Koe no Katachi

Why won't we get any screenings?

We didn't hear about it.

...

...

Where's the Yamada one?

Yamada has only made successes.

TLS wasn't a success, but it was better than the K-On movie.

...

It's a flop.

No it's not.

You wouldn't go anyway. You would just pirate it.

Worst flops have screened in the west, most recently we got Kizumonogatari Part 1 and 2 and they flopped harder than Koe no Katachi

But bullying was a mistake, too.

...

If you bully cute girls, they will actually think that it means that you are interested in them, and they will start liking you.

So it is not a mistake. It's what we should all do.

Aniplex bribed most Japanese theater chains to keep out Katachi; makes sense that they'd convince foreign distributors to ignore it as well.

It's a subtitled screening in the western world, which means write your local indie theater and ask instead of complaining on Cred Forums.

Stay mad, koeshitters. Kyoanus has only themselves to blame for picking an incompetent distributor.

Considering this new Shinkai movie didn't end in west despite it could easily earn money even from normies, KnK have 0 chances

Because we don't live in Japan

I heard Aniplex is actually reptiles disguised as humans though.

>this new Shinkai movie didn't end in west
Wake up, user. KnN is confirmed to be screened in 85 countries.

Kizu has left a mark in Western theatres. It has excellently shown a deconstruction of a genre that is very hard to construct. In terms of quality sales, Kizu beats KnK.

deconstruction of being successful lol

We haven't had a large scale anime adaptation in the west since Ponyo it feels like.
