True virtual reality would be world-changing, not just for games.

It's the future of porn

no

Why do you even care about porn when you can rent on the day thai girl for less than fucking $50

AIDS

Do you plan to live past 50?

Imagine playing the Wii with a wii-mote. Now imagine if you had the screen right infront of your eyes. There you go, VR.

porn is everyday and can be free
thai prostitutes are once in a while.

It is the future of gaming.

But today, it's the savior of Japan and downfall of the white single males.

I don't live in Thailand

I just wish in the future i could plug it to my wife somehow so i can pretend i'm fucking someone else

Convenience.

VR is a meme (with the current tech).

>They fell for the vr meme
>b-b-but my waifu!!!
>b-b-but my sim games!!!

...

Mouse was meme in the early 90s too

...

Hiya Ichigo hows that red headed wife treating ya

It's okay I guess. Haven't played mine in months.

It's pretty boring honestly. Not really more immersive than a standard monitor.

Hes getting robbed and he doesnt even know it.

Idiotic fad for bored tryhard richfags that will get laughed at in 10 years like Powerglove now.

Shit that hits close to home. You think shell get mad if i ask her to let me wear the vr goggles while we fuck?

No, it's a gimmick like all the ones that came before.

it is fucking impossible to look any dumber than that right there

...

Hookers cost money and may or may not give me STDs.
Plus I'd have to have a lot of money to do pay a hooker to do the shit my chinese cartoons do.

depends, does she let you experiment with positions and sex acts now?

Unless developers create uses for VR that add enough to the gameplay that warrant paying hundreds of dollars for, i don't see it catching on no matter how advanced it gets.

I was hoping the last few seconds would cut to a scene of him fucking a body pillow. What a humorless nerd.

The holo deck for porn is what they are really after and to get there they will destroy video gaming. And YOU will pay for it all.

VR is an inherently shitty gimmick

>a scene of him fucking a body pillow
I wish

still early days, not a single VR video game has been released yet (mini games don't count)

You have a very good taste in girls, OP.

...

>wanting to get robbed and killed in thailand

Simpletons actually believe this

Certainly. You'll have a blast though

It's the future of being a cute girl

Rec room and space pirate trainer are fun as fuck and one is free and the other one is 10 bucks.
Oculus 3d person games suck dick with a controller.

Is that Unity-chan?

Yes.
youtube.com/watch?v=7sJy0rL6lsI

Any rape mods?

That's not cute at all.

It's not the future of gaming, but it is the future of entertainment and will be a pretty huge part of gaming.

Give it a year or two though. We're close.

I rigged my phone to play Subnautica in VR. Even that simple, raw experience was a fucking blast. If you think it's a meme, you're blind. Literally.

I think it's gonna be real neat, that's for sure.

...

I wouldn't even ask how could you recognize her from that photo
Fucking creep

...

Hey look, here is another tween too poor to have actually tried it(cardboard shit phone vr don't count) and now is a salty expert on VR. I love kids today. They really are getting worse with each gen.

You should stop using that reply. It immediately lets everyone know you never tried it and don't know shit....kid.

>Whats VR like?

>Duh, hold your TV remote and stick your nose on your TV screen, that is just what VR is like.

And you wonder why the girls point and laugh at you in school.

Any good VR games to suggest? I'm emulating it through Riftcat so no VIVE control stuff.

For anyone curious, Assetto Corsa and Subnautica work perfectly in Riftcat.

>Cred Forums unironically likes psvr more than oculus/vive

This is immediate proof that all the VR shitposters have never actually used it

If you actually try all 3 psvr looks so much worse it's night and day

>all of girls are 20 years old +

Oculus is persona non grata since the Facebook buyout and the DRM débâcle.

They are also not real

He's looks like a gargoyle straight out of Snow Crash.

That's fine, vive and oculus look similar anyway

p much this, also facebook login/using your real name coming to oculus kek

Remember, this is a tween heavy populace here. They think like children do, because they are children. The PSVR is the only VR device any of them have any chance at seeing under the Xmas tree when they run to it in the morning. They have to lie and make themselves think it is the best device. They can't face the reality before them.

>HTC Vive
>first gen

Oculus is dead because of Facebook, they literally shot themselves in the foot repeatedly and are nothing more than a sad joke now.

PSVR is going to be shovelware, consoles just are not the platform for VR.

VIVE is the one true saviour, but HTC is in troubles. Still, gotta hope this will drive the Vive's price down soon.

It's really Sony's game to lose at this point. All they need to do is maintain supply which neither HTC nor Facebook could do at launch. And the Rift Touch controllers are looking to be another debacle.

Oculus Rift, PSVR and HTC Vive are the first CONSUMER gen of VR sets.
Previously you had to buy $10k+ in projectors.

except pokemon go isnt vr

Hey, I just gotta say. As a guy that owns all the main setups out currently. GearVR, Vive and Rift. The Rift FB thing is kinda a lie. I have never had to log into FB to use it. I don't even fucking have a FB account, Doesn't stop me from using Oculus Store and the Rift itself.

Just more lies being tossed around by shithead kids...well like you.

that's the joke

I only want one for the porn games tbqh

haven't used the rift in a while I see

That's why I said "coming to oculus". It's optional now but it's obv. going to be mandatory soon or at least pushed harder.

It's optional m8
not defending the Rift, it sucks dicks, but is right. It's one of those social options, like logging in Spotify through FB.

Are this guys even aware what they are fucking in public?
Shouldn't he commit seppuku after this shit?

Uh gee, just like an hour or so ago. So you took that screenshot I take it? No? Found it online? Yep.

Again, I don't have a FB account, yet It works fine. I did create an Oculus Store account. But that is no different than eBay or Amazon account. Not too scary my Tinfoil Fedora wearing friend.

The Shithead Army just keeps marching along with their incorrect info huh? Appears so.

...

Except the first CONSUMER headsets were released in the mid '90s, and ranged from $300 to $1000

CM3D2 is the best thing ever.

>installing oculus store for a screenshot
>DRM service that always runs and constantly polls facebook's servers
No thanks

aa2 is better
CM3D2 becomes boring after 40 minutes
aa2 can lasts for the 2-3 evenings

PSVR is just an easier and simpler access point to VR.

No, user, a headset with a screen does not a VR headset make. Otherwise we'd call TrackIR VR.

The real first gen of VR is what we're getting now.

So I literally just went to the mall and tried out the Vive

Bads
>I had it adjusted poorly, so everything on the bottom of the screen was blurry forcing me to move my head if I wanted to read things. I later read up there are nobs to adjust it.
>Underwhelming level of detail in small things. The underwater ship wreck demo. The little fish looked like absolute shit. It was like they were on a Tube TV.
>Peripheral vision wasn't terrible in most demos, but for the underwater one it was. There was a giant whale and because of the lack of extreme peripheral, you had to unnaturally move your head around to look at it.
>I kept stepping on the cord. You'd need to have it suspended some way if you expect to dodge without eating shit.
>Controllers only have 2 buttons. The track pad and the trigger. I could get used to it, but I had difficulty figuring out on tilt brush.
>I had a bit of difficulty on the shooter game changing my weapon mode with the track pad. I probably just wasn't use to it I think.
>A bit top heavy, might have not been strapped on as well as it could have been. More support to the back of the neck would fix that.
>Hands and head got sweaty, probably from not being used to that sort of thing.

Goods
>Lightbrush and shooting was really nice. I didn't notice any issues with the graphics
>The tactile response is good. Knocking balloons around and firing the gun felt great
>Graphics seemed fine for everything but the underwater demo.
>I didn't notice screen dooring. Maybe a bit when I stared at the tiny fish.
>Track pads are pretty good. I'd have to play a game that makes more use of them to see how well they are.
>Tracking is perfect. There's no issue at all with positional tracking.

It would be nice if the resolution was higher, but that probably won't happen for 2-3 years, if ever.

Conclusion:
I'll probably buy one.
It seems really niche, especially with the controls.
I'd like to see some games where you can walk around with the trackpad

AMA

AA2 is too barebones. Got bored of it a lot faster than CM2.

>The Rift FB thing is kinda a lie
>incorrect info huh

Uh, no, the prompt is real and widely reported. No one said it was mandatory.

I was suspicious at first but I used an HTC Vive for the first time a few days ago and I was blown away. I played that Job Simulator game and though it's nothing special to just look at, when you're actually in the game, it's an incredible feeling of immersion.

I would absolutely buy a Vive if I had the money.

lol..hey, You might want to add a vest to go with the hat.

You are still wrong and should stop getting your info from other tweens. Most are shitheads. You might as well ask them about women and how to attract and please them. Their knowledge base is about as accurate as their VR knowledge.

No. They aren't. Even Nintendo made a fake one in like gen 3. Fuck off, underage scum.

where do you think they are?

So we have to wait another 30 years?

...

VR will be an annoying fad that will last for way too long and have tons of resources wasted on it.

The ugly truth is that the fad hasn't even started yet. We'll still have half a decade of this whenever it actually starts getting popular, be in that in a few months or in three years.

>but that probably won't happen for 2-3 years, if ever.

More like, next year. These VR sets were made with the GTX 970 in mind, now the 970 is cheap as hell and surpassed by midrange cards. Next year, the x70 cards will be like 6 times more powerful and there will probably be either a possible hardware upgrade or new VR devices altogether.

check %localappdata%\Oculus\Service_TIMESTAMP.txt

Get out, shill. You don't even have to run Wireshark. They aren't even trying to hide it.

They were like $200. What are you talking about?

Computer mouse will be an annoying fad that will last for way too long and have tons of resources wasted on it.

$200.00 in 1993 had the same buying power as $333.37 in 2016

haha, so it is an option just like a shitload of other services that will let use your FB account or Google account for. Yeah, again, it is an option. You do know the meaning of this word right? I mean schools aren't this shitty are they nowadays? That kids don't even understand what the word OPTION means by the age of 12?

I guess I need to start blaming the nations educators.

>More like, next year.
I wish, but any simple search will turn up results that they aren't boosting the resolution right now.

They have Vive 2 on the drawing boards, but that's it.

If they doubled the Vive's resolution, I'd easily go out and buy 2 1080s. But then again, I doubt they'd be able to sell many of them if it required that.

But """real""" consumerHMDs existed in the '90s and also the '00s, you're just being retarded now.
They're still kicking around in military and academic VR research facilities, even.

>underage scum
>pretends to call those things "VR"
Did you call the radio the first gen of television, too? There's literally nothing in common except the fact that both go on your head.

I don't know, man.

I've watched that new VRodeo at Giant Bomb today. It has some pretty cool moments but at the end of the day the most fun stuff are really just a gimmick and nothing more.

Is it worth 1000+ bucks to fuck around in VR world? Again: I don't know, man.

You decide.

>other services that will let use your FB account or Google account for
No, if they wanted to use OAuth, they would have used OAuth.

>annoying fad

I hope you mean the present "VR" and not actual VR or shit like holodecks. Those are the future of entertainment.

>Actually wanting to be Zuckerbergs slaves

Foolishness Cred Forums, foolishness.

how do you go from this...

Those are not VR headsets.
This is the closest we had to the real concept of VR, before the Rift and Vive.

youtube.com/watch?v=twP5ZIeoGxQ

again, a screen close to your eyes is not VR.

You really need to try it for yourself before you form a real opinion on it. Whether you like it or dislike it after you try it is irrelevant, but you need to try it first because just watching footage or watching someone play doesn't do the experience justice.

Im waiting on the replacement screen for my homebrew VR set. Its got a little 6DOF sensor and an Arduino Nano in it. Works pretty well actually. Refresh rate and FOV aint as good as the real ones, but it tracks really smoothly and was under a hundred canadabucks.

Kill yourself.

>his name is actually Zuckerberg

w e w

>again, a screen close to your eyes is not VR.
[citation needed]

>Is it worth 1000+ bucks to fuck around in VR world? Again: I don't know, man.

Spending $1000 on a real new experience
vs
Spending $1000 on le meme 4k tv screen

Guess what's the reasonable progression for entertainment.

I mean, this: youtube.com/watch?v=UMv1PdInL80 is not a gimmick. This is another level of gameplay.

>trust me, the cucks
what did he mean by this

So are we still starting a new VR waifu religion?

Is a PC controller wheel a real car?
Answer yourself, goyim.

And? What a service is running..yeah? Again, what is the pain point?

So how is your Linux distro treating you? You do use Linux right? I mean, with the concerns you have over privacy of the data that could be gathered and used to hurt you obviously you prevent this on all fronts. Such as the os you use. I mean we all know MS gets our data. We all know Apple gets our data. So you must be a Linux user, the only os where you are safe from data mining..right?

Oh and we are in V, do you have an Xbox Live account, a Sony PS account? Just curious.

>at all the VR shitposters have never actually used it
>If you actually try all 3 psvr looks so much worse it's night and day
I've tried both rift and PSVR, the rift does have a slightly better screen, but everything else about PSVR is better. The demos were better, the headset was more conftrabile, it fit better over glasses. And the upcoming software is being made by actual developers and not hobbyists in their basements.
Plus, 3 confirmed waifu sims on a region free platform.
And HTC Vivie may be better than both of them, it also costs double what the PSVR costs, so i would expect it to be.

>Tu quoque
keep trying shillary

not everyone is a shame ridden white male

>No one screencapped it

ONE JOB!!

The inherent, unfixable problem with PSVR, is that it's bound to a console. Which means you'll get trickled down content, little by little, and no freedom.

We all know VR will explode with porn and regular entertainment. The Playstation won't be a part of that, so spending even half the price of the Vive is still a retarded investment, condidering that the PSVR will never be more than a gimmick like the motion controllers.

Now, if someone with balls hacked the PSVR to plug it in a PC, it might sell like hotcakes. To the point that Sony would be stupid if they actively tried to stop this from happening. People would flock to the PSVR just to rig it for PC use.

But that's literally what vive and oculus are, screens close to your face

What this?

Go for it.

>with lenses
>with full positional and body tracking
>with means to interact in game in a real human bean fashion, not a mouse pointer

It is done.

You know when I hear about things I can't afford and most likely never will I call all that can afford them and have the knowledge of experience to speak positively about them shills too.

>Buddy has a Ferrari..tells me how nice it is
>I just call him a shill
>Buddy has a nice boat, says it is great and fun
>I just call him a shill.
>Buddy has a nice anything I cannot afford.
>I just call him a shill.

Again, how is school going for you?

When I've been working all day the last thing I want to do it put on faggot goggles and move about looking like a retard.

VR obviously means convincing your brain that something is more real than just an image on a screen. You can go about that all sorts of ways, but simply making the screen fill more of your field of vision is a hilarious thing to put on the VR side of the divide, as much as marketers loved to try to convince dumbasses like you. And that's totally ignoring the fact that they didn't actually come close to actually filling your field of vision, and they were pixelated to hell.

>fox and the grapes
>implying a vive isn't more expensive than a rift

Another NEVER TRIED IT talking with authority.

And you car is just 4 small patches of rubber on the road.

lmao

No, you don't need a VR headset to achieve that. You do it just fine without anything on your head at all. Cus you are da man. A retarded one, but still.

...

I am ... I want an experience like I've never had before

youtu.be/wIl2-5f8NTo

youtu.be/xXwQHIsH4Ew

youtu.be/alWMRrvwl5Y

>FUCKING GAMESTOP getting PSVR demo units soon

I still can't get over how silly it looks. I wouldn't mind trying it out, but I think I'll still prefer just watching from a distance.

Sigh, to play Rainbow Six Siege with this. I want the future right now

nice job you fuckass you saved in the lowest quality jpeg you could
congratulation

Nah, it is.

Better than nothing since apparently no none else could be fucking arsed to cap it.

>Underage faggot on damage control.

Just shut up and fuck off, you can play stupid but you can't change reality (I'd say pun not intended but you're too retarded to get it anyway)

from 1995, dumbass
youtube.com/watch?v=J0n5B3fl-bU

Get a Vive (roomscale)
Get Minecraft with the Vive mod
Stand on the edge on top of a large cliff or a large tree
Take a step.

A monitor plastered to your face can fuck with your mind more than most imagine.

Nah, it will die like 3D TVs outside of very specific niches

Nobody wants to strap shit to their face just for a gimmick. It won't be replacing proper vidya any time soon

>fall to the ground like a little bitch from the gate hitting him
>run like the fucking wind after getting his leg run over

what did he mean by this?

>webm

god what a dumbass

Here's a fun little trick, next time you decide to play a game record yourself with a camera.

And this is not a "ur ugly" joke, Just do it, because if you think that's retarded, clearly you've never seen yourself or other people absorbed into a game.

Why would someone waste their time and save this garbage?

>That hint of disappointment in the corner of her mouth when she squeezed and felt nothing.

I feel like the technology has potential, but won't become a gaming mainstay until the technology gets cheaper. At the moment you need a really powerful PC and a headset that costs as much as an entire console. It's an amazing technology, but until your average joe can afford it, it's not really going anywhere.

>replacing
it doesn't need to replace jack.
Just have the option to play using VR.
Alien Isolation in VR would be 10x better.

It's too embarrassing to watch, so who would see you?

>PSVR is going to be shovelware
>Resident evil
>Gran Tourism
>Driveclub
>Ace Combat
>Danganropa
>Dynasty Warriors
>Rez
>Tekken 7
>Trackmania

>Shovelware

Try not to cut yourself on all that edge.

>I-i was only p-pretending to be retarded.

I remember in 2010 when I bought a 3D TV and played Shadow of Colossus for PS3, I also had a blast. I don't think I ever played another 3D gamr other than Ico after that, simple because no content.

This claim is just as retarded as saying that all you need is TrinusVR to play ANY PC GAME EVER on VR.

Many of those games are third person, too, meaning that they would be shit for VR.

Yeah because unless a product can be purchased by a kid, it is bound to fail.

1:
>The inherent, unfixable problem with PSVR, is that it's bound to a console. Which means you'll get trickled down content, little by little, and no freedom.

when you say shit like "Unfixable problem that its bound to a console" You show your bias which discredits your argument. Regardless of how you feel about consoles, the market speaks for itself, so this is not an argument this is just biased drivel, catchprases like "trickkle down content" and "freedom" are just buzzwords, you made no argument, you just said things.

2:
>We all know VR will explode with porn and regular entertainment. The Playstation won't be a part of that.
PSVR is a separate platform, it was confirmed by Shuhei Yoshida that there will be PC support for the headset after launch.

3:
>Now, if someone with balls hacked the PSVR to plug it in a PC, it might sell like hotcakes. To the point that Sony would be stupid if they actively tried to stop this from happening. People would flock to the PSVR just to rig it for PC use.
See 2.

I'd welcome you to make an argument that isn't completely logical fallacies but its clear you have an overbearing bias against consoles as a medium to the point you're incapable of forming anything coherent that isn't just a hate speech that ignores hard figures like adaption rates and sales.

>platinum ass blasted

But being on a console is the opposite of a problem. Very few people who own PCs gave VR ready PCs, yet everyone who owns a PS4 is VR ready. And those that are VR ready all have different hardware configurations. And the PC market is already spilt in two, with two different headsets, and more on the way. The adoption rate of VR is under 10% and the market is already a fragmented mess.
Meanwhile sony has one headset and 2 hardware specs, and an already existing, bigger market share.
And they have already got developers on board, big developers too. If the launch is a success, sony will take the lead in the VR space for the next few years.
And waifu sims > porn
Summer Lesson and Happy Manager are already confirmed, and i'm sure there's more on the way. And if you want to fap, DOAX3 is a launch title.

Yuo gotta remember. The real salty ones are the youngest and dumbest. They can't see much beyond their own personal limitations at that age.

The concept of having a Vid setting option to use standard display or VR is beyond them. Even though games like DCS already employ this ability and allows the game to be used whichever way the user is able to use them just does not register in their simple minds sadly.

It is either one way or the other to them. We have already learned that for many here, the word OPTION is foreign to them. Maybe they will get taught it's meaning next semester.

an actual screen would hurt and be blurry

Most people have much lower tolerance to pain in/on their head compared to the rest of their body, since your entire body is designed to be a giant shock absorption and impact deflection device to protect your head.

They're confirmed VR titles you daft punk.

Also 1: They're not third person, their existing counterparts are third person. Big difference. 3: VR does not have to be first person exclusive, if you think it needs to be first person you've clearly never experienced VR. 4: Fuck you, look for 2.

Hmm.... that's weird... you are retarded, then you got btfo, and you baclashed but, what is this? Reality didn't change to support your argument any more... how weird. Maybe you should trash around some more like a petulant child, maybe if you cry enough it'll generate an alternate world where you're right, and if not... well... there's always virtual reality :^)

The new wii remote/kinect.
Disregard and move on.

Who cares if it's the worst headset, at least it will have some fucking games.

>Disregard and move on.
>Crying about it in a VR thread.
>Doesn't follow his own advice.
kek
KEK

So can I play normal games on Oculus/Vive? Or is it all just gimmick motion control shit? And how's porn in VR? Will I tear my dick off?

I have to be honest the only game that really intrests me so far is Resident Evil 7 and I'm seriously considering delaying buying it till I have enough money to throw into PSVR because the idea of a horror triple A game completely supported by devs turns me on a lot
Sadly I doubt this will happen many times

haven't you been following moore's law?

maybe white dudes should breed with japs

been a fantasy of mine anyway

I think VR is just a gimmick like so many other things that came and went away before it.

Just the thought of someone running around his room for 10+ hours per day is preposterous, while you have no problem sitting in front of your PC for the same amount of time.

Can't wait for god games in VR.

I'd say it's certainly the future; keyword there being "future". The tech right now is too early and expensive and no one knows what to do with it other than make tech demos. And it's going to stay that way until it becomes a cheaper alternative since no dev is going to sink a ton of money into a project that will only be available to a small market.

he's just playing the game ironically

God I hope not I get motion sickness so easily I'll never be able to play video games again.

We still haven't figured out how to move in VR naturally so you would walk to something instead of teleporting to it, headsets are still corded so you always have that fear of tripping over the cord and have wires all over the place, no 1:1 hands to actually use just robot claw hands, and we don't know how to bring in tactical feedback.

>We still haven't figured out how to move in VR naturally so you would walk to something instead of teleporting to it

We have, though. The issue is making a walking space bigger than your sensor area. Directed walking looks like it might solve this, tricking you into turning around when you get near a boundary.

>headsets are still corded so you always have that fear of tripping over the cord and have wires all over the place
Wireless headsets exist. If your headset isn't then you can still set up a suspension system, like what keeps your dog from getting his leash caught up on all the shit in your yard.

>no 1:1 hands to actually use just robot claw hands
There's a dozen 1:1 hands systems, everything from cameras that observe your own hands to gloves that measure your hand movements mechanically.
Some of those gloves even have tactile feedback built in, so you can feel what you're molesting in VR.

This is the future, gents

Harada is my waifu.

>We still haven't figured out how to move in VR naturally so you would walk to something instead of teleporting to it,
Analog controls, they still work, autistic indie devs just want to rewrite everything to the point they have an aversion to proven methods so they force the teleport bullshit.
Also youtube.com/watch?v=OwahU831gw0

>headsets are still corded so you always have that fear of tripping over the cord and have wires all over the place,
Most VR games are actually seated experiences, also there's too much input lag for wireless displays, don't expect that shit any time soon unless someone makes a self-sustained headset or you hook it up to a laptop and stick it in a backpack.

>no 1:1 hands to actually use just robot claw hands,
leapmotion.com/product/vr
Also comma between "use" and "just" so the sentence actually makes fucking sense.

>and we don't know how to bring in tactical feedback.
There are some gloves in development now that actually provide tactile feedback (Its tactile, btw, not tactical) but this is irrelevant, tactile feedback isn't something you should worry about yet, most games are simple and cartoony. the visual level of VR shit isn't high enough to deem a need to tactile immersion, when the visuals come to a point its deemed necessary it'll become more widespread.

people can look dumb absorbed in anything (google olympic diver faces or people dunking or whatever) but VR takes the fucking cake

>people can look dumb absorbed in anything (google olympic diver faces or people dunking or whatever) but VR takes the fucking cake
Like I said, record yourself. You think VR is worse because you never actually saw yourself do it.

i dont have to record myself to know how people look playing video games traditionally, you look just everyone else when you with other people

most people sit and just stare at the screen with a look of concentration on their face, maybe their mouth open

VR you have to walk around and flail like a 4 year old

A while ago I heard of scientists working on Light particles that can bounce off eachother.
I think Holodeck technology will be what makes vr take off.

Just do it.

>using Isla for lewd
I'm mad

Like this?

I sure hope that they somehow they manage to make it worthwhile in the sense that they release actual games instead of an endless stream of gimmicky tech demos.

Also why does the Vive use those dumb wiimotes that you can drop instead of something cool like gloves with a bunch of sensors on them?

VR still needs to improve from what it is now. But I'm excited about VR. The only VR headset i own is the one made by Samsung, plan on getting the Playstation VR because of Samsung VR.

>cutting out the end of the climax
you dont know it's the climax until you see the relaxation

why

Not if all games for it are just gonna be crappy jumpscare horrors and gimmicky bullshit.

that will be in the case of PC

dont be a pussy and just break up with her

What was that program that lets you play 3D movies inside a theater?

Gomenasai

I think AR has a better shot than VR

>thread full of anons playing the parts of cute anime girls
man I hate that I missed it

>wasting your good genes on tiny dicked manlets and ugly women

I want to punch his face into a fine powder

oh hey I remember playing duke nukem 3d with a puck controller at a mall in the late 90s. Never knew what the hardware was before. Must have been the vfx1. Thanks for posting that.

It ight be an interesting tool for people creating 3D assets, but the software is not there yet.

It also might be neat for online social hubs.

It is not the future of gaming.

Girls are cutest when they're being raped.

No, user, you are the humorless nerd for wanting to see that tired gag again.

I think when it hits PS4 it will explode, even more money will be put into VR and it will actually get better

Win win

What's in the HTC Vive IS an actual screen, though.

>It is not the future of gaming.

I can't see it working for games using it heavily but act more like a optional mode for FPS.

>I think when it hits PS4 it will explode

Interesting. I think the opposite will happen. When everybody gets tired of it on PS4, it will almost disappear again.

For pc, yes. Alone or for consoles will rip.

HTC Vive has ONE game, that's going in the wrong direction IMO

Beyond that, the best use of VR has and will always be until further fucking indication. Simulation games, and jump scare shit.

>optional mode for FPS.

Sure, for single player.

In multiplayer it isn't an advantage over other control methods.

It'll really hit its stride with ambient first person puzzlers and walking sims for normies.

And that'll all be on phones.

>implying

If you play a game regularly with kbm or controller there should really be no expression or movement. Maybe you forget to blink that's it.

Wow user, I do admit I do look silly here just playing some PS4. Thanks for showing me the light that a person looks bad sitting in a chair holding a controller.

I think there's no game yet that uses the full potential of VR

Disgusting.

Call me back when it's a truly immersive experience. I'll also take an experience that won't fuck my eyes over after an hour of usage, and leave marks on my face from clamping the mask down.

It is something that'll be great. Just not in our lifetime.

So, PSVR?

I'm just going to save up and get one of those full-motion cockpits from China

VR simulators in one of those things would be pretty wild

...

I have this grandiose vision of what VR will be like in the future. "Augmented reality" is going to be the best shit.

The "VR goggles" will be about the same amount of weight and size as regular large sunglasses. You put them on and then you'll never want to take them off. You can customize your living space with all of these things. You can have monitors the size of your wall, you can have every anime/videogame figurine on your shelf, you can paint your walls on a whim, have 3D-model girls walking around who you can interact with, and you can even go completely crazy and make your house look like the stair labyrinth at the end of the movie Labyrinth. You can do anything.

>Just glasses
Yeah, sure, but I want to actually be plugged in. Give me the Matrix. I'll be a processing unit for your system, whatever. Or even a battery like the stupid script they went with.

>a guy is immersed in playing a game with a headset that goes over eyes with two controllers
>it has some tracking for moving about because sensors in the room
>duhh why it look dumb when looking at someone play it??
I bet you don't jack your brain into the matrix, glitch

nintenyearolds man....

Anyone got footage of that that game honey select?

>Is it the future of gaming?

Nope, not in any truly interactive sense. Your average gamer would be dead from a heart attack playing an fps on one of those stupid multi directional treadmills for a start. Not to mention the fact an entire room would have to be set aside for it, and 99% of people just can't do that.

Stupid and pointless gimmick that'll die as fast as 3dtv. That said, porn is a big business.

>search "take off"
>still get results
>its not for everyone.

This whole thread is a joke.
