Can someone tell me the diference betwen hunter x hunter and hunter x hunter (2011)
Can someone tell me the diference betwen hunter x hunter and hunter x hunter (2011)
theres none
Hunter X Hunter Brotherhood had less filler and pacing closer to the manga's
2011 is better in every single aspect.
One is old
Well I can tell you the similarities: they're both shit.
Reddit loves 2011 one.
Probably because its airing on Adult Swim.
Original ran out of material and ended before the Chimera Ant arc, which was a very large arc. Because of this it missed out on having the best girls.
2011 included that one
This.
Wanted to post this but you already did it.
where's 12 out of 28?
I assume that is supposed to be the date
Where's the 1999 defense force today?
They say the color palette, darker soundtrack and animation of some sequences is better.
99 is better in every way except that it has a non-ending, where 11 is actually super satisfying when it's all over. 11 also has the chimera and arc which starts really fucking slowly but actually gets quite good by the end of it. I'd say watch 99 if you're interested in a more artful experience or 11 if you want the manga, animated. If you like one, then I recommend the other too.
The only 1999 scene that has better animation off the top of my head is when Pika uses his chains to catch the bullets from the puppets. I'm sure there's more instances.
>mfw that string of episodes that took place in the matter of 20 minutes
Holy fuck that was slow and boring as shit.
You failed math class, didn't you?
Hunter x Hunter (1999) and Hunter x Hunter (2011). Let's substract (Hunter x Hunter) from both sides.
Now we got (1999) and (2011). Let's substract (1999) from both sides.
It's 12. That's the maximum age of people who like the latter more.
A date? Why would she go on a date with Pitou? I am pretty sure she's into manly guys only, not effeminate ones like him.
99fags are just as butthurt as the 2003 FMA fags.
Like she has a choice
this.
What's Pitou's height by the way? Around 176cm? Asking for scientific purposes.
No way she's taller than most of the posters in this thread. She's 160cm tops.
1999 adapts only the first 3-4 arcs and has lots of filler. It has better animation in some of the less important fights, but shittier character designs. Direction tone is also darker.
2011 adapts all 7 arcs released at the time (note that arcs are not even in length and arc 6 is about 40% of the HunterxHunter manga, so 2011 covers over three times the material of 1999), although it cuts some early stuff to rush through the plot. Its animation is ok for the most part, but you can see they didn't really want to spend much time in the parts already covered in 1999.
Both part 3 and part 6 are cool.
But I'd recommend just reading the manga and watching your favorite parts animated later. That is what I did.
2011 is from 2011, the other is not
The proportions vary wildly. Half the characters seem to be well over 7 feet tall. Youpi is about twice as tall as Kura, who is ~158cm
Comparing Pitou to Gon and Gon to Kurapika, Pitou should be about 170cm-175cm Kurapika is 171cm
Why did you put a Digimon in your OP picture if you're asking about Hunterekshunter?
>as Kura, who is ~158cm
as who?
Pokemon>>>>>>HxH prove me wrong.
Psh. I already did.
I meant Killua. Medications got me woozy. Thanks for pointing that out
Killua is 158cm
Kura is 171cm
I don't think anyone outside of the main cast has official heights, but Togashi seems to take the One Piece approach to height
What if I watch the first 3 arcs in 99 and continue from 11?
You will regret not hearing the superior Hisoka in 2011.
I dunno. But reading manga is about four times quicker than watching anime, so I prefer it quite a lot.
Plus, HunterxHunter's superpower system (Nen) uses a lot of terms that might be hard to remember at first, so I liked having the pages where the techniques were explained in different tabs, so I could reread them whenever new stuff came out.
Who had the strongest power in Hunter Hunter?
(Not who was the strongest in terms of stats / not Meruem.)
The older series is better in every aspect and the only reason people tout about 2011 is because they are faggots who don't watch anything made before 2006
Uh huh. Nice try kid but I watched Legend of Galactic Heroes back when it originally aired.
But that's wrong. The Greed Island arc was better in the old HxH
Tonpa
request threads belong on retard
>Brotherhood
You got me there.
The strongest we've seen is Netero's because the man went insane/super sane for a period of years. No one besides Meruem could beat that technique.
He could easily be defeated by a competent Manipulator like Pariston.
The question was the strongest power in HxH, not strongest person. You effectively have to look at who you want to possess with your own manipulation powers to answer this.
Either a thief's like Leol's or Chrollo's, since they have flexibility and the ability to remove other people's Nen or a powerful manipulator's like Illumi, Shaiapouf or Shalnark, who could theorically immediately incapacitate an unaware opponent
All Nen abilities have weaknesses. A particular Hatsu being able to beat another doesn't mean it is stronger.
But the only weakness (besides the hardest of reads) of the Bodhisattva is that you have to say a prayer before using it. Netero's insanity period effectively negated this, so that technique is now godlike.
But Chrollo is also up there. Especially with the ramifications of nen getting stronger after death.
not like 2011 did them any favors. they were prettier in the manga, Pitou especially, badhouse made stupid choices. Nice eyes though.
Badhouse's color choice at least was a little bit interesting than the generic blond hair/blue eyes shit. Brown hair Pitou is still the best though.
One has nice hand-painted animation, the other has relatively nice modern animation.
Thieving is pretty much the worst ability possible because you don't have anything until you steal something and how much you can steal is directly related to how hard your'e getting carried by your buddies. And even then imagine if you had Chrollo's ability and faced with a H-HAYAI opponent so you want to use that one special technique in your spellbook and you grin to yourself thinking you can get him easily with that only to find out that the guy who originally had it got ran over by a bullet train in an unfortunate turn of events.
Hunter x Hunter establishes Gon's characterisation with Kite better but the remake has:
>more consistent animation
>better voice acting
>more accurate to the manga
>little to no filler
>superior OST
>more episodes
Also that one thing 99 has over 11 happens in the very beginning of the anime, so you only miss out then. That being said, here's the best order to watch it:
1999 - Episode 1 to 3
2011 - Episode 1 to Finish
I prefer 2011 over the old one. This is personal preference, and many like some arcs in the old one better (such as Yorkshin).
New one has 0-filler. Suggest skipping all filler in the old one.
New one has Chimera Ant arc, which has some of the best action scenes seen in a shonen-anime. Some scenes are also quite a ride emotionally.
Blonde hair/red eyes > *
>implying those guys aren't being held in some remote secure dungeon
I found the chimera arc to be overrated but like all arcs in this show it has good things, but it's padded with many uninteresting episodes and characters.
I enjoyed the election arc a lot more even if Alluka's existence was super bullshit 64
Filler doesn't automatically means bad.
I see elevenfags really like to use this meme to point why 99 supposed to be bad and "outdated" and try to protect their shitty reddit adaptation in every fucking hxh thread as if they were obsessed or paid to do so, even though the animation was shit, designs were flat and shitty, colors were off, OST was like the same three or four? tracks played for every and each scene, and superior voice acting? Are fucking real? Kurapika sounds like ass now, Hyskoa is just your regular JoJo antagonist, and it also shows that putting famous VAs won't carry your shitshow. I have many more complaints about 11 version, but nobody cares so just look at this inbred flaming homo motherfucker: Your typical MAL-adjusted degenerative teenager, aka 2011-fag. Honestly, it's really pitiful, like I feel so sorry for them, they can't suicide so they try to make everyone suffer too by watching that oldman bloody diarrhea.
>Hyskoa is just your regular JoJo antagonist
What a nonsensical thing to say.
Yeah, they're not, there's no one to feed them, and also
N.B.
hunter x hunter was nothing special, hunter x hunter is everything special.
Hunter x Hunter 2011 has better Kurapika voice and better animated Kurapika.
I love Kurapika so much that he makes me question my sexuality. Why couldn't he just be a girl.
Of course Thieving is useless occassionally. But I picked it, and manipulation because they have the most POTENTIAL.
Yes. Chrollo and Leol could have their asses handed to them if they have shit luck or don't plan things well enough, but with good luck and good planning they could also kill about anyone. I mean, you could have remotely realistic scenarios where Leol kills Meruem.
Purely potential based, Knuckle's ability is the strongest. If he had the highest Nen capacity, he could instantly defeat everyone in one punch.
It's okay. You'll get to a point where it won't matter.
Sawashiro was NOT a good fit for Kurapika.
Yes she was. From best tomboy Kanbaru to what-could-have-been-even-better tomboy Kurapika.
Most abilities are OP if you give the user infinitely high Nen capacity.
Enhancers could destroy life on the surface of the planet with punches if you make them strong enough.
Could they really though? I thought the whole point of the Chimera Ant arc was that even with the highest amounts of Nen possible, you still are ultimately nothing when you try to take on the entire world. At best you can make blasts into the Earth as much as nuclear bomb. There's probably an exponentially smaller and smaller blast radius improvement as you throw in more and more Nen.
No, they probably couldn't within the story established by Togashi. But it is unlikely for anyone except Meruem and the Royal Guard to be able to use Knuckle's ability for OHKOs, and the people they'd be able to OHKO are also people they'd more than likely OHKO normally, so I'd be hardpressed to say it is the best ability.
The thing is that you only need to be able to deliver just 1 point more Nen in the one hit than anyone else's Nen capacity and they go bust. Normally if you hit someone and the difference in your points is only 1 point then it's barely a scratch.
But Pika was not a tomboy, he's a postpubescent male. So Sawashiro was no good.
If Hunter x Hunter had a western adaptation, pretty much every Emitter type would be a stereotypical black man.
Well to be fair Pitou's design changed in the manga over time.
From that initial weird dollface, to generic wide eyed cat girl, to the abused cutie
>not purple hair
RIP IN PIECE MOSHA YOU WERE TOO GOOD FOR THIS WORLD
Probably Netero's. Extremely flexible, very powerful. It's only weakness is it is limited by its owner.
That said, a few abilities are "instant win", where getting an opponent basically means you have won. That Spider dude killed by Hisoka recently had one of those.
Please don't give them ideas. I stopped browsing tumblr for Pitou pics after being swamped in the weird gender shit. I don't need to see vaguely ethnic gay genderqueer Gon.
forgot to link
hxh 1991 is fully hand drawn and has some filler
hxh 2011 follows the manga to election arc and is better animated than most studio in modern standard.
It's not even about giving anyone ideas though, it's just natural. If there were black men in the HxH universe, then all the emitters should get blacked. Personality fits perfectly pretty much every time:
>Ging/Yuske
Deadbeat dad, absent father, but to be fair he was raised by a single mom who worked as a prostitute, so it's not entirely his fault.
>Leorio
Literally poetry, rags to riches story, troublesome black youth becomes neurosurgeon thanks to affirmative action (Kurapika/Gon/Killua carrying him through the exam).
>Franklin
Pop pop pop, watchin' niggas drop.
>Goreinu
Come on. This entry basically writes itself in your mind just when you read his name.
>Knuckle
Fast runner because he's been running away from the 5-0's since chiildhood, another clear example.
That's all the emitters in the series as far as I remember. I don't think I forgot anyone who is important.
Goreinu was Manipulate.
you forgot razor-san, who is a dindu criminal end up in greedo island. He is also Ging's accomplice.
None of those guys get shot by cops though
Also yeah, there were very few emitters
The boxing guy just prior to the dodgeball challenge was one.
Was Ging an emitter? I thought his speciality was that he could basically mimic anything.
...
no idea who this is
The one on the right likes bees and dying
The one on the left likes arrows and dying
...
Shit eaters can eat shit, what's the point defending something in a thread made by a redditurd with a /vp/ off-topic image?
Was that Cat Emperor time?
No, it was Nefelpitou using the prongs to stimulate a reaction in the arrow guy
>Nefelpitou
Why? Never in any remotely canon source has her name been spelled with an L.
Directly translated is NeferupitÅ. A lot of translators, like Nexgear, originally used Nefelpitou because the ru sound is often used for L - the japanese don't have the sound for L.
With time, people figured out that the names of the guards are partially taken from Egyptian figures, so it should be Neferpitou
I just default to Nefelpitou without thinking about it because I've been spelling it that way since around 2004 or so.
Pitou and Youpi were dogs, Pouf was a cat?
Pitou was a cat
Poufu was a butterfly
Youpi was a magical beast. You know the ones who showed up at the very start of the manga, the shapeshifters.
Does the original have shitloads of narration? If not then i'm sure it's better.
This is why
I'm talking about the original Frenchmen trio.
Oh, ignore me then
Pitou was a panther, Pouf a cat, Youpi a puppy
Kill why?
For vengeance
For the lulz
This guy is right. The 2011 had a better arc for everything except greed island was significantly better in the old version. Also I enjoyed the slow beginning a lot more in the older version but that might've been due to nostalgia and being a kid.
There isn't a difference they're both shit.
