I'm think they actually foreshadowed all the pairings in the fairy episode. Koharu interacts with Asahi. Ako interacts with Kanata (glasses), who was the mirror. Roller/Laura doesn't talk to any boy, and Yume has Subaru and Nozomu (or he just motivates Subaru).

>denial The stuff with Koharu being missing from the party with Yume, Rola, Mahiru and Ako plus the fact that she is getting an episode next week plus episode 30 makes it clear that Koharu is going away.

Jace Sanders
Not him, but it was just okay. Had nothing to it that was particularly likable. Cocotama had the exact same problem. Dull day in general.
Gavin Campbell

Jack Edwards
Also not him, the focus was spread too thin between all the characters, and you'll notice that this was just an "in general" episode. It was told from a third person perspective, not from inside the head of any of the girls. And also there was a bit of weakness and repetition in the throwaway lines, like Roller repeats herself when there's no need to (I don't mean the Ako joke).
Liam Baker

Zachary Scott
Aikatsu Stars 30: Seven-colored candy Despite being Yume's childhood friend, Koharu has kept a big secret to herself. However, Koharu can't keep silent forever. Nathan Rodriguez
Why is Koharu a beauty class when she isn't beautiful at all? She should be in her own loser class. Maybe that's why she's leaving the show for good.
Nathaniel Mitchell
They're putting Koharu on a bus to send the show into overdrive. Think about it, she is the one keeping everything together. Yume is hotblooded and stubborn but also emotionally fragile, her life needs the kind and mature Koharu by her side. Koharu serves as a balancing point for Yume and Rola's rivalfriendship. As soon as Koharu is out of the picture, the life Yume had gotten used to will come crumbling down. No more conveniently timed candies to diffuse tense situations, no more kind adult-like third parties listening to Yume's problems, no more friends to talk with in the night. It will be a whole new world for Yume.
Zachary Scott
You're a big fat meanie.

Oliver Brooks
I've never got why Aikatsu didn't use the seiyuu as the singers. If it was to promote new idols, most of the seiyuu are also complete newbies so I don't see why it would make a difference. Although in Seira's case, she was voiced by an actual idol, which made it even worse.
Camden Wood
You... you person with different taste! How dare you! We all have to think the same here!

>I must hold the same opinion as the majority
Liam Hall
It's kind of a shame that they already had seiyuu who were plenty capable of singing, but I can also kind of understand wanting to give newer idols some work. The only one I ended up not really liking was Seira's though, and that's mainly because of the disparity between her singer's super deep voice and Kaori Ishihara's relatively high pitched voice, everyone else sounded fine.
Parker Smith
Don't make me la la la your face.
Isaiah Clark
Nah, Kii still sucked, sure, you can say Kii didn't sucked and you liked it, nothing wrong with that, but I will still say Kii and Seira sucked whatever their places would have been in popularity pollls.
Jason Foster
What I'm wondering though, is if they wanted to promote a new idol unit for the show, why not just make one out of Sumire, Ayaka, and Azusa? I don't believe any of them were particularly well known seiyuu prior to Aikatsu. I guess even if the others weren't necessarily as bad as Seira, the disparity still bothered me.
Logan Fisher
Worst Idol.
Landon Evans
You just say that because she's cuter than you.
Jaxson Morris
Sumire was only 13 when the show started. I'm not familiar at all with idol culture outside of anime, is it common at all for them to start that young? That's the only reason I can see why she wouldn't be able to do it, Azusa and Hasshi were old enough.
Parker Gray
There have been equal and younger singing idols.
Jose Jackson
You're dead kiddo
Elijah Nelson
I'm not to informed on idol culture outside of anime either, but I believe it's not common, but also not unheard of. I'm pretty sure there's a 14 year old in AKB right now.
Samuel Diaz
To bring western stuff into this, Miley Cyrus started her pop career at 11, so it clearly happens, although it's pretty rare.
Camden Cox
Prizmmy were like 11-12 when they started in those AD segments.
Julian Adams
Was gonna follow up with asking how often girls that age take on both long-running voice acting work and singing work, but then stuff like popped into my head. So promoting other idols likely was the main reason they didn't use the seiyuu as singers.
William Nelson

David Robinson
Do any of you guys have that image of Lala and the giraffe??
Owen Sanchez
Too old for idoling.
Gavin Rodriguez
The reason they don't make the VAs sing is so banrise and Lantis can have control over the music production and live performances at a lowered cost and higher availability. VAs have schedules to keep and get hired by other companies for other projects, so they're not always available and often come in varying price brackets. By having smaller time idols under their control, they can freely use the songs and character singing voices without having to call back the original VAs. From a business standpoint, it's pretty smart because it preserves longevity of the songs as products. You'll still be hearing them perform vanilla aikatsu songs live well into Stars, which is something most other idol anime won't be able to do after their runs end. I personally don't like they way they do it, I'd rather them have one idol per character rather than getting one idol to do 2-4 voices. I think I prefer what Tomy and Avex did with iRis, just grabbing an already established small time idol group and dedicating/integrating them into a large project, they're so practiced with their repertoire now that their live PP performances shit all over other idols and VAs when they do anisong festivals like animelo.
Thomas Gray
It's kind of a shame considering how they cast the best singer in Sphere as Mizuki and yet didn't have her sing.
William Allen
JUST WHAT IS KOHARU'S SECRET
IS SHE GOING AWAY OR NOT?
FUCK
Camden Nguyen
When you put it like that, it does sound like a smart business move, but I definitely agree that I prefer something like iRis as well.
When Stars started, I was kind of hoping the main characters would actually be voiced by the already established Aikatsu singers, although I am glad to still have the OG main three's voices in the show.
Dylan Davis
It's amusing to look back at Full Moon, with how Mitsuki was considered to be too young to audition, and how she wanted to be an artist who wrote her own songs.
Flash forward to the current state of idol anime and Arinacchi writing another idol manga and designing the i7 characters.
Adam Gomez
Is full moon worth watching? Look at it now, surprised at how high of a score it has.
Aiden Garcia
Definitely. It's probably my favorite anime of all time.
Josiah Morales
SEXY!
Henry Harris
It's definitely the best out of all of Arinacchi's works, though I'd recommend reading it too. A friend told me to watch it ~10 years ago and when I told her I finished, she said to read the manga instead since the anime sucked, hah.
Who knows. I'll still watch it, but it doesn't look like it'll have the charm that KinPri had in order to keep me interested in an all guys show.
Jayden Edwards

Although at the same time, Guykatsu like I7 could easily gain a new fanbase to rob shekels from.

Jace Butler
Yes. Got it reserved for you.
Ethan Anderson
Fav season 1 song.
Dylan Diaz
S1 had the best songs. Wake Up My Music and Signalize are the best.
Hey Little Girl from S3 is pretty good too.
Parker Lee
Thanks.

Hey Little Girl is my least favorite song in the entire series. I like all the others except for Dance in the Rain.
Wyatt Jackson
I love Sumire's PRETTY GIRL~ when she sang it in a couple of the episodes.
Levi Morgan
Koharu leaving is the beginning of Yume being left all alone.
Roller will get edgier, begin taking the rivalry more seriously, training 24/7. Yozora and Mahiru will get a big modeling gig in France. Subaru and M4 will begin a tour around Japan. Ako will follow Subaru around Japan.
Daniel Morris
It's a little girls show, you know that won't happen unless its resolved in the same episode.
Jack Taylor
We need more anons like you who are willing to sacrifice their time to find fun info like that and give others a good time. Tomy and Avex didn't do it for Pripara yes, but they did do that for Kinpri, they only picked relatively new VAs for the new edel rose boys right?

What's some essential /ai/nime from the 80's and the 90's?
Aaron Ross
Fist of the North Star. It's about love, forgiveness, friendship and family, very predominant /ai/ themes.
Jace Diaz
There would be no /ai/nime without Ace wo Nerae.
Elijah Anderson

Don't they usually have delays for new shows nobody cares about? You could always get CR premium and watch it on there.

Guykatsu was mediocre and they should've done like Aikatsu and hire VAs to do the voice acting and only let the idols sing.
im watching this right now, good anime, im in the episode 22
Brandon Sanders
Prepare for the final 2 episodes.
John Morales
I'd rather marry this Lala as well.
Jayden Lewis
That's not Lala, that's Miho.
Hunter Russell
Is she fancy though?
Colton Lopez
Welp this is a bit embarrassing.
Kayden Bell
Idols was a mistake. WE could have stopped this.
Lucas Cooper
Why would you want to stop the future?
Logan Moore
This looks dangerously like a possible future in which everyone lives in their own worlds while at the same time using each other for real human warmth and contact.
Michael Hill
>some pathetic otaku's fantasy of a sexual encounter with a fujo Literally worse than our desperate-kun. And if such a thing were to happen, they'd use silicone dolls instead of real persons for the physical stimulation while VR'ing.

Potential shows to be added to /ai/ shows guide, list in progress: >Kodomo no Omocha >Fullmoon wo Sagashite >Petite Princess Yucie >Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san >Kirarin Revolution >Creamy Mami >Magical Emi >Kasumin >Battle Spirits

Jordan Barnes
You shouldn't do it. Not saying it because I don't support these ideas, it's simply not worth it. I don't think they gave a clear estimate yet but you'll play Summer Lesson for like 30hours and then be alone again. VR technology and stuff as of now can't be used as substitutions to human contact yet because it's too limited data wise. At some point you'll just have done everything in one game and heard every line and done every scene. You'll have to wait for the next game. Of course that's a problem that can be solved with time. But right now buying Summer Lessons or similar things for that kind of reason isn't worth it.
>spoiler-tag failed Welp, imagine a black bar covering the last word after the first letter.

Handwritten Japanese is really tiring to read, not sure if because it's normaly the case or because I'm not native.
Carter Turner
It's not about being naive, it's just not being used to reading it written like that. If you think that's bad, real Japanese written with pen and paper is even worse.
Angel Cox
It worries me just how more difficult I find reading handwritten Japanese.
Chase Turner
Aidoru Katsudou Rock Ver is the kind of song that make you cringe at first but then you love. But I love Furi voice and Sweet Sp!ce is my favorite song, so take my opinion just as a grain of salt.
Caleb Sullivan
Handwritten English (or anything using the Latin alphabet) can be hard enough, and that only uses 26 characters that you probably spend half your life staring at. I don't think it's at all surprising that handwritten Japanese is difficult.
Sebastian Nguyen
Hell, I can't even read by own handwriting half the time. I guess I'll give up on Japanese.
Luke Kelly
Little girl anime get the best fanart.
Logan Flores
Hey Little Girl was the perfect song for Akari/Yuu, but fuck it, lets try to make Sumire popular again.
Cameron Rivera

Ryder Baker
What's going on here?
Nathaniel Rogers
I have no idea what you mean by "again", but Yuu was not meant to remain a main character.
Liam Jenkins
Looks like everyone is talking about their P/PR cards and Shion doesn't have one? Maybe.
Angel Mitchell
Sumire was pushed A LOT more than other main characters, she didn't need other song.
Josiah Smith
I'd like to see the numbers behind that, but either way it wasn't a Sumire song, it was an Akari and Sumire song [in the anime].
Aiden Jones
She had more songs and Premium Dresses than others main characters (except Akari for obvious reasons). The DanDiva arc was huge and very Sumire-oriented. At least Jalapeño got some love after job against Nadeshiko. Orihime always hyped the shit up of Sumire every tournament arc.
user, I like her and her character development, but Yuu deserved some love and Hey Little Girl was the perfect song for that.
Jack Richardson
Yeah, we're all in the same boat. But with the course set to Sumire Island, I try to focus on the sweet serenades coming towards the bow and ignore the electric trees and fang bushes of Yuu Islet off the port side, and not drown myself trying to swim for something out of reach.
Connor Murphy
She didn't perform on the new movie user. It's just too painful.

Ethan Jenkins
Watched the first episode of Dream Festival. It didn't feel like anything special, but I'll keep watching, at least for a while. I really dislike most of the seiyuus though, I hope they improve a lot as the series goes on.
Grayson Morales
Are you kidding? If I saw anything idle related in a physical store, I'll be damned if I care what people think of me. I'm buying it.

You don't need to make up a story. Believe me, most clerks wouldn't think twice of what you buy unless you start explaining why you're buying it. They see hundreds of people a day and they'll forget about you as soon as you walk out the door unless you do something to make them remember you.
If they do ask you about it, don't lie. Just say that you're interested in Japanese and you want something simple to try to read. You might even make a friend.
William Lopez
You do not have us. It is the thread that has you. You have nothing. If you have nothing then it is time to get to work and acquire some slice of the pie of life for yourself, even if very small. Now shoo.
