Console KH team is Osaka now, at least as of KH3 anyway. The teams had a fairly significant reshuffle a couple of years back anyway, I don't think they're really the same as they were. CyberConnect2 is working on VIIR.

I don't hate it, but I'd much rather have a game that's more like the rest of the games gameplay-wise. That, or flesh out the combat system more and allow the player to switch which party member he controls like the Tales series.

I think the graphics only got a boost with Pro. I don't think on a regular PS4, it will do much.

It seems more like a hybrid of turn based and transistor's gameplay than a true turn based mode; but it still looks interesting nonetheless

I can't remember exact dates, but it's been announced for awhile now. To be clear, it isn't actually turn-based in the traditional sense, but it does slow down time significantly, allowing slower or more tactical players to take time in positioning the camera, making weapon and attack selections, etc. Like I was saying earlier, I think they are doing this to please the fans that prefer older FF, but to also help players who are new to or don't play action combat games in general

They've given away what looks to be maybe the first quarter of the game or so, everything around Altissia and afterwards is much less clear apart from specific elements like the crystal scene and Punished Noct.

Thank you. One of the most constant features of Final Fantasy is that it's constantly evolving. I can look at FFXV and say that it comes from the same family as FFVII and VIII. Even FFX had a more drastically different setting than this and I loved the post apocalyptic Pacific vibe. XV is simply has a unique setting compared to the generic medieval ones some people want. Summons,spells, weapons all connect this with other FF's and XV has them in spades.

I think all the summons names were revealed already in an ingame book. Sylph is not there. or maybe it's a secret soptional summon. That would be cool.

They've shown a lot of footage but there's very little variety. We've been seeing the same woodland for a long time. I would love to see a glimpse of the ice area or something. The game looks a bit samey everywhere.

Sory it's just been in a few threads since the newest trailer.

I forgot that Noctis has forgotten what his mother looks like, and then this could be a callback to the original game reveal about being able to see spirits and such.

That and Gentiana's looks and attire is very eastern themed, could explain Noctis's own physical appearance mixed with Regis.

Again, not a lot of evidence, just recent speculation. I know the more popular one is she's an Astral, possibly Shiva (and these things being minions since they appear smaller) but yeah, I'm kinda liking it since it's one I don't think much people thought about and could explain some things regarding Noctis.

I feel like they've definitely shown too much, but the story is so bland that people feel like they haven't shown a lot. Nope. That's just how boring the story is.

Not that poster but after dealing with various Japanese dev companies (currently live in Osaka myself), they literally work people into the ground there and don't give a fuck about their health and well being, so 12-18 hour days aren't unheard of for things like this.

This game looks very simple and boring storywise. I don't understand how anyone could get excited over anything we've seen. It's like whoever wrote the story didn't even try. Just wanted to throw some generic shit down like a placeholder for the next game where Square might actually try.
The writing is also non-existent. Very simple but the way they like throwing everything in your face all it once without easing you into anything leaves little room for you to get actually engaged in the story. Subject matter is just generic and boring as well. Even a Saturday morning cartoon atleast has charm.

The gameplay doesn't excite me either. Them cutting character switching was the dumbest fucking idea. If they were gong to cut it, they might've been better off just doing turn-based, because these retarded AI teammates is just a half-assed attempt at feeling like you have a "party". It's basically just there so you can run around with them and hear them talk. Gameplay -wise, it's just really half-assed and it would make sense if you could character switch, but there's really no point to it now.

Grenade magic is dumb af and aoe spells that do damage to your party is a cool idea in theory, but the way they've implemented it is going to be more of a nuisance than anything really quick. It's also not very challenging, so how are you even supposed to have fun?

Everything about this game just seems so half-assed or like they didn't try at all. That paired with the marketing really make me think that they just want this project to sell as much as possible with the least amount of effort so they can move on to the next project where they actually want to try.

To add to this, the graphics also aren't very impressive either even with the "upgrades". If I didn't know about the downgrades and looked at this game as a newcomer I wouldn't be the least bit impressed.

Designs atleast had charm to them and a sense of identity when Ferrari and Nomura were on the team. Most realistic cast and they still managed to look like they were from the same game.

Overall art direction suffers from the same lack of identity now as well. It's also not very pretty to look at. I feel like it's some ugly clusterfuck real world simulator with out of place fantasy elements thrown in.

Even the desolate looking places from old Versus scans and vids had a charm to them and felt immersive. Could have also been because I just preferred the sense of scale from back then too.

This game feels more like a product than something made with love.

I think his face just doesn't fit the character Tabata gave him. Nomura's version of him was a cocky little shit who liked making fucked up jokes and being too blunt with people so his twisted angry faces fit more.

Now, he's some beta cinnamon roll who flies off the handle like some angsty teenager and fails at looking cool. Tabata's character is way too bland and normal see "safe" to have such a design.

Nomura's Noct was chock full of idiosyncrasies and even described as "odd". Not to mention too "severe" to be a typical MC. He even gave him that hair because it looked crazy at the back but tame in the front.

Now, he's just a normal kid with confidence issues with crazy hair and it makes no sense.
