I'm waiting for soulvizier.

is that actually being worked on?

summon ai is literally the fucking worst, wake me up

>he didn't invest in dodge

Daily reminder that if you don't choose Dream you're a fucking scrub.

>choosing easy mode Haruspex

Templar master race.

Any fun builds?

Da fuq? I haven't reached Epic or Legendary yet, put I already have 80% piercing resistance on normal and archers do literally nothing to my 2.5k HP pool, are they really much worse on higher difficulties?

What speed are you playing on?

>Decide to play an archer
>Go Hunter + Warfare
>Put my stat points into Str and Dex
>Reach Athens catacombs boss
>He fucks me up
>Respec a few skill points, change my armor and change my weapon's relic
>Still die
>End up having to cheese him from the doorway.

is dream cancer or what?

my first time playing

Do the speed settings actually affect game play or is it like doing fast-forward on a video?

Dream is great, it's a hybrid specialization that fits well anywhere.

I actually use it as my main spec.

I'm playing on fast, because I'm running a pure warrior build and need to constantly switch targets very fast and very often due to the lack of multi-target skills apart from War Wind. Maybe I'll man up for very fast later, once I get better at raping my mouse.

I have over 100 hours on it.
Waiting for more mods. Something to make it worth going through again.

>tfw 70% avoid projectiles Haruspex

I can farm the Gorgon bosses on Legendary with xmax+ (15 of those fuckers) without dying, so archers aren't a real problem anymore.

is Conquerer (warfare/defense) good through the whole game? i'm early enough in the game that it wouldn't be a big pain to restart and pick different masteries, but I don't want to get 90% of the way through and hit a wall

Is multiplayer still active? I need to join 3 other people and cast some shit on them to get some cheevos, but I'm too much of a beta pussy to actually try playing with other people. What should I expect in case I finally stop being a little bitch and try multiplayer?

I'm playing this for the first time and I'm just speccing in fire magic so far, the flame weapon buff/flame AOE self buff and some ranged fireballs and shit. About 2 hours in and most mobs are dying in one or two shots, but I feel like my build likely sucks dick and I'm gonna get fucked later on by a difficulty spike.

>kill telkine in act 1
>think game is over
>go to egypt
>realise I have 3 more acts of slogging through literally hundreds of archers per area

Seriously could it have hurt to put atleast SOME variety or reason to make areas so big and full of enemies? Literally no reason to explore

You can literally steamroll through the whole game with a pure warfare character by simply running into the fattest stacks of enemies and autoattacking all day, apart from that one neanderthal boss in the oriental act who can one-shot you even with 3k HP via his ice avalanche ability that does retarded damage.

Warfare/Defense would be even more powerful.

When you get further along and are dying almost instantly, you'll know that you've fucked up. Otherwise, your build should be fine. I'd recommend either a heal or some form of defense though, maybe a summon.

Thanks for the advice, I'll pick something like that up and see how it goes.

Which subclass did you choose? Going defense or dream will be good for survival. Also earth+defense has great name - JUGGERNAUT.

Warfare/Defense is solid, it's your typical warrior build in any RPG.

I'd recommend trying Hunting Master/Defense for another playthrough, spears are very nice.

Is this better than Grim Dawn?

>does retarded damage
it's always a one hit kill

>is dream cancer or what?
2easy4everything
All the skills have great synergy with everything else.

Thank god it's time for another late night Titan Quest thread. I'm playing it safe like Diablo 2, putting just 1 point into skills that I think I need, all except summon wolves which I dumped 7 into just barely to get 2 wolves. I was pretty worried about fucking up stat distribution so I got up to around level 12 or so without using any stat points. I also don't have my second mastery so I have no idea how to do any of this shit. I just want to make sure my summons fuck shit up throughout the later acts and difficulties. I keep hearing about the Earth elemental, the Lich and Dream tree. Any suggestions? Or pure nature?

Titan Quest and Grim Dawn have the same developers. Grim Dawn is influenced heavily by Titan Quest.

Yes. GD polished the wrong things and ignored what's to improve.

Go Dream.

Dream has a later ability that boosts your summon damage and allows you to summon a familiar or whatever it's called.

good to know, played a lot of D&D back in the day so now I'm always worried that non-spellcasting will scale really badly at higher levels

I know, that's why I asked

I have no idea, I'm a pyromancer is what it says on the character screen, and Earth mastery is what it says where I spend my ability points.

>play pure warfare character
>steamroll through the game like it's fucking nothing on normal
>2.5k HP, retarded regen, nobody can even scratch me
>"Oh yes, I'm going to get that Hardcore Normal achievement really easy!"
>reach the neanderthal fuck and try to steamroll him like every other boss
>get instakilled literally 3 seconds into the fight

T-thanks, THQ.

don't worry warfare+defense is the easiest combo for starters.

the original titan quest is the superior version

Seems like you forgot to choose a second mastery or sub level 9 yet.

titancalc.com/

Do pets and summons generally benefit from elemental damage or vitality damage? Or should I favor pet gear that adds physical damage?

no

Looks like the contrarians are starting to pop up already.

Just the very fast function is enough to make AE better.

its not so bad, really. If you concentrate on summon they are so strong they can handle fucking up once in a while

Only ''hard'' parts are end of act 3 and act 4 on normal.

>pure x
why? a second class is always better.
>retarded regen
it's pretty useless unless they heavily buffed it on the new version
>instakilled
get high stun resistance

gitgud
/tred

i remember trying to do dual wield a few years ago and kept getting my ass handed to me later in the game, gonna try again with the anniversary version, but is dual wielding weapons viable? also i hate using magic and would prefer passive abilities over casting shit

I beat normal and epic difficulty a few years back. Installed the anniversary edition when it came out because it's been a while since I did an ARPG.

Couldn't get into it again. As I had already beaten two of its difficulties it just wasn't all that interesting. I would've kept going with it, but no borderless fullscreen sucked since alt-tabbing in the game is so downright bad. Could've gotten a third party program, but instead went hunting for another ARPG to play.

It did cause me to play Grim Dawn as a result of it though, so that's cool. I had the game sitting in my Steam library since it was kickstarted without playing it, never got around to it until then. Didn't even need the borderless fullscreen in it since I was actually enjoying myself.

POST BUILDS

I love poison

titancalc.com/TitanCalc.asp?mastery=Dreamkiller&master1=6&master2=9&sa=0&m1=32-0-0-12-0-6-8-0-0-0-0-0-1-0-12-0-1-0-8-0-0&m2=32-0-0-0-0-8-12-6-0-0-8-0-0-0-8-0-6-0-12-0-0

Ah yeah I'm not level 9 yet, thanks for the tips I'll probably grab defense when I get there.

Played till act 3, then dropped.
It's so fucking repetitive and boring holy shit.

Is this your first arpg?

You're doing it wrong.

The whole point of ARPGs is building characters and getting dank loot.

>get high stun resistance
It's not about getting stunned, I was instakilled even while I was wailing at that boss. As that one other user said, it's most likely a simple instakill move that just kills you no matter your HP and I was too retarded to try and dodge, since I thought that 2.5k HP was enough to tank any 1 hit in the game.

Dual wielding is easy mode. Once you get some charms and find some good sabers, you start mowing down entire stacks of enemies with a single war wind maneuver and your DPS is so high, you will chew through any boss in seconds.

I lucked into three Sabertooths with a melee strength build and absolutely tore apart everything I fought with dual wielding.

>tfw Rogue/Hunter
>ripping through plebs with crits, poison damage, and bleeding damage thanks to dank spears.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE

>play Spellbreaker
>get literally nothing but good magic gear and spears

boy i'd love to have a fucking weapon i can actually use instead of vendor shit

you can easily dodge the insta kill when you are not stunned

Played vanilla with a conquer and felt underpowered all the way through.
Played a pure summoner with Underlord and got my ass handed to me so this time I went with easy mode.

Haven't played in a while because not at home for a month though.

>conquer and felt underpowered
you did something really wrong

Tell me about it. Playing conqueror I found so many blue spears, staves and mage armor it's not even funny.

What's best combo and why is it Rogue/Hunter?

>Traps all day.
>Luring retarded mobs into my decoy.
>Watch as they get blown up by my decoy.
>My turret takes care of the stragglers.
>Can wreck mobs with the piercing damage debuff and extra bleeding damage from my bow.

>traps
>bleeding damage
no

Eh, maybe he couldn't find a good weapon. Conqeuror is probably the most reliant on weapons and shitty drops can definitely make it seem underpowered.

bump

What?

I said bleeding damage from my bow, you fucking dingdong.

>Rogue/Hunter
I have this really strange itch to play warfare/rogue and build the ultimate DPS machine.

It's fun.

Go spear for that awesome bleed damage and poison. It's the definition of glass cannon though.

It's one of the absolute best trees and works with everything.

It's only cancer if you don't like the idea of people using something good.

Most people who look up builds for the first time run with it because so many things say it's easy or the best.

I was doing fine but it took so long to clear mobs because I had no aoe it got tedious.
Then I've watched videos of some magic user just wreck everything with lightning in seconds.
I usually go with magic builds in those games and tried melee for the sake of variety. Turned out to be wrong.

I was thinking more of dual wielding very fast swords. Is such a build even viable?

>Conqeuror is probably the most reliant on weapons
it's the opposite really. you can go through xmax with out any farming apart from act 4 and some bosses.

both are shit skills

the shield skills have enough aoe

Now that the bonus damage on skills is physical damage instead of the old model of 'kinetic' damage, can it get converted to piercing if it's a melee attack? Just wondering if Dreamkiller is worth it now or not.

Every build is viable if you play it correctly.

Anniversary edition puts it close to equal with Grim Dawn because of game speed alone.

Grim Dawn has better skills, locations and enemies though but Titan Quest isn't a slog anymore thanks to game speed options.

Objectively false but that's because you can build yourself wrong and bad on purpose.

If you're trying to have a build that works then yes it will always be functional.

No.

The point of games is not bore the fuck out of you.
When does it get interesting? I already spent 20 hours into this crap.

Yeah, I'll make one.

Here

titancalc.com/TitanCalc.asp?mastery=Assassin&master1=6&master2=3&sa=0&m1=32-0-6-1-1-0-6-0-0-0-0-0-10-0-0-0-8-0-1-1-0-0&m2=32-6-1-8-6-8-4-5-6-0-4-8-6-3-0-1-0-3-6-3-0-0

After the first playthrough, not even joking. Second difficulty is better but if it's not even remotely interesting now it's not going to be good enough to be salvaged for you.

You need pet gears to boost pets.

That's what I meant. I have pet gear that adds elemental damage, vitality damage, and physical damage (separate gear), I want to know which one pets benefit from the most.

Is it even worth it to try and farm sets on Normal difficulty or should I just move on to the next difficulty?

titanquest.net/tq-forum/threads/29664-All-about-pet-damage

I really want to play this but Grim Dawn is not letting me.

Haruspex master race

Absolutely not.
Those blue sets are only good for new character boosting at best.

It's not worth farming anything before act 3 Telkine on epic desu.

How's the Paths mod?
Or should I just wait for soulvizier?

still playing it
was the best Diablo 2.5 there ever was

this is my first time playing this game and this genre in general

i choose spirit cus i like spooky skelletons and spend almost all my poinds on Strg

im on the second act and i think i do almost no damage while papa nito in my back is carring me around

did i fucked up?

>literally no reason to explore
xp and treasure?!

>playing mage
>spend almost all my poinds on Str
Dude, what?

what the fuck

why would you go strength for a caster

i dont use staffs
i use mases and slow heavy hiting weaponds

cus i like to hit things with big weaponds? did i fucked up that bad?

spirit is hybrid, not limited to mage at all

>tired of my melee build
>decide to go with just Nature as a build
>get to the cyclops at level 10
>had a long fight with him on my melee character
>my wolves absolutely shred him, dead in seconds
Nature is incredibly strong

Can unique items drop any time during your run or do they have specific drop rules?
Because I read on a wiki about other items that boost my nature skills, I was wondering the likelihood of them dropping for me during my run.

You just dump as many points as you can in int, only put some on hp/mp if you feel necessary. No point in going Str or Dex because you will need a large amount of those to be meaningful lategame, and those don't help summoners at all.

Man, then play a fucking Muscle wizard not a Summoner.

Blues can drop everywhere, depending on mob level
Purples only drop on Epic and higher.

Hey, I was a developer for this game.

I was responsible for the skill system, mainly Dream and Spirit.

enyone know enithing about lewd mod on aniversary edition?

Two more questions

1) Does the Briar Ward count as a pet?
2) Will Plague scale off dexterity?

I wanted to add an unarmed skill tree but we were short on time.

No, I didn't work on the Anniversary Edition.

does anyone wanna play this with me? always wanted to play a diablo-esqe game with a friend. im somewhat of a fan of the genre, played diablo 2 and 3, torchlight 1 and 2 but all single player, and it get a bit boring after a while.

im a pretty chill guy, we can talk about vidya, tv shows, movies, anime, even porn

im in aus if that matters.

so im doomed with my Str spirit build?
is not that i feel its shit right now, i can handle everithing and the thinks i cant handle i just run like a bitch while the lich king chease it

the problem is in lategame (im now in egypt) and ass i said i never play this kind of diablo style games before so thats why i asked abut if my build will work or is just doomed shit

Is Fire + Warfare a good combo? The Fire shield skill seems pretty neato for the flat damage reduction

I want to do something with Earth and summons.
Which one is better Earth+Spirit or Earth+Nature?
I don't want Earth+Dream because I've used Dream on another build already.

>im in aus if that matters.

>so im doomed with my Str spirit build?
no, if you can put enough point in dex, for some weapons/armor, you can make a char based on life damage, which requires farming, though.

also life damage is pretty much the only really viable damage type, which gets boosted by int, that goes with strength chars.

ritualist is more active, soothsayer has better pets

second paragraph meant for

But I'm talking about Summoner or Conjurer.
Earth is a must.

Doing Nature + Storm summon based, wondering if i should put my excedent points in Squall ( for aoe dmg/miss/lower resist) or Plague (single player slow, lower resist)

You may want to consider plague for aggro. Be prepared to get enough Dex to wear +DA equips.

I had to do that too. Was running a plague build and guess what plague doesnt do shit to him. Takes ages to cheese him too cause he keeps walking just out of range ever 15 seconds.

Are there any skills that can remove aggro?

Jesus stop
Just stop
Please

>that disgusting ass
why

>I Can't Stop Getting My Ass Penetrated by Archers

CtAP is your best, most wonderful friend. Use relics if you need to while farming for dem phat purpz

Buddhasan is right but I always feel like that if I don't minmax I'm just wasting my time since I won't be able to do jackshit in higher difficulties.

That's why you play the game multiple times.

>dragonians
Why the fuck are these things insanely strong

Four levels ahead of you

Thank God for the "Faster" option. Just beat Act III after 16/17 hours gameplay and it STILL felt like a slog

Could they get rid of the infamous rubber banding ?

They're not all four levels ahead, half of them are my level and STILL insanely strong

The bosses in this game are fucking whimps compared to the common enemies, I died seven times trying to walk through olympus

what?

>pick Earth+Defense to be an unstoppable tank
>discover 10 hours into the game that pure caster spam is more fun than autoattack clicking
Tank caster is viable, right? Seems most Juggernaut builds focus entirely on Defense skills while only using Earth's aura and shield.

>playing ternion spamming bad ass
>get to Act 3 with no deaths
>remember game is boring and start playing PoE

My biggest gripe with TQ is nothing in the game feels weighty, D2 was always about stomping niggas and throwing down frozen orbs so it never felt boring.

Your natural resistances on Epic/Legendary are -40%/-100%

>wanting to punch a ghost

lmao
Get Harpy Scrolls

>locations

The whole setting of TQ is so much better and unique since every other ARPG is trying to do the grimdark/diablo thing

>Reach end of act 1 where you fight the Telkine
>He summons two lifesteal enemies

This is fucking ridiculous, if you're going to pull that kind of shit at least don't make every boss in the game an insufferable bullet sponge.

>game is boring
>starts playing even more boring game

Just dodge the meteors, man

Isn't Warfare for dualwielding though?
Hunter is very good for Bows/Spears

All ARPGs are about farming, what makes them fun is skills.

Skills are actually fun in PoE.

>nothing in the game feels weighty

Are we playing the same game? Because sending mobs to the moon feels pretty weighty to me

>playing dream EZ modo

>implying

Is there a class you can't smack mobs around?

When will this meme end?
They've nerfed the cap on avoid projectiles so you can't be a god anymore.
Fucking Hunting is more OP than Dream but people still give dream shit because of that one build.

I was going to pick Hunting and Dream, how OP is that?

They are doing piercing damage to you.

Get resist gear m'sir

Every area in TQ is open and spacious without much detail.

Grim Dawn has detailing in each area and has reasons to explore.
The latter alone is enough to put TQ behind it, simple as that.

Simply No.

Titan Quest is an orgasm for the eyes, a bright colorful trip through the great ages of the past.

Pyramids, Preators and Peking! come to life in front of you as you game to the max.

Grim Dawn is drab, epressing and has little color.

The latter alone is enough to put GD behind it, simple as that.

Except GD has the most horrible farming system I've ever seen in an arpg.

>see those chests? here is a blue item now fuck off until the next difficulty
>oh, so you've beaten that boss? Have fun running through the entire fuckhuge area to get shit drops from him because we don't want you to farm them
>Oh so you want to farm the REAL bosses? Please kill a million of those mobs first
>Ok, so you want the farm the real boss now? Run around in the area looking in one of the 10 spots the boss can spawn, assuming it even spawned at all :^)
>Oh you found out that the locked chest always spawns in the spined cove? Let't fix that, can't have you farm it
>Oh but we've added the blacksmith you can buy items from, but good luck walking for god know how long to get into his retarded castle.

I honestly feel sick just thinking about playing GD and farming for items again.

Fans of GD aka "supergamers" respond to you thusly (see attached pic)

i love this game to pieces but man that fucking swamp in act 4, fuck that place.

>orgasm for the eyes
>bright colorful trip

Where do you get your drugs?

>equipment gives me 109% life leech resistant
>anniversary edition limits resistances to 80%

life leech is irrelevant anyway

I gets me brain medicine from the national health I do

So how does Overgrowth work?
When does the Nympth cast it?

Rolling a druid for my first run, and holy fucking shit lvl 8 Plague literally rapes everything.

Also thank god the game allows you to relocate skill points. Is the wisp or the Dryad archer good summons worth getting? Because the wolfs sucked.

you'll see a buff icon by your portrait when its in effect

does she cast it on pets too or does "allies" in this case mean only players?

>Go to Pyramid
>Just long hallways that are empty
Nice, well done.

>Boring empty caves in greece
>Large open plains in act 1 and 3 with nothing in it
>Grind is so bad you can increase enemy count by 10x and it does fuck all
>Low polycount on everything
>Lighting is bland
If it's an orgasm for the eyes then you are taking too many cumshots in the face.

pets counts too. iirc from the changelog they also added sounds to signal when she casts it.

Where can I find the patch notes?

you have to google them, i can't link because Cred Forums considers the link to be spam.

Hey there it is

The nymph shields pets very rarely but she does shield them

I played the original and found it mind numbingly boring. I put about 20-30 hours in but I dont' even think I bothered to finish it after a certain point.

I don't have that much time brah

That's okay

It takes the palate of a sophisticated gamer such as myself to enjoy the full boquet of aromas that TQ offers.

The casual lacks the taste receptors for this and misses out flavors he is unable to conceive off.
