He could only make the explosions because of the philosopher stones. Mustang's fire was technically stronger

2003 is interesting and has its own merits. Generally I'd say 2003 Kimblee was stronger because of that nuke he made.

God I love this show. I always wondered if they'd make some spinoff exploring the eastern lands and other lands of that universe, but at the same time you can have too much of a good thing so it was good that they ended it when they did. Just left a huge hole in me afterwards.
