I really liked Level E's opening. There aren't that many openings that are fully stylized and are pretty much one continuous scene.

Arakawa Under the Bridge also had great openings. No matter how much people ridicule Shaft nowadays, their OPs and end card illustrations were way ahead of time.

The crystal figures in the beginning struck me as a bit weird at the time. It's nothing record-breaking, but a lot of work must have gone into animating the lighting and the motion; and yet it's just a small part of an ED.
