Why does Sasuke have cooler and more varied moves?

Nope. Style over substance. Chakra mecha's and lazers all to beat a 'friend' (i.e. murderer and fugitive) into submission, thus ending a circle of hatred between literal reincarnations of demi-gods/wizards.

Compare this to the reasoning behind episode 133 (VotE fight #1): getting a friend back who has been seduced by an antagonist, granting him power in order to revenge his people.

This is why I do not care for today's fight, even with top notch animation. It is not compelling at all.

If anything using more powerful moves just make him look weaker since he didn't win.
