give ethics analysis of Arther's actions and their consequences

what kind of meta trolling is this? it's like a reverse Poe's Law -your autism is so pure it's become indisguishable from moral force

>knocking your younger sibling back into reality is wrong

Bull. Shit. I'm with Arthur on this one.

Spoken like a true faggot. Violence is needed to bring people back to reality.

I still think DW deserved that punch. In reality it would've knocked the bitch out of her and settled her ass down.

Regularly hitting your little sibling wouldn't be justified. In this specific instance it totally was and it's not like he even went overboard. Arthur deserved to get punished for it and all, but I can't find anything about his reaction to complain about here. HE TOLD HER NOT TO TOUCH IT, etc.

The Binky subplot/resolution was retarded though. Literally the ending would have made more sense if Arthur got hit by one of his own parents and they were like "yeah, how did you like that?" but I guess that might be a bit controversial for a kids' show. Relying on some bully who was peer-pressured into violence to teach your child empathy by randomly hitting him is a really roundabout moral that maybe should have been its own episode. Ex. "don't hang with people who force you into shit"

oh my, yes.

youtube.com/watch?v=0t9W0DgbCYY

No, but there is a method to disciplining a child with force. Part of that is that it’s up to mom and dad (with a bunch of stuff on top of that). Arthur laying the smack down because he’s angry isn’t acceptable behavior.

>Violence is needed to bring people back to reality
tough guy on the Internet eh? What else do you suggest we do, bring back gladiator rings and start a ethnostate?

user is right though

user may not get laid, but he's not wrong either

buster is allowed to be tough because his dad is gay

>pacifism

do you have workers rights? thank a socialist

socialists were killed by police for demanding workers rights.

liberals just whine and shill fallacy of the middle ground

It is time again

yea watching a cartoon for babies is the reason

She learned nothing the entire show. The DW that was in the very first episode was the same DW as in the last.

I choose to believe DW is a sociopath and Arthur was trying to teach us as kids that some people are just shitty, selfish assholes and no matter what you do they will continue to be shitty, selfish assholes. And those shitty, selfish assholes just might be people you love.

This is the kind of dude who's like "yeah I'd survive the zombie apocalypse, I play a lot of Left 4 Dead"

very true

He nearly amputook her arm

He told her not to touch it.
