I liked how one trigger made you use a weapon that was slow and powerful and other used a weapon that was fast and far reaching, with the regular sword in between.

Easier is an understatement though. I'm not even good at cuhrazy and I had to play it on the highest available starting difficulty and even then I still didn't even die once.

For Honor

As somebody who usually sticks to cuhrayzee fast weeb games, For Honor has enough depth and variation to call it good combat, especially for PvP. The Alpha really impressed me. I haven't seen anybody successfully deconstruct it without outing themselves as a bad player or someone who never played it.

If you're talking melee combat, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy, and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic are at the top of totem pole for western games. And while those are fine games, yeah they aren't DMC3 or Bayonetta tier or anything.

As far as shooting goes though holy shit, you can play FEAR, any of the 3 Max Paynes, Doom, even some eurojank like Timeshift and Hard Reset has fun shooting.

My absolute fucking nigga. This is the first time I ever see anyone else mention this game. It has such good mechanics for a beat 'em up, nice defensive abilities and an actual fucking special bar instead of every special draining your hp so you can never have fun.

Played the alpha all weekend m8, fell in love overnight. I particularly enjoy playing 1v1 as Conqueror, Warden, and Orochi. 4v4 mode is good fun too, but the combat truly stands out in the 1v1 environment.

Its easier to challenge someones knowledge to get info than to ask nicely, and there will never be a time when someone doesn't take the bait. It is the textual coup de grace the perfect win win ultimatum.

I thought it was fun. I liked the whole lighter equip load = faster power recharge thing. It made playing vanguard fun as fuck, especially if you had a biotic with you.

It's not as good as DMC/Bayo/NG, but it's a reasonable facsimile and better than Revengence. In fact if it didn't have the DMC monkier it may have been well received.

ME3 multiplayer had no fucking right being that good. Only one mode, tacked on as fuck, the tie-in with the singleplayer was cool in concept but executed horribly, it played fast and loose with the canon, and had microtransactions to boot, but the combat completely carried it.

Like four free DLC packs with increasingly innovative and fun to play characters didn't hurt either.

Western devs make the best RTS and FPS, TPS is a split. East makes the best action games and I would argue action rpgs as well.

RPGs comes down to preference. If you like garbage like Skyrim you'll prefer the west. If you like old CRPGs you'll prefer west. If you like jrpgs or souls games you'll prefer east.

That would depend on ones definition of combat.
