What does this mean?

The retro DK games are worse than the originals.
3D mario has never been as engaging as 2D's platorming focus and is horribly stagnant.
Smash Bros is better than Brawl but even my casual ass prefers melee.
Kirby is a dead franchise with walkover difficulty.

There's a gap between what I want in a 2d mario and the full blown autistic powerlevel of the people that put effort into making levels and I'm right in the middle of that gap.
