I have seen a lot of hate for TOM lately. It's understandable with all the TOM point restrictions as well as the free shipping increases, but even with all that I'm finding myself saving quite a bit on things!

I'm just posting this because if I was to just read the "buyfag" thread and not closely look at TOMs offers, I'd likely be losing a decent chunk of money.

The things about TOM that you need to be okay with:

1. Using TOM points effectively and being okay with calculating them into the actual cost
2. Being charged up front
3. Some things not being eligible for TOM points, I have not ran into this though
4. Having your orders be approximately $200-$225 to qualify for free shipping, although there are exceptions to this I'll get to below

So some examples I have:

The Saber Dress Vers. cost me $102 from TOM with free shipping. It's sold out on other sites and actually a decent amount more than TOM and then you also have to pay shipping on top of it! PS: there's one more left at TOM =)

Momohime was also cheapest at TOM! My order came to $107~ with free shipping!

The thing about posting large images is a courtesy for a few reasons.
Everyone has different internet, there's no need for the image to be that big and opening an image that then takes up your entire monitor is an eyesore/inconvenience.
I've only ever seen people complain about body parts if they show lack of basic human hygiene - Again, a courtesy to not have dirt covered fingernails if you're going to have fingers in the picture (besides it's encouraging better hygiene)
If you're going to show a picture, expect criticism on anything within it.
Most hobby discussion forums or boards have some level of expectations or guidelines when posting, mostly courteous.

Posting large images really has no value unless the photographer is able to take quality images. This is pretty common sense.

They're called "Arlec 4 x 30cm 12W Multi Colour LED Flex Strip Light"
got em from bunnings here in aus for $41 a pack, don't know where else you can get em though.
Pretty easy and simple to use, just connect em up to each other correctly (follow the arrows) then remove the sticky wrap on the back and stick em on to whatever.
I also bought a 4.6m length of wood skirting that was in a small triangle shape, stuck it in behind the detolf frame and attached the strips onto that.
Unfortunately the little connector box is too big to fit under the detolf so i've got mine just sitting to the side currently.
Another thing is they come in packs of 4, but to cover the length of the detolf you'll need 5 strips a side so you'll need at least 3 packs of them.
as for how they hold up i've no idea, only had em for about 4-5 hours now, though the colour change is nice and there's also a brightness setting as well which is great, they don't seem to get warm either which is another plus.
