I feel like Shippuden is overall a massive drop in quality for the series, but I still have lingering feelings for it. Pierott handled the anime in a disgusting milking fashion, but this is the fight everyone has been waiting for for years.

The flashbacks were short and tastefully incorporated into the action, and the OST from the original series was the icing on the cake. The taijutsu from the beginning of the fight and the moment between Naruto and Kurama were probably my favorite.

Part 1: He didn't summon his frogs which coulda just stepped on Sasuke. And luckily for Sasuke he only unleashed 1 tail.

Part 2: Sasuke flat out says Naruto was playing defense. In all honesty Naruto could have murdered Sasuke from the start but he took too long and let him absorb the Tailed Beasts and that brought Sasuke to the top.

Then Naruto just absorbs more energy and hes back to equal standing with Sasuke's strongest form.

Naruto has -always- been stronger.

Imagine this, Sasuke with the power of ALL the tailed beasts is equal to Naruto with a fraction of all their power + Sage Energy.

I still feel a murderous rage when I see the 'nu' Anko. Just... why? What is the reason behind the change? Wasn't she one of Kishi's favorite females? I just don't understand, and I feel the answer would infuriate me even more.

There were some great choreographed parts, like the Taijutsu, Kirin, one of the clones getting speared in the head Eva style, fighting while completely tired and the final Chidori vs Rasengan (the use of light was pretty cool before they jumped at each other), but animaton wise it wasn't too special, Naruto had way better animated fights before.

It's a bit disappointing that this is what they could manage to do for this fight.

All this for a guy you knew for a few years as a kid? No.

I always liked the game version of it because it felt like there was more build up towards them fighting, but it could be like you said because we have to actually play the Taijutsu parts which makes the fight more immersing to get into. The Manga version of the fight always felt too rushed to me how they suddenly power-up and got tired. After, that doing a couple punches and kicks before they finish it with their jutsu clash. The fight never lived up to the hyped to me in the manga. So if the anime expanded it like the game did then I probably be more satisfied fight then.

That last no-holds-barred knuck-fest was the best part of the whole fight. I don't know who lost that tooth but damn.

Seriously, fuck off already. I watched the game version on youtube when it came out, and it was awful. For the finale fight:

anime > manga >> game

Except the action in the last fight was good, as was the emotional element. People liked it. It was well received.
