homosexual autist ameriboo power fantasy full of pseudophilosophical insights and ridiculous names no one ever calls out

excellent gameplay

>the motorcycle section
>escorting wounded eva
>those dark as fuck caves

it's not a 10/10

I totally agree.

Yes it is

MGS2 is better

I've been trying to replay this in the 3DS

Damn it

Did they remove the ability of using the knife attack while laying down? How am I supposed to kill crocodiles then?

Also I can't aim for shit in the 3DS ;-;

It's the only good MGS game desu

MGS2 is better in every way

They are easy. They are also shit

But The Boss is a shitty Mary Sue

I give it 7.5/10

>the motorcycle section
What is your fucking problem with them, nigga? Other than trying to shoot the pepes.

>Gameplay/Cutscene = 2.2584

No game where a third of the total play time is spent watching cutscenes is 10/10

>too many cutscenes
>half of these are boring history lessons about Russia and nuclear treaties
>bad villains except End
>made Ocelot look like a loser, destroying his badass image we call came to love
>EVA at all

Best part was the theme song tbqh.

Never played it, but always felt it could become one of my top 3 if I did.

It's been ported literally 3 times. Wtf are you waiting for

>>made Ocelot look like a loser, destroying his badass image we call came to love
>what is an origin story

What more is there to discuss

Why didn't The Boss just shoot Volgin before he shot the Davy Crocket?

Ocelot would've shot her. Probably.

He was always a loser. Watch him drop his gun in Twin Snakes

best gameplay
best story
best secrets
best everything
got my hd collection yesterday, will be playing in the coming months
nothing to discuss

TS isn't canon

That makes 2 a 12/10 game

I love it, but it has a lot of issues. I wouldn't call it a 10/10. I wouldn't even put it in my top 3 Metal Gear games.

The game isn't balanced very well at all. The gameplay does a good job throwing a bunch of cool novelty at the player but the gameplay in general is a mess. A great mess, but a mess.

that's fair

The entire original trilogy of MGS is just so good, man. I hate the series became what it did after 4, even though I enjoyed all those as well.

Why do you feel that way? Not even trying to argue, just wanna see what gripes some people have with it other than "lmao dude cutscenes"

This, really. The series could've ended after MGS1 and it would've felt like a complete trilogy. From 2 onward it just opened up a new plot with the Patriots that makes it almost feel like two separate series.

>there's an alternate universe where the trilogy was MG1, MG2, and MGS to end it all
>MG1 and 2 are remade in the mid 2000s in place of Snake Eater
>MGS1 gets a Fox Engine remake
>Ghost Babel tier spin-offs run rampant
>No Big Boss or Raiden hogging the spotlight, only the legendary hero Solid Snake

why live

Camouflage and the more open environments make it so that the most efficient (and frequently the fastest) way of handling enemies is to find a decent vantage point and shoot everyone from a distance. Faster-paced sense of tension of previous Metal Gear games is largely lost in MGS3. You can just crawl around everywhere nearly invisible. Even if you get caught CQC is unstoppable for whatever reason, and MGS3 is pretty easy to blast your way through compared to games previous. The only part of the game that's particularly tense is Grozynj Grad after escaping from your cell, though it only consists of running to the ladder to get into the sewer.

And then there's the tedium introduced by the Survival Viewer.
>remakes
No thanks.

MGS 3 > MGS 1 > MGS V > MGS 2 > MGS PW >>>>> MGS PO >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Getting shot in the nuts >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MGS 4

Swap V and 2 and this is objectively correct.

MGSV still hurts lads I feel it too with the pain and I'm still mad Kojima is a hack and didn't get babby sniper wolf etc.

>those dark as fuck caves

But over time, snake's vision adjusts to the darkness

>spends his time shitposting on Cred Forums
>hasn't played mgs3 yet
>a game made 12 years ago
>even has a good remaster

Play it you nigger, you will not regret it.

It's a tedious section regardless.

>The End
>Villain

I don't think you understood the story mate

>tedious

You can get past it in 15 minutes and that's counting the boss fight.

And that's fifteen minutes too long.

Of course it is, you have a short attention span

It's not a matter of attention span. The cave just doesn't lend much to the game. I understand why it's there--it acts as a nice breather between the sneaking and the action, not unlike the swimming section in MGS2--but it's annoying to go through and culminates in one of the weaker bosses in the game.

I'd say if anything MGS3 established that Ocelot was a remarkably competent schemer from very early on.
