That's less to do with her strength, and more to do with the fact that they don't want to risk hurting her. She is still just a baby after all.

There's more to it than that. Vegeta never learned HOW to fight, he was just naturally talented and tried to improve his own natural strength. He never learned fighting techniques from anyone, or trained under the guidance of a master. He only did physical training to improve the limits of his body.

Goku was a martial artist, who began at a much lower point of strength but was very clever and accepted training from anyone who had knowledge about fighting to offer him. It's that difference that always kept him ahead of Vegeta, and only now in Super when Vegeta's swallowed his pride and accepted Whis's training he's really starting to catch up to Goku.
