I honestly have zero issues with playing as a fem character. I've seen people in the past get worked up over something like Tomb Raider, asking if there was any mods to make her a man cause apparently it's wrong for guys to ever play fem characters. My response to that is don't buy a game with a fem lead and then bitch about it.

when it comes to games with choice it simply comes down to how I'm feeling and which one I think the story would be more interesting with. For example with Bioware games like Mass Effect I chose fem shep mainly cause I think she's the better version of shep and has the better voice performance. With games that have gender choice I typically choose whichever I feel fits the role better.

if it's something stupid like choosing gender in a pokemon game, for R/B and G/S/C I'd choose Red and whatever the boy in GSC's name was.
