63: Despite Trunk getting rid of Zamasu, Black Goku is still there and his powerlevel is way too much even for Time Trunk. Goku can't really focus against himself and Vegeta is losing his fight again, too frustrated by the memory of his previous defeat.

When Black knock out Goku and tries to kill Trunks (for killing Zamasu), Vegeta finally snaps and goes into a rage episode. Suddenly in his mind, Black is just Goku and they're back on Earth, during Vegeta first invasion of the planet. Back into his time of glory, Vegeta completly change the way he fights, becoming much cunning and cruel, taking Black by surprise.

Black is still clearly more powerful but, unlike Beerus after the Bulma incident, don't really know how to respond and take damage. Finally, Vegeta runs out of gas, goes into a coma, leaving Black badly hurt and Goku rising once again to finish him off.

Manga handled the story better by giving the Tokitobashi a weakness instead of just making everything overpowered. In the manga the Tokitobashi caster needs to maintain a higher power level to freeze an opponent for the full duration. This is much more interesting than having Goku move faster than stopped time.

Toriyama specifically states that SSJ is not compatible with Kaioken in the Cell saga. God Ki being calm and compatible with Kaioken was an Anime exclusive line that simply just tries to overwrite any inconsistency simply because it's "calm"

They aren't "magically" compatible, it's explained pretty clearly. Ordinarily, the reason SS and Kaioken don't mesh isn't a "stamina issue", it's because of the combination of two harsh ki types that would give rise to an overwhelming amount of strain on the body - too much to handle for even a second, in fact. Since Blue's ki is calmer, Goku is allowed to use Kaioken in that form almost as if he's in base.

I don't remember the episode number exactly, but it was the one where Goku and Vegeta are training in that weird fog room. It's the first time the specific term "God ki" is mentioned and Vegeta says that he had to focus his ki inward in a calm manner in order to obtain it.

I seem to remember the explanation in the anime being that time isn't actually stopped if the target has a higher power level than the user, but I'll have to watch it again.

I'm currently far beyond the reach of your time-skip.", implying that Hit's technique no longer has any effect on him. It's similar to how Vegito was able to negate the full drawbacks of being turned into candy by having the ability to move around even if they logically shouldn't be able to.
