No Retardy, no complaining about cars, just discussion of 1-8 and maybe the spin-offs.

My vote is for 2 or 3.

Mario Party 1 was the GOAT. I remember the artwork for the maps being really nice.
Any others that can compete? I've only played 1, 8, 9, and 10.
Sebastian Hughes
I like Mario Party Advance. It has such unique different content, with dialogue and gadgets.
David Sanders
I liked 2, that might be worth checking out with your buddies. (All of my compliments come from ancient, childhood memories) The boards had fun themeing and it had my favorite mini game: a 2v2 where you tunnel/eat through a pizza and whoever eats the most is the winner
Elijah Howard
1-3 are all great. 4 was not that good and 5 was solid. All the others range from mediocre to bad.
Jeremiah Clark
Mario Party 1 is pretty unique, it's the only game with 8 boards, no items and the ability to toggle things like blocks and character appearances.
If you want a 64 game with a similar feel in terms of gameplay and personality, then MP2 is for you. It retains many of the same minigames but improved, it only gives you one item per person, and the boards have the same sort of artwork and personality to them.
If you want a good game that has board gimmicks like MP1 had, then MP6 is the way to go.
Jason Russell
It's three.
Aiden Ramirez
Also I literally only now realized that there's a road on this board.
John Reyes
1 is my favorite but 2 is a solid successor. 3 is fun too but is kind of a step down compared to the previous games. Still good though, and one you can have a very enjoyable time playing.
4 and 5 are a mixed bag from what I remember, but it's been years. It's also been a long time since I played 6 but from what I remember that was the best of the GameCube parties.

It took me years before I noticed the "blood" was coming from a big ketchup bottle.

So what is Mario Retardy? Is it just Mario Party net play or what?
Xavier Wright
>someone else likes advanced Are you also one of the 10 people on the planet who could muster up the patience to finish it?
Jose Cruz
It's up
Jonathan Price
This is correct.
Hunter Campbell
I had no friends as a kid and only played against the AI or my mother. I enjoyed MP5 though.
Zachary Martinez
I love that old N64 3D art aesthetic
Michael Martinez
Not him, but I also enjoyed it. The Bowser coaster was my favorite mode.
Colton Brown
It's four CPUs set to easy, shenanigans happen
Carter Ross
>You will never watch Toad Force V
Benjamin Jones
>usually only played with 2 family members and we just fuck the cpu over I never experienced the true cutthroat nature of Mario party

>Favorite game 1 or 3 >Least favorite game 5 >Favorite board Deep Blooper Sea >Least favorite board Any of 4's boards except Koopa's >Minigame I'm best at A tapping minigames (Cheep Cheep Chase, Domination, Slime Time, Bowser Toss) >Minigame I'm worst at Mario's Puzzle Party and Chip Shot Challenge >Luckiest I've gotten Getting +8 stars on Yoshi's Tropical Island in Mario Party 1, happening spaces were landed on always right before I hit Bowser and replaces him with Toad >Unluckiest I've gotten Getting the game stolen right after my luckiest moment >Best side content I like the Mini-Game Islands/Mine from 1 and 2 where you have to complete all the mini-games and unlock something at the end. >Memories Any time someone gets 999 coins on Game Guy in Mario Party 3. One time my friend hit 999 and landed on Game Guy again and still hit max multiplier on the Chain Chomp cake eating game.
Eli Rivera
>Getting the game stolen right after my luckiest moment In-game or do you mean your copy of MP1?
yea the day/night cycle in 6 was shit but 5 was good c'mon
Andrew Martinez
Was it unrelated or did someone get salty?
Jackson Jenkins
My assumption is that a salty someone threw the game in the trash can, because when I came back later the game was not in the N64 cartridge slot and I couldn't find it. I bought the game a few weeks ago though.
Chase Flores
Day/night cycle in 6 was cool tho 5 didn't even have item shops
Connor Robinson
*I rebought the game a few weeks ago

>see this thread >get nostalgic >look up the original Mario Party on Super Mario wiki >learn there's two hidden maps I'd never seen before My whole life is a series of lies.

I hope you can still find people to party with.

They unlock quick when you play with friends :)

>He never experienced the greatest meme board of all time
Bentley Rodriguez
In MP8 there was a minigame where you had to vigorously shake the Wii remote so your character would shake a can of soda. Whoever shook the hardest had the farthest spray, and was declared the winner. I was unbeatable at that minigame.
Luis Gonzalez
>toon fag >no friends
Yep, it checks out.
Grayson Young
>vigorously shake >farthest spray >that image I bet
Adrian Hughes
>Favorite game? Mario party 2. 3 is close behind >Least favorite game? Anything after 7 desu. >Favorite board? None really. >Least favorite board? Idk. >Minigame you're best at? Any game where you had to match the picture in the middle, uncover all squares on the tipsy board, the record player one, toad in the box, and ground pound totem poles >Minigame you're worst at? Hate the 3v1 one where you're the claw and the other three are dolls on the moon. >Luckiest you've gotten? Don't remember too much luck per se >Unluckiest you've gotten? Had 1st place with 3 stars and a shit ton of coins. My shit got switched with a friend who had 1 star and no coins through one of the in game mechanics... >Best side content? I really enjoyed all the bonus games and tournament mode in 3. >Any memories that stick out? See above
Luke Ross
Looking forward to Star Rush, shit looks fun and a proper way to try something new
It's a shame, Bowser Party had potential only to be ruined by the garbage amount of content

I never noticed them before but DK's feet thumbs are fucking weird.

One is a lovingly-crafted test of wit and skill. The other is Melee.

>Favorite game?
I haven't played it in forever but 3 is what I remember enjoying the most. Then it's either 2/6, then 5/7. Didn't like 8 and didn't okay 1.
>Least favorite game? From what I played, 8. Gimmicky shit.
>Favorite board? Idk, I always like the Bowser ones though.
>Least favorite board?
I feel like boards in 2 and 4 have uninspired mechanics.
>Minigame you're best at? Platformer battles. Love them.
>Minigame you're worst at?
Mashing A ones.
>Luckiest you've gotten?
Gotten one star from every player in 5. still lost the game though
>Unluckiest you've gotten?
I was playing 5 with a couple of friends and his little brother, and his little brother sucked. He somehow started winning, nobody remembers him getting stars or getting ahead of everyone. >Best side content?
I love 5's Mini-game modes where there's some sort of strategy to win and 3's battle mode as a kid. If there are any more like this I'll play those.
>Any memories that stick out? None, I don't remember my childhood that much.
Colton Gonzalez
Okay fuckers, who's going to open a Netplay for 3 or 6? Now's your chance.
Nicholas Murphy
3's duel mode is unique, 6/7/8 all have mini-game modes.
Kayden Jones
I can host either if there's enough people for a full party
Robert Gomez
I'll be willing to join, that makes us two.
Jason Edwards
>MP1 support functional >MP2 and MP3 support being worked on
Doesn't look like we'll be getting anyone, unfortunately.
There's a Discord server specifically for Mario Party netplay, if you're interested.
Joshua Peterson
So is this mostly making a new board on Mario Party 64?
If so, that's totally tits. But I hope they do more than just that Like customizable spaces and new mini games
Josiah Watson
What is it? I am interested.
Cooper Rogers
It's moreso boards right now, but if MP modding catches on then I wouldn't be surprised if either he or someone else started doing other mods.
Jordan Thomas
Also, how does this work? Is it N64 emulation?
Cause I'd prefer Dolphin-injected N64 roms
Zachary Campbell
It's N64 emulation, and it can export ROMs that can be played on real N64 hardware. Dunno about Dolphin, but I'd imagine you could probably inject a WAD. partyplanner64.github.io/
It's somewhat active, you'd probably not have too much trouble finding a game at most times of day. discord.gg/0qi7VWGokA2Ffr4q

name a more boring board in the original trilogy you can't
