XV's attacks have you move to face away from the enemy after completing a combo. Jumps are extremely weighty and make it difficult to enact aerial combos.

It's not though, it has it's own playable cahracter, it's own assets and even it's own version of the combat system

GTAV and MGSV aren't the same kind of game as FFXV, hell, they aren't the same game as each other.

Plus they both kind of blew their wad early.

2's combat isn't even arguable that it's better. Sadly the combat in KH1 just stays clunky for far too long, and Deep Jungle and Monstro make me want to fucking kill myself before I ever have to go through them again.

FFXV. At the end of the day, 2.8 is a prologue for KH3 primarily. FFXV is at least guaranteed to be more fun than playing through DDD.

But KH2 combat is much smoother, and more flexible.

It allows you to correct mistakes very well keeping flow very nice if you can keep it that way.

A good example is the Data Xemnas fight with your attacks and Reflect.

I'm slightly biased on the Roxas opening, but I can completely understand why people like Destiny Islands more.

Hell if I wasn't for me having Roxas as my favourite KH character I'd prefer KH1 starting.

KH2 is not deep. It's depth doesn't go beyond dodging attacks with dodges and I-frames. I'm talking about creative potential and a moveset with which you can express yourself. Having to go into a menu to change weapons like ninja gaiden is retarded enough but having to menu to change the attack combo you're doing is beyond unfathomable.

You can change how combos work in KH2 and whether or not certain requirements go into Negative Combos for quicker Finishers for instance.

I fucking love me some Kingdom Hearts, but I'm so tired of spin-offs, remakes, re-dos, prologues, epilogues, prequels, side stories, and remasters. Just give me a goddamn sequel already, holy shit. There have been so many games between KH2 and KH3 now that I literally have given up trying to understand the story. I have no interest in KH 2.8 or whatever the fuck it is.

As for FFXV the trailer didn't interest me in the slightest. I at first liked the look of the game with how it almost seemed like a big ass road trip to save the world. But then the gameplay just turned into what looks to me like a more sluggish Kingdom Hearts style. Then the performance of the demos showed there are clear issues with how everything runs. Then after watching a TGS demo it seems like it might as well play like an MMO, with the characters going around killing multiple hoards of scorpions for a quest. I don't know, the whole thing just seems kinda boring and certainly doesn't play in a way I enjoy.

I'm excited for KH3 though. And I guess I'll watch to see what FFXV reviews for. But neither of those trailers got me excited.

DDD actually has some improvements to it. They removed the Drop System, added in some new (or at least a couple Dream Eaters), improved some of the flow-motion, and stuff.
