There is a part of it that's not sticky. See that black belt around it? Your character is holding the grenade around that belt.

Borderlands had some nice grenades.
Loved the AoE DoT ones in BL2, vampire ones were great, too.

Also, rifle grenades. I was a damn surgeon with one of those back in ET's heyday.

First Reave on many enemies, then lob these in, and watch them fly everywhere.

Vampire ones were OP. None could escape the swarm of white lights attacking them.

Thermal Imploders

I really liked the incendiary grenade in Halo3/ODST.

Borderlands is pretty awful, but I love those fucking teleporting grenades that split into multiple smaller ones.

The Air Fuel grenades in Resistance 2.

That game had amazing co-op and I miss it, wish the servers were still up.

Unfortunately it doesn't exist so we can assume some magic on the thrower's gloves. They had something similar in World War 2 with a handle though, but's anti tank and it's huge.
