I don't know about the others but I barely watch any anime anymore. After changing my priorities to some real literature, anime cliches and generic characters with badly written stories for Japanese teenagers are not as remotely exciting as they were before when I was younger.

Finding something interesting now is almost impossible task so I'm just looking for some erotic fap-bait stuff that is not completely dumbed down like Monogatari.

I wouldn't be able to watch some seasonal shit like Re;Zero even in ironical way.

I really don't understand why they are viewed as mutually exclusive. I have read and enjoyed War and Peace, but I also enjoyed the likes of Monogatari and Re:Zero. I don't understand why eating a fine steak would make it impossible for you to appreciate ice cream; you enjoy the two foods for different reasons.

I honestly don't know, even Japanese video games have better scenario / plot and character than the majority of anime now.

You can unironically play From Software games for the lore or Taro's games for the plot and characters.

The source problem of anime is now about light novels and amateur writers with their super trashy texts. I bet some Harry Potter fanfics are higher quality than Japanese anime "literature".
