Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice

This little brat deserved all the humiliation she got in this game

This guy needed more screentime. I love his character design.

Is that Maya's kid with Phoenix

She's a lewd girl.

But she also deserves all our love!

So how much of Case 5 could've been avoided if Dhurke had just told Apollo and friends that he was dead, being channeled by Maya, was killed by Inga..

Ya know. In the original trilogy, I couldn't see them getting together. Now though, I almost desire it. Don't know what changed.

>No panties

How many countries has this series invented now?
>Khura'in
>Zheng-fa
>Borginia

On the contrary, she needs even more humiliation. I enjoyed her storming out of the first case acting like a child, but nothing ever quite topped that. Except the breast envy in the last trial and DLC

let it go...move on

Maya isn't a kid anymore and the fact that they've canonically been separate for the past few years makes them feel less like siblings. Which is why Apollo and Trucy will bang once Trucy smuggles herself into Khura'in again.

>Trucy smuggles herself into Khura'in in Edgeworth's suitcase
>yfw he didn't notice because she was hiding in her magic panties

What's the biggest ruse cruise in the series? Is it 6-5?

>"Adrian Andrews' older sister."
Reminder that the anime is irredeemable trash.

>that fucking seal stamping animation
>oh, and I'm just putting my stamp on execution orders here

are you fucking kidding me

It's funny because the fact that they went and CHANGED IT means the games canonically have her be what we always thought: gay as shit

Also Allebahst and Babahl.

I want Rayfa to badmouth me while stepping on my genitals on our honeymoon!

I really wish the localizer would get over used "h's" everywhere, it doesn't look natural

Sorry, can't have implied lesbianism.

Have some more homo instead.

Inga Karkhuul Haw'kohd Dis'nahm Bi'ahni Lawga Ormo Pohmpus Da'nit Ar'edi Iz Khura'in III

At least it has tits.

Yes it is. She's also riding Apollo.

If the Ace attorney anime has been Top 10 in ratings since the first episode, why do the games sell poorly?

>see this
What do?

I want to bully her.

I think it would be the other way around.

What do you mean? it's top kek.
I never thought they could make it any more gay than it is.

No, the worst part was when Edgey didn't make a random Objection when he noticed that Phoenix looked like he was about to cry bitch tears.

Does anyone have the EUR cia of the DLC?
I saw it on the last thread.

I give the dlc case a 8/10. fun conversations between the old characters and the case didn't drag on like some of the main cases in the game. Overall a lighthearted case that you can tell the developers had fun making. I did enjoy enjoy DDD dlc case more tho.

HE'S ALIVE
THE BEST CHARACTER IS ALIVE AND STILL WORKING

>main series finally gets a game that rivals the original trilogy in quality
>pirate it

So...the ending scene of The Rite of Turnabout actually happened and wasn't Phoenix's daydream?

After the Not Guilty verdict, an explosion happens, the real killer paints their face with war paint, runs away with the other rebels and all Maya does is say "Nick, while you're lost in thought: I got an awesome anime idea lol".

Then in Case 5 it turns out that this all actually happened and was presented in a very strange way. Why did Maya not say anything at ALL about this, and then say Nick was "lost in thought" WHILE SHIT EXPLODED AND REBELS BUSTED OUT THE KILLER.

Does it come after the last case or should it be played inbetween other cases like the obviously chopped of the main game DLC from AA5?

Hope he made an honest woman out of Maggey. Also hope he still has his hair since he's over 40

Because no one gave a fuck because she deserved to get away with it.
>thinking it was a daydream

after but its pretty much filler. It does spoil the ending of the game if you can infer from it.

The amount of gayness in the anime. I can't.

Untie her, call the cops and guard her till they arrive. Nothing more, nothing less.

>KILLER
Dude, it was a pregnant woman defending herself against a guy that was actually a crazed killer, and she didn't even mean to kill the guy.

The queen turns out to be a total milf as a prosecutor.

>has modestly sized breasts
>can't channel spirits
Spirituality faggot btfo'd

there's also Athena bullyig if you're into that kind of thing.

>you'll never lick her armpits while you're impregnating her
Why live?

I don't remember, when was that?

turns out tits are bad for spirituality, mia couldn't do it either

i wonder what morgan had under that robe

Serve her eggs

>mia couldn't do it either
nigga what the are you talking about

make her an all-american miso burger

>I wanted her to love me like a sister, Simon!

>Zheng-Fa
>Zhang-Fe(i)

mia couldn't channel spirits

Athena is stronk, I believe in her.

Mia could do it. It's mentioned that's how she found out about Grossberg betraying her mother.

>what morgan had under that robe
Oh man, I really didn't need that image in my mind.

Except it's said that before she left to become an attorney she was a powerful spirit medium

>Using the E.S.P. that runs in my family, I held an audience with the dead.

not the same as channelling someone - how the fuck would that work anyway, when someone is channelled the medium has no knowledge of what happened

>Except it's said that before she left to become an attorney she was a powerful spirit medium

[citation needed]

She gave it up and became a lawyer to avoid a Misty/Morgan situation with Maya.

>when someone is channelled the medium has no knowledge of what happened
As explained in SoJ, a master is aware of what happens, but I find it hard to believe Mia could be that powerful.

From Turnabout Sisters:

>Phoenix: So, Mia was into this stuff too?

>Maya: Of course! She left the mountain to "follow her career," she said. Her powers were first-class, too!

>Phoenix: (I...I had no idea.)

Reminder that Her Benevolence x Horn-Head is OTP, and if you disagree, then you are a nincompoop and should leave Cred Forums immediately.

>a master is aware of what happens
Kind of goes against what happened in T&T.

it hurts so fucking much.

What are you referring to specifically?

so the ending implies justice and magic panty are blood related right ?

Probably depends on your training.
Maya channelling Dahlia. But they constantly mention Maya not being able to remember things during channelling.

Probably that Misty channeled Dahlia so Pearl couldn't but she still tried to kill Maya and had to be killed by Godot.

In SoJ, they say that a master has complete control and can expel a spirit whenever they want.

Misty channeling Dahlia.

did you not play Apollo Justice?

Uh you could say that, yeah

It's another Saori Hayami ice bitch

i dont play shit game

i remember binge watch it on youtube to save me the trouble

Eh, I'll chalk that up to Dahlia being Dahlia. She wasn't a regular ghost, she was an evil spirit.

FUCK YOUR SISTER SON

A DRAGON NEVER YIELDS

>he skips games in the series

yfw
>Two victims

I dont see how they can reveal it in AA7 without making the audience groan.

If it's the climax, the audience knew for a decade, so we need another stupid tweeeest to one-up it.

If you don't play shit games, why did you play spirit of justice?

>A DRAGON NEVER YIELDS
Was this a metaphor for penis?

Sarge should be the Assistant in the next game

>Dhurke will never proudly be at Apollo's wedding to Trucy.
>He will never laugh out loud when Phoenix or Lamiroir drops the big reveal.

you are the highest degree of cancer

>skipping the best game in the series
You're a fucking retard, holy shit, end yourself.

I don't see why they're making such a big deal out of it.
>Oh hey you two are siblings

So Apolo and COD loli will be a pair right ?

To max out the cringe of ignorant characters pairing them.

Not even a lolifag but Sarge is best girl

Sarge was best girl back when Sarge was just an attack helicopter

They will never stop adding more backstory to Apollo and making a big deal out of it until Ace Attorney 29.

>All these characters with their parental backstories.
>We still don't know shit about Phoenix's famiy.

>save me the trouble
It didn't help you to pay attention either

do we really need to

i don't really want every single character to have a shitty family backstory that includes murder

...

He's an only child, at least that much is known.

hey son ....

>implying that'd stop anybody
Apollo x Trucy OTP!

i would pay for a phoenix wright game where you play as Ace Attorney Online's version of Gregory

...

Why only fuck his sister when he has a harem total of over 10+ members?

He needs to do all of them, for A DRAGON NEVER YIELDS.

Why didn't Phoenix Wright defend this guy ?

He didn't rape that girl

Because his sister happens to be best girl.

I'm on Case 5-1.

There's something off about Dhurke.

Is Maya using the same trick she used in 3-5?

The big reveal will be that he had a happy home life and a perfectly normal childhood.

Shit I mean I'm on case 6-5, what the fuck was that.

Leave. Now. Only spoilers await.

Dhurke just has anime cancer. It means he'll be perfectly fine until the end of the case where he dies tragically to make all the main characters cry.

don't bullshit people for reactions, user

Why lie on the internet

...

Yes you are absolutely correct. :)

I also saw it coming. The game was fairly predictable outside of the double death.

DGS2 will save the franchise.

...

franchise doesn't need saving except from cowards at Capcom USA/Europe

It doesn't need to be shitty. It just needs to exist.

I was in the same situation as you yesterday.
He'll be fine.

>buying games

AA is sexless except for Gumshoe and Byrde. they better pair them.

Not really, no.

Excuse me for trying to keep my favorite series alive in the west.

We don't even know what Phoenix does when he's off the clock. For the longest time, I thought he and Maya just lived in the office.

they don't?

They basically act like siblings already too. I almost don't care about that entire plot point anymore, I don't see how anything interesting can come out of it at this point.

Good. I don't know why the devs are so insistent on giving the player characters big melodramatic backstories, it's their jobs to help their clients with the big melodramatic problems they get mixed up in anyway so the player characters themselves don't need this shit.

At most, I'd tolerate them covering some stuff he did during his HoboNick years like him first meeting Athena abroad or some shit (Athena mentioned that he helped her out to some capacity, if I'm remembering this correctly)

This guy was great

As huge of a dick he was, he really did love his daughter. Plus you can't blame him for wanting to kill the Queen.

Maya is the head of her village now right? So why is she still dicking around with Phoenix on random cases like the DLC?

It wasn't an explosion, it was fircrackers.

What did she mean by this?

Nah.
Phoenix wakes up in his bedroom when Maya calls him and tells him to come to the office in 1-3.

Why not? We got everyone else's in his life and he doesn't need to follow their beats with it.

Why assume it has to be melodramatic. After all this time, it could just be very mundane.

Where the hell does Maya stay?

Nobody can tell her what to do now.

If AAI3 ever happens then Hobo Phoenix is pretty much guaranteed to play some sort of role in it. Phoenix loses his badge shortly after AAI2's ending I think.

I want to adopt___ Armie

I will protect Sarge! That is my duty as a soldier!

Damn straight, Private Ah'nohn.

Being the boss means she can make her own rules. Besides, Kurain hasn't had a proper master since Misty left nearly 30 years ago. They do just fine without her.

>he really did love his daughter
This was kind of surprising.

Probably in Kurain Village.

We'll probably never see what happened during the 7 year gap.

>the team clearly wants to resolve Apollo's retarded backstory
>but they also have a bunch of other weird ideas like "revolution", "Phoenix in a foreign land" and having a teenage girl as a main character

They did a pretty good job tying it together, this was pretty much his T&T I guess

999 spoiled Inga's twist. Soon as I found the note I knew what was gonna happen with the seance.

The death and the old lady are the only 2 parts that shocked me in the final case

>Probably in Kurain Village.
Phoenix was surprised to learn how close Kurain Village was to "LA" in 2-2, I doubt Maya could've been coming and going every day for a year without him ever asking her about it.

I assume Maya stayed at Mia's place after the latter's death.

INGA JUST WANTED SPIRITUAL POWER TO SEE THE FACES

He also did some travelling with Edgeworth in Europe.

He went abroad and shit too. Trucy talks about him doing secret government work and shit (which is most likely her misinterpreting what he was doing to some degree, but he wasn't just playing poker the entire time)

unreadable tier:
your post

They said they wanted to introduce Apollo's father since AA5. I'm guessing they decided early on to have him this time, and partly built the rest of the setting around that.

>The topic of The Crystal of Ami Fey is immediately dropped the moment the orb is the Founders Orb
What if, they were one in the same
What if the founder's name is Ami Fey

They were stolen at different times in different countries

>edgeworth calling plumed punisher a ripoff os steel samurai in the asanine dlc.
my sides.

DD and SoJ Phoenix is such a letdown after AJ. AJ built up Phoenix as this amazing jaded badass who had all kinds of connections and did all kinds of shit

Then he loses all that with these 2 games.

The Crystal of Ami Fey doesn't exist. Besides, regardless of the name the point is it doesn't belong to Kurain Nixon.

AJ was just an outlier for his personality

he was researching a lot of the cases in 5 for like 7 years, and was witness in one of them, he wasn't his usual pulling shit out of his ass self because he was prepared for every eventuality

So is Japan just fine with kids living alone that young?

They were fine with leaving her alone and Dhurke apparently left Apollo there when he was like 10, didn't he?

It happens in the main game too

Same with Trucy if Phoenix didn't adopt her.

Yeah, I remember that. There were some ideas listed in the Punished Apollo concept art, like his dad having magic powers from Egypt or something. I'm glad they didn't go with that.

>almost no porn of her
This is the real crime.

Apollo lived in an orphanage

>Kurain Nixon

youtube.com/watch?v=hbNzlCdMbfY

It's okay. Apollo was probably taken in by some celebrity, just like everyone else he just happens to know.

Make Kurain great again.

If he was 14 when he was sent away, he would've met Amara when he was 10.

He's the first name under shit tier

He does the same thing in case 6-5

Athena indeed points out he was raised by a queen

Oh right, my mistake.
>metal jesus
>shit tier

Nigga get the FUCK outta here.

They're wrong. Rayfa is 14, Dhurke brought Apollo back to America right before he broke into the palace to free Amara which happened one year before Rayfa was born. Thus Apollo had to be 9 since he is 24 presently.

>No reveal that he wanted the power so he could for once in his life see Rayfa's face.

Also was anyone else disappointed that we didn't actually see Inga's kinder side to Rayfa when he was alive?

No. Athena raises this possibility at a time where she and Apollo were told by Dhurke that he had kidnapped Amara 23 years ago, not 15. Later on Dhurke admits he took Apollo back to the US specifically to avoid him living a life on the run since he was going to kidnap Amara.

I think Apollo stated that Dhurke left him in America 10 years before

Yes.

At the start of 6-5, what they say is "over 10 years"

Then again when they lived in the mountains they must already have been on the run as the fire in which everyone believed the Queen was killed by Dhurke happened when apollo was 1

That's the thing I want most that the game didn't provide. I wanted him further humanised. But they sort of fucked shit up by making him Kill Dhurke, but I suppose that was a necessity. Could have at least made it seem like it had to be done, or something.

Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 was fucking announced What the literal fuck!!

>shit tier
>Reus

I lolled.

Apollo doesn't remember anything about Amara so he had to have been brought back before she was kidnapped. He would've remembered who she was had he been still with Dhurke's family after her kidnapping since he'd have to be at least around 10 at the time.

I guess they weren't been actively looked for before Dhurke decided to kidnap Amara. I think it was Datz who said that Dhurke and his family used to live 'a quiet life in the mountains'.

I was fine with it. I think if you saw him being nice beforehand it would've lessened the impact of the safe combination and the letter in the bust.

Given later revelations, it's kinda weird for him to use Rayfa's birthday as a code

Proceed to release her, only to get caught red handed by her kidnapper, and then get shot three times.

You can still love your daughteru even if she isn't YOUR daughteru

Case in point.

Inga loved Rayfa more than Phoenix loves Trucy. Step your dad game up, Nick. And find her a mommy.

>die
>get channeled back to life
>first thing you see is your own dead body
>"Fuck all this I gotta go see muh son"

Dhurke is one hardcore motherfucker

>And make her a mommy.
Fixed

>Misty channeled Dahlia
Huh, she died? I thought she only get jailed.

He fucking intimidates his murderer from running away as his life ebbs from the three bullets in his chest, and gives him the spook of his life over the phone when both he "survived" and Maya "escaped"

Japanifornia

u wot

A dragon never yields

Nope, she had more chemistry with Barbed Head.

Has a first case EVER been good?

In case you forgot, Misty was channelling Dahlia, and as she was about to murder Maya, Godot murdered Dahlia even if it meant killing Misty

You should really finish T&T.
Hell, most games make it clear people in Japanifornia get the death sentence, except in certain circumstances.

ZAMASU

Arguably, the best case of Apollo Justice is the first case.

Banana Kai death in 6 hours

>See this

What do?

Do you guys think that since SoJ is out in the west now, they'll put their efforts into localizing DGs?

She was executed a little before 3-5.

pffffft no

Apollo Justice and Investigations 2.

Take a bottle of grape juice and drink some.

Apollo Justice

Next question

I did finish it, I just forgot because it's been a long time.

>a dragon yielding
>ever

So that bit about "a channeled person's memory starts off from when they died", does that fit with how Mia reacted in 1-2? Anyone go back to it and check?

>implies justice and magic panty are blood related right
>implies
Did you even play Apollo Justice? They flat out say in that game that both Apollo and Trucy are siblings
This isn't news, that was 2 games ago

>more spirit channeling bullshit

oh FUCK OFF

Aren't they on break this week?

you'll turn the fuck around, they actually did it right this time

Nah, but everyone knows they made it up for plot reasons. My headcanon is Mia bribed the Holy Mother into letting her keep her memories

...Fuck

t. Apollo. How the hell can you be an atheist when you've seen ghosts for yourself?

Mia seems to be able to observe things that go on when she's not being channeled. Might be because she has spiritual power too.

Localizing games isn't all that expensive. There are companies that localize much nichier games with as much, if not more so, text.

MOOOODS!

They're all just another suspect to me

Technically, the existence of an afterlife doesn't necessarily require the existence of supreme beings.

The problem was never with spirit channeling, but with the bullshit mysticism surrounding it. In SoJ the spiritual stuff is given clearly defined rules and a nonchalant attitude towards it, which makes it much easier to work with and opens up greater possibilities

Atheist just means he doesn't believe in gods.

It's because she can pause time to read all the evidence, just like the main characters.

SoJ had a good first case... at least I thought so

It's a shame Misty died. AA is really bad with killing off people's relatives and friends. DGS I'm looking at you.. I swear if Thalassa-Lamiroir dies in AA7 I'm gonna be fucking pissed.

6-5
>wants to spend time with Apollo as a family after all those years
>Apollo refuses
>"Oh, uh... okay, son."
>he was actually dead the whole time and probably regretted a lot that he didn't visit Apollo more

The more I think about how Dhurke felt about all that the sadder I get.

To be fair, Misty is the only character to die who has "appeared" in more than one game. Thalassa's probably safe.

>barefoot 12 year old loli with over-sized army helmet

Why you gotta do this to me Capcom?

Are they just never gonna bring GAA over

My dick is confused.

They have never killed a recurring character and they never will.

You think that's confusing?
>6-4
>didn't realize Kisegawa was a woman until Athena said "Ms. Kisegawa"
>she introduced herself as a courtesan
>she lives in one guy's mind along with another guy and a 5-year-old boy

...

>Kisegawa and Patches have been there for as long as he could remember
All the implications with that shit.

>Even says "I AM NOT A CROOK"

Anyone else want Sugimori to score another AA game? Not like Iwadare's been bad for the past two but I feel like there's still nothing that's surpassed the Objection and Cornered themes from the first game.

Apollo's objection theme is better than Phoenix's original

Just started playing Ace Attorney Investigations. Is it just me or is it fucking hard to read the text boxes in Edgeworth's office?

When is this said?

shit i didn't even notice that.

Honestly, I do. The first game had some pretty good music to fit the mood of the game. When you're Cross Examining someone it had a feeling of everything piling on top of you. It felt like you didn't know what you were doing and were just guessing. It felt serious.

It just felt like everything was against you while you were going through each statement, hoping you can press something out of the witness. It worked really well for 1-4.

The other themes never really had a feel like, they had a feeling of running out of time or trying to work out a mystery in what people were saying.

>spirit gets summoned in 6-3
>he has Maya's hair
>spirits gets summoned multiple times in 6-5
>they all have their normal hair

Nice contradiction, Capcom.

Apollo's is a good character theme but it doesn't feel as much like a "found a contradiction, take that asshole" song

Dhurk's and Maya's hair are similar
But I guess there's no excuse for Amara channelling Dhurk. Maybe it's a wig.

>Spirit gets summoned in 6-4
>Takes off kimono
>Puts it back on when leaving
Fuck you spirit give me a topless Maya

In Inga's bedroom there's some hairdye.

Dhurke obviously styled Maya's hair like his own after the fact.

The real contradiction is Amara summoning Dhurke after exorcising him from Maya. Unless she carries a Dhurke wig around for just this opportunity.

Or she was using L'belle's hair color from Inga's quarters. It washes out, doesn't it?

Today I was a fool

Go back a couple of threads.

I want to fuck Kisegawa

I don't treat these threads like a general, unfortunately

but he never had an opportunity to put it back, you're saying he had another one on him and it was confiscated during interrogation?

I like the idea that he saw his hair and realized what was happening though

Oh shit you're right.

That's pretty gay. It's still a dude user.

Hang on a sec, would a female personality in a male body make that personality transgender or transsexual or some shit like that?

ok, but isn't her hair longer than Dhurk's?

Or amara could've dyed her hair before channeling him

oh because she had to channel inga first, I got it now

Amara often posed as Ga'ran in order to channel people for the neighbour nations, so she had to dye her hair black in those situations anyway

transgender I think
I'm not really up to date with the lingo
MPD can often have cases where one or more personalities doesn't match the sex of the person (that is, if MPD is real and not a cry for help)

You're forgetting the other two personalities. You're technically in an foursome in this case.

Nope, Dhurke has pretty long hair too

Yeah, I know, but not as long as Amara's right?
And what about Inga? he has short hair

>watch Rayfa's dance
>only wishing the camera looked up her skirt a little
>see Garan's prosecutor form
>only wishing that her animations had some jiggle

I didn't ask to be this way

Ga'ran
Cannot
Channel Spirits
She has no claim on the throne

I found you. FAKER.

Inga has long hair. It's tied up in a ponytail.

Inga has a ponytail

>Kisegawa passes out after sex
>Owen comes out

Inga has a ponytail

could've been easily been hidden beneath his cape, also I'm almost positive he had a pony tail.

NEW GAME ANNOUNCED
youtube.com/watch?v=Nt1s2DhNp3I

Oh ok.
Didn't notice this.

I'm surprised this hair thing didn't come up in the trial, considering they left an explanation. Cool how Apollo/Athena have dialogue for the spray though.

As a matter of fact, Since Amara performed the channeling at 2pm for the foreign king, her hair was already dyed for channeling both Inga and then Dhurke.

So what happens during climax? Do all three cum separately or does each personality feel the other two's climax as well?

Then how do you explain Maya's hair being perfectly styled if she passed out right after going into the tomb?

Ancient Kurain Village secret

Amara most likely styled Maya's hair

Did we actually see Maya in the tomb after Dhurke rescued her? I thought she was rescued off-screen and sent straight to the infirmary.

I guess Amara would know how from Nayna occasionally seeing Maya such as during 6-3's trial

spirit magic :^)

Yeah, she's says she's exhausted then collapses

People keep saying the game pushes Apollo and Trucy, but besides 6-2 and Dhurke's comments, what is there?

You see a shot of her standing up, saying "..." and then collapsing.

This is also the firs time Apollo meets Maya, which feels really weird since I imagined they met each other beforehand at least once.

Do I care?

You've covered it.
Shippers are insane and rabid, you should know this.

If you recall, Amara used the Magatama of Parting to force Dhurke out of Maya, dressing her back afterwards. It was even commented by Apollo how prepared Amara was if she brought Maya's clothes, so it's likely she styled it too to make it look like she was untouched.

Well it was mentioned that Maya had been in Khura'in for 2 years, so she was over there during AA4 and 5

They hung out a lot during 6-5 part 1 though :^)

Where were you when Maya was confirmed no-bra?

I thought for sure they would have too, but she's been away training in Khura'in for two years so she must have left before or right after Apollo came to the Wright Anything Angency.

>Kisegawa not top tier
>Betty in third place
>Reus in shit tier

Huh, they kept it just vague enough.

>mfw about to start the trial for Case 5

Please tell me this is going to be as hype as I am imagining it

Leave before you get spoiled that Nayna is actually Rayfa from the future

>Guitars Serenade
>Fire. Burn my love away. All away

Is it a coincidence

Is Thalassa the most tragic character in the series

Why is every prosecutor in this world so fucking tsundere

>died in an accident on stage

>actually brought his baby to a friend's house and was killed for being in the way of an assassination attempt

Where do you rank Ghost Trick in relation to AA?

GT>>>>>>>>AA

She's a cunt, fuck her.
She's the last Gramarye that needs to be erased before the suffering curse on Trucy ends.

I don't get why she left after Jove's death. Was she just told the baby died too?

>tsundere
yeah, mate, sure.

The country was in an uproar due to the assassination attempt and I think they mentioned how getting help for an investigation was going to be difficult. So I think it was a mix of that and thinking her baby died so she just left.

Cool, can't wait to not play this one as well.

Does anyone have the comic where Phoenix tells Apollo and Trucy they're siblings on their wedding day?

Someone did say something to that effect, that she "must have thought" he died. But... How did she not find out otherwise? Dhurke didn't immedietly go on the run, he went to his trial. Where was Apollo during that time? It does just sound like she barely looked.

Nice, how did you like the first one?

Won't know until Capcom localizes it or we get a fan translation.

>"Hmph. I didn't do it for you, I did it for the sake of my favorite soba shop!"
Come on dude. It's not like you've done even crazier shit for the sake of the very same person before.

You can easily find subbed playthroughs on Youtube.

So, was that basically a conclusion of AJ trilogy? His story seems pretty much done, and he had a lot of character growth during GS4-7.

Is that the time to wait for Athena trilogy?

How long is case 5? I've just started it and dunno if I should play through it since it's almost midnight. I might get hooked and stay up all night.

playthroughs =/= actually playing

go to sleep it's long as fuck

Long as fuck

Is it longer than 3? It took me forever to finish that one.

Considering Phoenix's story is done and he still gets shoved in these games, we haven't seen the last of Horn Head

The trial isn't that long, but the "investigation" is pretty long.

It took me like 10 seconds of reading that before I realized you weren't talking about rice wine.

Long enough that I don't know why they didn't split case 5 into 2 different cases, especially since they split cases 4 and 5 of Dual Destines

Well the series are actually called Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. I don't think he'll ever retire.

>rice wine
It's saké, you illiterate mongrel.

I also fucked up a verb("you've done"/you haven't done)

It's called that in America, not in nipland

That seems likely. Apollo will probably pop in from time to time, though; hopefully in a badass manner at the last minute like Edgey or Franziska.

>lose 6-5 first trial
>"That creep took the Founder's Orb, the flames of revolution were snuffed out, and we all went back to our normal lives."
>"As for me and Mr. Wright's relationship, awkward doesn't really cover it. It was never really the same."

kek, especially when you consider Maya's actual whereabouts then

It's as long as MY EXTRATERRITORIAL RIGHTS ARE TOO POWERFUL TO LET THIS GAME END

>There will never be a crossover game where Lynne is the victim, detective and witness

The final Insight felt a lot like the last level of Ghost Trick, because of the whole "going way back all those years ago to see how it all began" thing. I guess thats sort of a common element in Ace Attorney, but not quite the way it was done here.

Pic related or Missile?

Why is this even a question?

What would happen if Maya channeled Sissel?

I'm kinda hoping Klavier's there for the reveal that THE Lamiroir is Apollo and Trucy's mother, it would be fucking hilarious seeing his reaction.

He DID get her back into their lives, unintentionally.

I'm saying take what you can get since you live in N/A.

I'm sorry, but after 4-3, hearing Klavier's theme makes me want to throw my 3DS through a window.

Imagine the world we'd have if they gave Apollo another sister.

> since you live in N/A.
But I don't.

Anyway, you're right, not like we have a choice.

I want an AAI3 Where Nick and Edgeworth are investigating shit in europe

Phoenix has a daughterfu already, fuck off Trucy

That would be like a dream come true. But they'll naver actually make it.

Damon Gant

Phoenix has way to many daughterfu in his harem office.

Nick, Edgey and Ema investigating shit. Young Blackquill would have a cameo, along with Franzy and Gummy

>Trucy was raised by her biological father until like 7 years old
>Wastes no time calling Phoenix "daddy" and treating him like her real father.

>Apollo didn't even know his biological dad, was raised by Dhurke from as long as he can remember and treated equal to his biological son
>I guess you kind of care about me Dhurke

What is Apollo's problem

The adventures of kid Trucy and her two totally platonic best friend dads in Europe when

Is Weebquill the tallest character in the series?

Apollo is a cynical cunt and Trucy's not

Not everyone can be the best girl

probably that whole "left him in the states for 10+ years" thing

Oh no, why would you do that?

Now I'll fantasize about it, and it'll never happen in real life.

How is she in that DLC minisode thing anyway? Her bit in AA6's maingame was sorta brief and inconsequential really.

...

Apollo's gotten bitter from of all the bullying he gets. Also Dhurke didn't visit him in over 10 years

I can't get over how short some of these characters are. I get they're all supposed to be Japanese but they seem too short.

He isn't fine.

She's basically the main character, but its only 20 minutes long. There are about 3 testimonies, she and Alhbi are doing them. It ends with her Becoming the princess of Khura'in

She pretends to be Rayfa to distract a terrorist.

Phoenix bluffs so successfully that she gets crowned queen of Khura'in

We also learn she's 4'7 and very sensitive about her height

Dhurke did kind of ship kid Apollo off to the US for over 10 years, who spent all that time waiting for him to come back and get him.

I'm not surprised he's a little salty.

I wish the family part had been played a bit more. Apollo calling Dhurke dad and Nahyuta his brother would've been emotional. I half-expected him to try calling Rayfa his sister only for her to get embarrassed.

I kinda wonder where Dhurke sent Apollo to in US. Did he ship off to an orphanage? Distant relatives?Kristoph?

Even when he was a kid, he still didn't call him dad

>5' 5"
Apollo is super short, even by Japanese standards. He's only an inch taller than Athena.

Amara's tomb should for now on be known as Dhurke's tomb. I mean, the body is already in there.

>first case you're in Khura'in
>second case you're Apollo
>third case you're still in Khura'in
>fourth case Blackquill is your only friend
>fifth case you're still Apollo
>switches to Phoenix
>finally I can see Apollo's profile
>nigga is only 24

I thought he would 27 for some reason, around Ema and Maya's age. How old was Phoenix at the start of the trilogy?

*would be

Sounds cute

24

22 or 23

Yeah I was basically thinking about AJ. While looking up DGS stuff PW's ancestor is only 5'6." But upon re-inspection most people are close to the 6' mark.

Seeing these threads, it seems to me a lot of people here did not find cases 1 and 2 good.

I thought all the cases were cool and even 4 wasn't bad thanks to Prosecutor Weeb.

What didn't you like about cases 1/2?

Case one was decent
I though case 2 was great

Dunno about the rest of the people here but I loved case 2.

I never woould have guessed Apollo is that old. He looks like a teenager

I thought Heavy Metal Jesus was great.

The only case I didn't really like was 4, because it felt like it was thrown in at the last minute to give Athena something to do, and it was braindead easy like a Dual Destinies case.

Case 1 was pretty standard Case 1 fare

Cases 2&3 are my favorite cases in the game.

PLAY IT AGAIN

...

The closest you've gotten to correct opinions so far.

>2-4 better than 3-5

Opinion discarded

Pretty much what my list looks like, though personally I would put Revolution in Elder God tier.

The 4th case was character development for Athena. It showed how relying too much on Phoenix and Apollo's help prevented her from growing up as a lawyer to the point that she isn't even able to win a "simple" one alone.
If she becomes relevant in the next game, I think that this case will turn out to be one of those that in retrospective weren't "useless" after all, because it was a good basis for her character to start from.

All this talk of AAI 2 makes me think I should finally get around to playing it.

It's genuinely the best AA game. Do it, faget.

>Athena's story was resolved in 5.
>She got the only filler case in 6 just so she'd have something to do.

Why did they even bother introducing her before Apollo's arc was done? I like her character but I don't think they're smart about how they included her

You really should, it's pretty great

You better finish it before someone spoils that Shields kills Kay in the 4th case.

Do it dude, the fan translation is pretty much Capcom level

Ray is the mastermind

To have some continuity? The same damn reason case 2 is in the game

It's playable via emulator only, right?

If you have a flashcart you can also play it on your DS.

I loved case 2. Then again, I am a huge Trucy fanboy and I'd been waiting for this exact case concept since AA4.

It was a nice breather after all the fucked up shit in the previous two cases and before the big shitstorm of 6-5. My only complaint is that it was too short.

okay so
where the fuck did kay live in aai games? she was 17 without parents

She pleasured old men for money.

Is anyone else watching the Let's Dub of AAI on youtube? It's pretty good and the voice actor they got for Edgeworth is perfect

I don't know why you'd want to watch someone play through a visual novel like some bastardized audiobook.

>DLC Case
>All that banter between Phoenix and Edgeworth
>Judge literally accepting the "Power of Love" as a reasonable train of logic
>Sorin ACTUALLY took the shortcut through the hatch

All I wanted was for Apollo to call Dhurke dad!

Could've just inherited all of her parents belongings or some shit (she has her dad''s Little Thief after all). I doubt Badd would just let her fall into poverty or some shit.

The voices are pretty good. I'm liking Kay and Lang's voices a lot more than I thought I would from the previews

Adding voices can help bring some life to a game you've already played. Plus, there's some occasional edits and adlibbed lines, so it's more of its own unique experience than just playing the game yourself. It is more like a newgame+ kind of thing though

Or Yomiel

>Nahyuta chanting "A DRAGON NEVER YIELDS"

2-4 wasn't that much better. there is no real need of a tier above "god-tier", which is already pushing it by a lot.

>Did he ship off to an orphanage?
Going by Apollo's backstory in DD, this seems likely.

It's just my personal tier list, but I think there should be a tier for your absolute favourite case in the series for this. It's also a standard you can hold everything else to.

6-5 has to be at least equal to 2-4 in my eyes now.

>Objection!
had to close the video what the fuck is this

I'll let it sit for a bit, I loved it as well but that goes for everything in god tier, too.

>the best cases in the series now all involve Phoenix losing a case
really makes you think

I'm mad that Apollo's wasn't voiced

The first case of episode 5 wasn't that good

i don't see him losing in 3-5 or aai2-5, which are the best cases

This song and the part where it plays and the circumstances surrounding it were creepy as fuck.

youtube.com/watch?v=d7jv1ticnf0

To be fair, the only reason phoenix loses a case is because his magic lie detector failed or he was literally held ransom for it

when the truth is on his side, he gets to it

She's such a cutie, Jesus.

>two god tier new characters
>a god tier defendant
>Apollo vs. Phoenix
>an actual original concept

I wouldn't vote for you, user

TWO
VICTIMS

here's the deal
>i don't have a 3ds
now do i
>try to emulate somehow
>watch gameplay from youtube

Part of me was terrified that the game was going to pull a fast one and the photo was actually Maya in the tomb. I would've lost my shit.

Hot opinions coming through

pretty much the exact same list as i'd put out desu

>The big reveal of 6-5
>With this music playing youtube.com/watch?v=ZeYS3REQfJU
Jesus christ this is honestly the first time the series has made me tear up

I always liked that you put in the victims like that

MAKE KURAIN GREAT AGAIN

Some people love Turnabout Samurai but I think it was, indeed, pretty bad.

>tfw waiting to play 5 and 6 on citra

this kinda makes me wanna see a single picture with all the victims in the series without the tiers, would be cool

>Not having a 3DS
>On CURRENT YEAR

Bruh.

Samurai has problems (most of all that there's too many fairly useless side characters filling up the investigation, which is a bit of a mess), but it does have a fantastic second court day and an interesting murderer/murder method/motive. It also is the actual case Edgeworth has a change of heart.

I want to serve on the battlefield of love with Sarge!

Do you think love can bloom on the battlefield?

I thought it was amazing back when I first played it, but that was a long time ago and the kind of twists present throughout would be considered average by today's standards.

It triggers me that "Rise from the Ashes" doesn't have Turnabout in the name.

look at this polkunkan

Anyone else afraid of the eventual empty feeling once you're finished with the game, DLC and all?

I played the game on an emulator sped up about 2.5x so this case didn't bother me (also helped speed along the perceives)

Why exactly? It was the Lamiroir's shit song that was repeated, not the Klavier theme.

No way, I already experienced that when AA4/ AAI1 came out.

Despite the digital only stuff, we get (reasonably fast) translations nowadays.

>dat Phoenix as co-counsel in 6-5

Sure it kinda happened in 4-1 but it felt more proper here and he was great in the role

Don't worry user, they just announced a new Ace Attorney game!
I can't wait to play it! In five years. ;_;

so...
will those preorder cases come to overseas?
Also if there's anything I learned in this game is just more reinforcement for this: Fuck the Gramaryes they are all terrible people and Thalassa's nonexistence in the game aside from the end is stupid as shit.

At least Trucy has redeemed herself from the disaster that is AJ.

>In five years. ;_;

Dude, you're lucky if you are able to play the DGS1 in 5 years. Just forget that the sequel even exists user.

shes 14

The first one is already out. The second one comes out Thursday

...so what?

>T
>w
>o
victims

>At least Trucy has redeemed herself from the disaster that is AJ
She was okay in AJ, but DD really butchered her.

>Just forget that the sequel even exists user.

I know man. It probably won't even be good r-right? I don't need it.

>Datz hiding under the manhole cover
>Albhi walks over
>He pops out
>"Hey kid, wanna join our cause?"
My sides have ascended

I lost it when this happened

Good ol' "every Russian is a communist" meme.

If a personality is female, does that make her dick feminine?

>A 46 year old man throwing firecrackers at children and teenage girls

Datz is fucking elder god tier

dgs isn't even that good

It'll get the Investigations treatment. The second game will be amazing

considering she was playing a stereotype to start with it's not that bad

>Datz confesses on the witness stand he didn't even see anything

This guy.

Even if it isn't that good I still want to play it.
Only AA game I couldn't finish was AAI1.

I dunno why, but the one hearty laugh I got from this game was from when Apollo says something like "Why should we believe the testimony of a senile old man!" and it cuts to the judge's mad face. It's a simple joke but it had good timing.

t. Horn Head

I want to bully Rayfa's armpits!

With my penis!

It wasn't the stereotype, it was Datz popping up and her immediately going murder mode on him

woops, was meant for

Now that alternate dimensions are a thing, genderbent dimension when?

this a meme I'm missing out on or something? apollo doesn't hate rayfa, he encourages her to do the seance even if he's a little mean when pointing out the contradictions

complete turnabout is better

I just want to play as Edgeworth again.

oh god she's actually really cute without all that bullshit

I miss Punished Apollo

What a BLOON shame.

She does. I felt so bad for her at the end.

>geiru was just completely shit at everything
>then she got mad and murdered someone, ruining her life even more

geiru...had a hard life

>go from titty monster to perflat
A real turnabout.

Imagine Punished Apollo in 6-5

>"In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine in 2013, Takumi said that he'd love to make a crossover video game between Ghost Trick and his other series, Ace Attorney, speculating that Phoenix Wright could be killed, while his killer would be prosecuted by Sissel."

Although, who even knows if he's going to anymore.

They really should have made it a DLC costume.

>AA7 takes place 5-7 years later
>Apollo wears an Eyepatch and outfit similar to Dhurke

JUST

>yfw Ms. Inmee instantly going from grieving wife to full on allahu ackbar

Yeah?

nice synergy

i never realized how much DD Apollo looked like Dhurke - I also kind of expected some twist on who the father of Apollo was, considering they have the exact same eyebrows

Does anyone have a backup to the review of Phoenix Drive? I don't think I ever laughed harder at a review, and it was actually why I got into AA in the first place.

I said... the stiff was next to the stiff...

I thought she was going to fucking kill someone

Will Rayfa join Nick's daughter harem?

gotcha senpai

web.archive.org/web/20080529023355/http://www.finalturnabout.com/pdrive/

She's already on Horn Head's "third" horn

well, she already did

Unless they want to revamp how Dhurke/Jove knew eachother, there's not a lot of room. Jove was chilling in Kura'in with his wife, and was invited to the palace because Dhurke liked his music and hit it off with Jove and then Jove got caught up in the fire. There's not a lot of room for Dhurke to have fuck Lamiroir. The only other possibility is a baby swap

How did she get off scot-free for that anyways

My favourite line will always be pic related.

The whole game made me laugh a lot, I really enjoyed the writing for this game.

BLOON

By going full Aloha Snackbar

twist my shit up

...

She was a pregnant women who fought back in self-defense and was not even trying to kill her attacker.

The death was an accident, her only crime is being a rebel and perjury. They went through that convoluted mess because she wouldn't be able to prove anything because no lawyers exist to help her case.

Oh, no, I'm not expecting anything like that any more and the game wrapped that up nicely, it's just that I noticed their eyebrows and expressions were similar. Guess it's just a case of adopted behaviour, like Mia/Phoenix.

I keep having to think hard about the timeline of Apollo's youth, though. A lot of shit happened.

>get born
>father dies, mother loses track of him
>mother "dies", loses knowledge of him
>does (not) meet the queen (?)
>go to america for some reason at some point
>meet clay and have an awkward backstory for his catchphrase
>become a defense attorney not because of pic related but because of an foster father he never contacted at all and told no-one about for some reason
>have an evil mentor who he defeats
>go back to Khura'in

>implying anyone gets charged with perjury in this game series

BLOOOOON!

didn't Adrian? although that was tampering with the crime scene too

>and perjury
I don't recall she ever testified in court

this smile looks too much like his chin, I'll fix it in a second

>not because of pic related

meant to post this
