This game had no business having such high quality music. It doesn't even seem like something you'd expect from a racing game.

I hate the way the instruments sound in those games.
This is probably the closest I'll get to a snooker thread on Cred Forums
god damn thats awesome
This game had seriously one of the most bitchin 8-bit soundtracks ever.
This game is creepy as fuck.
youtube.com
Sounds like something from Hotel Dusk.
oh fuck that's a blast of nostalgia
i need to replay diamond and pearl
Goddamn it sounds like something from Metroid Prime.
Top tier atmospheric ost coming through
Digital Pinball: Necronomicon had no fucking business having a soundtrack this awesome. It also had no fucking business being Japan-only.

Dat ending tho.
It's Tim Follin, one of the greatest chiptune composers of all time. Even other vidya composers during that time were jelly of his skills.
Most of his works are featured on terrible games.
Damn, that's some fucking jamming shit.
The C64 version is superior
youtube.com
Jeron Tel is awesome, he's still active I think.
youtube.com
this one is better
For you.
MASAKA!
Pretty much anything with Tim Follin
youtube.com
The whole soundtrack is great
youtube.com
Why did this game get such a good soundtrack?
This game is an absolute travesty but it has some really good songs
youtube.com
oh my god its like honey to my ears
guy is like a wizard or something
what in gods name is that?
...
Shit messed up the link
youtube.com

Not unusual but easely forgotten.
Ah, good old comic bakery
Underrated af game
Why is this so good
I knew i heard silver surfer vibes in that pictionary music.
This thread needs some Alberto José González:
The new transformers has the absolutely classic japanese / metal sound that was amazing in the 90's. It really feels like a super nintendo game.
Two battle themes.
youtube.com
and personal favorite
damn this guy is good with that gbc hardware
youtube.com
Does it count if it's from a good game?
youtube.com
not necessarily a video game but definitely related
basically when the dreamcast was out sega was so poor they had the marketing guy do the promotions himself
Move out of the way plebs, solstice coming through.
youtube.com
all these ocean licensed games have good ost's what the hell? but this doesnt sound like flintstones so I guess its no wonder it went unused, what a shame
So good
Love that turok ost.
youtube.com
>neo geo version didn't have this song as with real instruments
Fuck I was mad when I played it.
What instrument is the thing played before 0:25 anyways? Some sort of bell xylophone?
Did somebody mention Jeron Tel?
the mega drive version was pretty good. the balls used to make faces at you or flys started to buzz around if you idle too long
>Sunday night
>everyone's lounging in the living room, enjoying a quiet night
>dad kicks down front door and barges into room
>"WHO'S READY TO PLAY SOME FUCKING PICTIONARY?"
>"DAD NO-"
>sister's plea is cut off by a swift and brutal backhand to the face that sends her flying through the window and into the front yard- she doesn't get back up
>"PICTIONARY."
>dad slams game box on coffee table and stares at us like he's about to go on a killing spree
>we play pictionary for the rest of the night
Sunday nights always got a little crazy when dad was around.
youtube.com
This is such a perfect pastiche of early-2000s rock, I love it.
these give me fucking chills
youtube.com
Sound blast that shit.
It's just some simple mobile game but it had unexpectedly good music.

For a total shovelware game it sure has a catchy theme
Just in case anyone missed it, in OP's video go to the 3 minute mark, the track changes and gets even better.
It's just Pictionary.
FUCKING PICTIONARY
Why the fuck is it so intense?
because he aint gunna hold back for no one nigga.
Hi Leddit.
fuck OP you weren't kidding
Tim Follin. Same dude who did the music for Arcade's Revenge and Silver Surfer.
youtube.com
Hi faggot.
epic for the win
youtube.com
At least post something good, faggot. You aren't even trying.
I think the fallout 4 theme is unusually beautiful considering the game is so shit.
That second track is good.
I know that feel familia
The fuck? It sounds like a dope flying lotus melody..
I feel like I'm the only one who liked this game.
youtube.com
This is pretty groovy for fucking pictonary. I could see this OST fitting easily into an action game from the same era.
I think that you should kill yourself Dilbert.
Obligatory.
youtube.com
Man, me and my bud used to play this game all the time. Thanks for the nostalgia.
ocean software my dudes
Mystic Quests OST is fuckin' amazing, man.
youtube.com
I gotta real soft spot for it, it was my first Final Fantasy game.
super nintendo had such a good chip.
unfortunately this game brings back more ptsd than anything else so I cant enjoy that music.
...
youtube.com
This Hamtaro game is actually pretty comfy, a nice little hour long game with nice music and cute sprites.
OPL2 + Sound Blaster master race.
Objectively the best sound.

im sorry I cant hear you over this.
youtube.com
>the second song is so amazing. I absolutely love the chord progression of the weird sound in the background. I really complements the main melody
Balls to the wall.
Was Silver Surfer really a bad game? It just seems way too difficult.
I still don't understand this meme.

This game's soundtrack has no right being as good as it is
youtube.com
this shit always got me wired as fuck.
hug me.
All of FF13 trilogy soundtrack. A game that shit doesn't deserve Masashi's genious compositions
been groovin for 10 minutes straight.
Only idiots think FF13 is bad.
European composers. Most songs ITT are from European composers.
This game was actually really good, I played the shit out of it and no one seems to really know about it
it's basically zelda james bond though slightly more linear than zelda is
He even gets a sword (machete)
I heard this game was garbage.
>5:59-6:08
>another one bites the dust
It is but the OST is top tier
Holy shit, is this really SNES?
how is it garbage?
Yeah, SNES could use samples. That was the primary advantage it had over the Genesis soundwise.
Bland over world. Constantly walking through darkness. The only thing I give reckognition to the game is the amazing ost
Posting Tim Follin feels like cheating because his music is just too good for the kinds of games he usually worked on.
youtube.com
its quiet, but its great
toshiya yamanaka a best:

The best part about fighting Necrotaurs in this game was their kickass soundtrack.
That is some nice music.
I will never understand how someone as good as him only seemed to manage to land work for garbage shovelware.
Fuck off Dilbert. Ranch is better.
My favorite track was the one that played when you were platforming on those hexagonal things or whatever. I think it was stage 6 maybe? Never found a link to it online though.
Beat me to it. That fucking intro always got me.
Good choice but not the TRUE Neo Turf Masters patrician theme
Step back, niggas.
youtube.com
This game here is a solid contender for those |games only you played" threads.
>The Legend of Legacy
this is just about the second or third to worst name for a game I've ever heard.
music's nice though
This game had music that's been stuck in my head for years
youtube.com
For a simple space invaders remake, they went all out making some really jammin' tunes:
youtube.com
youtube.com
aw hell yeah, love the Black knight theme.
>You've got the power!
>MWA HA HA HA
>You've got the might!
>NO WAY!
>Get ready for battle!
>GIVE ME YOUR MONEY!
>Beat the black knight!
>HA HA HA HAH!
For anybody who wants to know the guitar work is done by John Petrucci.
I've seen this getting posted recently, and the song is a good one, brings back those Threads of Fate feelings. I liked the original Brave Fencer, I'll have to play this one eventually.
I have a feeling that Alundra 2 is also underrated and doesn't deserve the hate it gets. That game looks quite similar to Brave Fencer Musashi.
Is it time for some surprisingly good movie game soundtracks?
youtube.com
If this game ever goes on sale on Xbone I need to get it.
>The opening theme
Talk about a blast from the past
I still gets chills
It's a great-ass game, I picked it up for $30 back around January and I don't think that was a sale, it's probably even cheaper these days.
I wouldn't say it's on par with Bayonetta or something but if you dig those kinds of games (same dev) then it's worth getting at $30 easily and even if you aren't then it's worth at least trying at $20.
>youtube.com
A song this intense has no right being in a fucking typing tutor.
I can still hear the "HEVI RUFF"
Did somebody say Tim Follin?

This game's soundtrack has no right to be as good as it is
Actually, this game as a whole ad no right to be as good as it was
this is actually incredible. I remember Jurassic park was also made by ocean and had a great ost
If you like the Solstice theme but haven't heard the ocremix, your life is incomplete
but shonen stuff often has good tunes, as do musou games
it's only natural a combination of the two would likely have some goddamn bangers
That artwork is great. I really miss when the artists had to create their own interpretations of games for the cover art.
Most of the music in Metroid Prime Hunters was merely passable, and the single-player game itself is nothing special. But goddamn, I must have spent more than a hundred hours listening to this while waiting and chatting in lobbies, and I still like it. If that's not unusually good, I don't know what is.
>OCReMix
I forgot about that track
Holy shit
>I have some holdup about the group who hosts the music so I won't listen to an awesome track
Suit yourself.
>OCReMix
>Hosting anything awesome
I remember one time someone posted an insanely good main theme to some shovelware NES game. Wish I could remember the title because I would have posted it by now.
I mean, you basically just reiterated what I said. You've got a problm with ocremix itself, therefore nothing they host can be good. So, yeah, enjoy that kind of thinking lol.
There's an arcade near me that has that table, shit's dope
Last time I went I got the second highest score, #1 is like 10 million points ahead of mine though
Certainly wouldn't have anything to do with all of the songs I've ever heard that they've hosted being complete shit including what you posted, would it? Nah, couldn't be. I just have a hateboner for no reason, right?
>unusually good
>a Nintendo game having good music
>unusual
I probably was one of the few people who had this game as a kid. Never played it much but this track always stood out to me in the sound test.
Just finished playing through Hunters. Music was pretty good throughout it. Then again, I do like the DS soundchip. It's like almost clear sounding but still has that grindy "game" sound.
That certainly seems to be the case.
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
Here are some more good ones for you to try your hardest not to enjoy.
I'm still waiting for you to post something good that actually makes me want to listen to it over the original music. Instead, you're sending poorly-mixed and poorly-arranged piles of shit. That Mystic Cave Zone is the worst of the lot.
A group dedicated to the preservation of video game music? What a fucking joke.
youtube.com
Wands of Gamalon had no business having such a killer soundtrack
I played the shit out of this game as a kid and never realised how good the soundtrack was until it's in isolation
Fucking loved this track as a kid.
Sounds pretty fucking great for SNES
youtube.com
Motherfucking SimEarth for the SNES

I miss the Gameboy Color and Advance, so many neat hidden third-party gems all around and fantastic music.
Are GBC games pricey these days? I've seen so many fucking older games getting highballed on ebay that I don't know what to trust anymore besides yard sales and flea markets.
I really think that this is the most perfect remix ever. It realized what the original song was trying to be and remade it perfectly with real instruments.
>DS
>nostalgia

The game came out 10 years ago faggot. If he was 12 when it came out he would now be 22
Enter the Geckos music was pretty good too
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
youtube.com
2007 was almost a decade ago, the nostalgia you had for 1997 in 2007 was the same length of time
kys twice
The JP release for DP is 10 days short of a decade.
Let that sink in.
That sentiment is non applicable, the advancements in technology from 1997 to 2007, or 1987 to 1997 even more so, were much greater and profound than the advancements from 2007 to now.
You need to understand the concept of certain technology or media to be "unprecedented"
Imagine if the Star Trek Holodeck was released like, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, now. Your brain would shit everywhere at how incredible it was, because VR to that scale would have been completely unprecedented.
It's also a really good game with one of the best wall jumps in anything I've played
>Arkhamfags think a licensed Batman game being good is something new
Papa, Im coming home
youtube.com
>tfw had the gameboy version of ken griffey jr and can't find the music somewhere
it was some strange fucked up version but I loved it
>these kinds of people are allowed to post on Cred Forums
End it all.
his music is just show off bullshit most of the time.
i'd take konami or sunsoft any day over him
YOU DARE BRING CD-I TO MY THREAD?
YOU MUST DIE!
[shoots lightning from hands]
i,m going to kill myself on friday #wow #whoa
have you heard angry birds transformers?
youtube.com
the ds doesn't really have a sound chip, so quality really depends on the game
What the fuck
is this game worth the $40?
well, they got the guy who the transformers movie and rocky iv to compose it
but why
why not
always late to these but here ya go
youtube.com
Nostalgia isn't based on advancement of technology
It's more often based on what your life was like at the time you experienced that particular thing
>Music from the worst generation
>Lots of people here like it and think it's the best
I fucking hate this board sometimes.
>worst generation
He posted Gen 4's OST, not Gen 1's.
this sounds oddly melancholic like it would be from undertale or some shit
It's not based on technology but it does on how different the world was back then and since the world turned to shit in 2001 and it has been shit ever since i can't see how you could ever get nostalgia from 2007.
Although to be fair it did got shittier so maybe just a bit.
for a game that is literally a wii shovelware walking simulator, this has a song worthy of the "you groove you lose" title
>youtube.com
youtube.com
you're a faggot and no one can deny it
LOOK WHAT I GOOOOT
STANDING
OOOON THE EEEEDGE
OOOOF THE CRATER
Sounds like something straight out of Persona.
I felt so, yeah.
Nobody gives a shit past Gold Silver, posting otherwise means you're like 16.
Shit's good
Thought no one played this game, nostalgia'd hard as fuck.
>gen 4
>worst generation
You should kill yourself.
It did though. The entire idea behind having 3 versions of each song representing different emotions was fantastic.
Stephen Baysted is god.
DmC had a legit good soundtrack. It did well at getting your adrenaline up.
I didn't know the genesis could do anything besides "really shitty electric guitar"
youtube.com
It hurts that its so well done
alright, i have your attention
I actually preferred M.C. Kids over Mario as a kid.
Pictionary has no fucking business sounding this good.
wow people have different opinions from you
everybody is dumb but you
