I have a 1200$ PC.
It runs everything at max at 60 fps.
Unless its horribly optimized.
I only have a 1080p monitor.
But at the distance my monitor is from me bigger ones would just be a burden on my neck.

Almost everyone I know has obscenely overpriced PCs and 90% of them play WoW or no games at all.
It's insane the prices people will pay to get slightly better shadows in certain games.

The whole thing looks blurry but tolerable when you stretch it to an average sized widescreen display with proper aspect ratio.
The biggest issue in general is the UI. Text is literally unreadable unless the game supports sixth gen tier xboxhueg letters.

I have similiar but with i5-4690k and SSD.
The pc itself was below 1000 euros and I run everything 60 easy and because I am not a fan of buying new aaa games every month I get very close to 144 fps in many games I really like.
