BLACK

Literally Gun porn: the game

Undertale cause it's indie

>turn on infinite health
>set that direct missile strike to hit your small car directly by holding it for long enough
>hop in just before it hits
>fly into the night sky
The rush of nostalgia you just gave me might make me bust out my ps2

Also pic related

...

I used to load up a bunch of UN guys into a humvee and drive directly into the chink base and watch them fight it out. More fun than it sounds.

I just played this for the first time today

REMAKE OR TRUE SEQUEL WHEN

>when the Mighty Mo shows up for fire support

Best racing game ever

BLACK is shit, take off your nostalgia goggles

holy shit I thought I was the only one who played this game. Good times.
Never had the save pack though

...

Better than Red Dead Redemption

The free mode in this game is unrivaled, My cousin and I used to talk to each other every chance we got about cool shit we found while roaming

>play RDR
>remember playing GUN like 10 years ago
>remember that it was more videogamey, faster, more to the point with its story
>maybe it's all nostalgia
>see it on Steam, buy it, play it
>it really is still better than RDR (though I like RDR)

Fuck GUN. I rented it when it came out to play for the weekend with my cousin. Beat it in five hours. We fucked around playing San Andreas multiplayer the rest of it and had a better time.

I am the best there ever was at this and I don't even need illegal parts to hand you your metal ass. This fact cannot be disputed
Pic extremely related, it is what will rend your b hole entwain

that isnt xtreme G

This

It's the epitome of CoD's shooting gallery gameplay. Almost every enemy is next to a red barrel and it's boring as fuck. It's also a massive despoilment compared to it's pre-release trailers.

Xtreme a shit twisted metal wannabe

>Javelin
>relevant

is this supposed to be a joke?

>racing vidya and combat vidya

twisted metal black is underrated as fuck though

So much Patrician taste ITT

I'll take you with anything, homie. It's all the same when you lose

that's not F-Zero GX

>Strike Vanisher
>Holding any value

How does it feel, going slow and getting a shotgun round slammed down your throat every time you come out of a dash??

Have you ever tried to play it in the manner of a Black Ops team member?

As in, not go in all guns blazing?

Finally get to post this.

this game is actually harder than steel

haha, get it?
For real, it gets really hard in the later levels, I'm not sure I ever beat it.

>merge two monsters together to make new monster
>new monsters appearance is a literal combination of the two
>you can merge that monster with another to make another new monster
>literally endless merging possibilities
>monsters are small at low level and gradually grow larger as they level up, from small as fuck to huge
>MC can fight in battle and isn't a pussy that hides behind monsters
>game is the perfect length, doesn't suffer from dragging on and on and on
>great soundtrack, environments, and tone
>feels like a Studio Ghibli movie in game form, this is before I found out an artist from Studio Ghibli did the art for it

This game is criminally underrated. Multiplayer was great even though the campaign wasn't very good.

The opposite with this game. Great campaign and poor multiplayer

my nigga

im tempted to fire it up

Child me had a rager for this game.

You forgot that almost all merges are actually completely useless, and any more than 3 monsters merged always look like total ass.

Oh, also half the game is back tracking, and the combat is shit.

Why would they change the campaign style from semi free-roam in BC2? That's what hooked me in the first place

>buy it when it was down to $10 in mid-2011
>couldn't get past the fact that the single player was built in Unreal 3 but the multiplayer was Frostbite
What the fuck. The game is all around pretty fun, but jumping between the campaign and multiplayer quickly was nigh impossible since they were literally two different games.

BC2 is when DICE started trying to square off with Call of Duty

Red Dead Revolver

CoD audience

Had the campaign been made in frostbite as well I think ppl would remember it more fondly

FUCK YES user.

Plebs not using the infinite ammo cheat to grab a nork Jeep and put down enough c4 to launch it higher than general songs icbms

...

my god damn nigga

>finally find that hidden music

GOOD SHIT

One of the saddest days of my childhood was buying the sequel day one for ps2 with my own money and it had been trimmed and cut and removed of all fun. It was really a husk of its predecessor.

Spec Ops: The Line
It is essentially two different games when viewed through two different ideological goggles.
The first is a mediocre, run and gun game.
The second, a very dramatic and interesting descent into madness. Using gameplay mechanics, they emphasized a cognitive dissonance by making "war games" fun and simultaneously making you feel like a villain. Also, its 4th wall breaks destroyed me when I got back from the military.

Woo! Bumper Cars!

The gameplay frustrated me so I never finished it. Everyone says it's great but I just couldn't do it.

> ps2

...

...

tbqh I think it's overrated. Core mechanics are very generic and dull, but the level design and enemy AI makes it very engaging despite its core mechanics not being that good.

Story is engaging but doesn't actually address the player until literally the ending. I like how it shits on "'Murica saves the day" though, THAT trope was deconstructed more than military shooters IMO.

>You forgot that almost all merges are actually completely useless
Not if you don't just merge random shit together. All monsters have different stat ranges so if you have a monster with the stats you want you can merge it with a monster that has the skills you want which is nothing but a benefit, especially since most monsters tend to have only 1 skill or spell by default.

>any more than 3 monsters merged always look like total ass.
In some cases but certainly not always.

>half the game is back tracking
There is 0 backtracking unless you're talking about the Netherworld forests, which are just the first 3 forests but with different monsters.

>the combat is shit
The combat may not be """deep""" or particularly difficult but it's fine for what it is. The sequel does have far better combat, even if it is at the expense of literally everything else.

>This game had a planned sequel and a movie
>its all cancelled

I want to suck your dick that line still pops into my head all the fucking time to this day

Lil too much there lad

The Socom PSP games, all 4 of them were pretty comfy

i miss the online

I played this on the PS2 on a demo disc. It was fun, I just never got around to playing the full game.

Wow I take it back faggot and that's that shit you don't get back

I played this, was pretty good but I sucked dick at it

THE GETAWAY 3 NEVER EVER GODDAMN IT SONY

this really had nothing to offer compared to its contemperaries
sorry user

This fucking game was so much fun. I love squad based stuff and the npc's in this game weren't total shit. Split screen multiplayer was great too. Does anyone know any more games like this?

Cmon man. Fun medieval campaign as lion heart and large scale combat with tons of unit. Pretty cool if u ask me dawg

it was the closest thing to GTA i was allowed to have, and it DELIVERED.

Mah niggas

recycled rockport and looked like garbage. Sound track was earsplitting— still better than PS360

...

OH NO YOU DIDN'T

Boarder Zone/Supreme Snowboarding

GOAT soundtrack too, and it was all production music: youtube.com/watch?v=ETBZ0hh6HCg&list=PLfj3DCV13hdt3MBAmvojR8qDWGGC_Zhp5

Got me so hyped. Can't believe it's nearly a decade ago

I never played 1, only 2 through 4, unleashed, untamed, and reflex

The concept of the ChoroQ games were always stellar, I wish the series didn't die out like it did

Oops, forgot the pic like the dumbass i am

>look for some gameplay

AYYY WHATS GOING ON

>literally annoying little brother tier games

wew this board makes sense now

...

Thanks for contributing

>when you hit the edge of the map

oh no, ohh noo, oh noooooo, yo yo yo, oh no you didnt!

Literally my childhood

Man I remember Black being pretty open-ended

Zafehoyse DIaries

Nobosy talks about this game. Custom survivors is awesome and makes shit pretty wacky.

This game was the shit, had so much fun playing it with my brother

Amazing 1-4 coop game, ridiculously underrated

I need to replay this, I still have all the cds somewhere.
Story is amazing even though it ends on a cliffhanger

Thinking about it now it would be a perfect way to do a Archer videogame in style and gameplay.

that game night nit be better than red dead redemption, but I still think its a good game. if they made a gun 2 I would definitely buy it immediately even if it was bad

Fuck nigga, thanks for the reminder.

I was thinking of that series earlier, had forgotten what it was called.

I think I remember that game, did it have a level editor?

Holy shit I made this thread and racked my brains trying to think of more games that I have that were underrated and I STILL didn't think of this one. REALLY good game.

Holy shit I'm NOT the only one who played it!

Literally perfect

Not that i remember, maybe one of its sequels did.

I wish this game emulated well in PCSX2 but it's pretty much unplayable.

I don't feel like digging out my PS2 to play it again, but at least I still have a physical copy.

I really just wish it had ever been ported to PC, because the resolution and framerate of the PS2 version is pretty rough.

Conflict: Vietnam is better desu.

I loved this game. People bashed this game to hell and back but I always felt that it's a much better game than most folks give it credit for. Doing John Woo style maneuvers, performing disarms and hand to hand techniques just made you feel like the ultimate fighting machine. It's still one of my favorite PS2 games.

maybe im thinking of one of the sequels then

>MFW that mission where you start off in the back of the truck
>MFW again doing this on 4 player co-op and gunning down the innocent villagers

So much fun.

Never played it when I was a kid, might look into buying it.

...

WFC and FOC were hands down the best 3rd person shooters. That multiplayer... Fucking priming out and going 26-2. IDK if they were underrated, but they were cash. I still throw it in my PS3 just to show the Germans whose boss.

Best transformers games hands down.

One of my favorites, but apparently IO decided to make Kane and Lynch rather than give FF a sequel.

If you play the first Kane and Lynch it actually has shooting that is very similar to Freedom Fighters and it straight up has the same exact squad system as well.

Dominique a cute
youtube.com/watch?v=RvDoPGg2pWo

That feeling when there will never be a FF sequel

A new must-buy. Thanks user

Another game that kicked my ass a s a kid, but loved it all the same.

One of the first Bond games I've played, soooo much nostalgia

I loved it because I was a Christian at the time and GTA was too M rated for me. I was hungry for open world tom-foolery.

Depends on what kind of gun porn you wants. Reversed guns with brass flying in your face always triggers me, and those fukk hueg magazine caps pissed me on.

Fun story mode. Atmosphere as unique as STALKER

Sucker tried to play me

But you never payed me, never!

Oh no you didn't!

>K&L
>same exact squad system

what? no it didn't, not even the shooting is the same as guns are actually accurate in K&L and go all over the place in freedom fighters

I played this today from my back log. Best part is the bitches in cocktail dresses that all want the d. Not impressed.

youtube.com/watch?v=dEbE3fGfF-o

Nostalgia time

By squad system I mean the ability to have your units attack/defend/regroup by the press of a single button and the ability to hold to assign all units to attack/defend/regroup.

You can also aim at a spot and have units move their just like FF. But that's about where the similarities end, obviously you don't recruit or level up your ability to use more squaddies.

And I seem to remember the shooting being very inaccurate at distance in K&L which felt a lot like FF at the time. It was exceptionally innaccurate when compared to other third person shooters around that time, too, which is why it stood out to me.

Loved the Odd Job one hit kill hat.

That that cover though, the tapering on that suppressor will never not trigger me.

Conflictbros, try this series. It's WWII and a bit more realism based, but also much more rewarding in my eyes.

Are both games worth playing? I'm still surprised that it got a sequel after all the shit the first game got.

I'll also hate the first game for being the first time I got involved in video game industry drama when Gerstman got fucked by Gamestop.

God damnit Bannon. I wanted to fucking hate you. I wanted to be happy when you died.

You god damned fucking hero, you were the best of us.

Holy shit never noticed that, also triggered

...

I got that game for a ps2 exploit, only to find out it was secretly super good.

WAY better than SSX tricky.

I fucking love the Legend of Heroes Gagharv trilogy. The translation isn't that bad.

These games ruled my life when I was in highschool.

This

WFC was superfast and you really had to master the controls if you wanted to survive in multiplayer

Cheeki Breeki

YESSSSS!!!! Oh my god I never finished this game. I lost my PS2 years ago and I'm about to get an emulator hfs thank you based user

THIS GAME DESERVES A SEQUEL

Did I just imagine this existed?

Samefag

nah. i just re-beat it on PS2 like a week ago.

Closest thing to Mario 64 we'll ever get.

You can thank BLizzard for not getting a sequel.

The first one is just average and the AI is ass but 2 is really a garbage and bland game but it can scratch that itch of playing crap games for fun.

Just make sure you don't pay much for them to get the maximum amount of fun from it.

FUCKING CAPCOM MAKE DARKWATCH 2 ALREADY

...

Played the whole fuckin series, still one of my favorites.

Best game no one remembers

I remember that shit, good fuckin times

This was the closest thing to super mario 64 for me growing up

>there will never be a bad company 3

Quite literally THE pleb filter.

>dat difficulty level
>dem loading times

I rented this once and had a fucking blast.

This fucking game was the shit, soundtrack racing and free roam, I don't even like racing games in general but this game was fun

Why did this series stop? Was practically SOCOM co-op edition.

>World in Conflict
>underrated
I would rather call this Michael Bay shitshow with zero gameplay depth overrated.

...

...

I thought this game was stole good, I rented it from a Hollywood Video while on vacation, and swapped it with a double dash disc (I had 2 copies of it) I thought they would be happy to take the trade. I had to mail back the game and I didn't get double dash back.

had this when i was a kid. I remember making my own game guild by printing off an entire gamefaqs guild and putting it in a builder with colored tabs.

...

How is Conflict Vietnam?

>underrated

dude it's considered one of the greatest console FPS games of all time.

This shit right here is GOAT with Complete.

this game was one of the only turn based RPG's besides Super Mario rpg/Paper Mario 1-2 i could finish. Shit was awesome, the fight where you join Gandalf and fuck the Balrog up

...

HSV Adventure Racing is the superior version desu.

Pretty fun game that I never hear being talked about

>try to recruit too many people
>"IM NOT YOUR HUCKLEBERRY"

...

This and the Dave Mirra BMX games

>tfw entering the korean base
>rushing to this huge fucker while planes where bombing the shit out of you
>you could actually take control of it

i appreciated those trevor gtav missions that were very similar to smuggler's run

HOLY FUCK I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE.
THIS GAME WAS FUCKING AMAZING.

2 is a very interesting game. It's not great or even good, but it's just mediocre and short enough at the core to power through it for the interesting bits, like the found footage stuff like making headshots mosaic'd out, how guns blew out the mic, and how brutally ugly and vicious the characters are. Its only about 2-3 hours and I'd say worth it the time.

YOOOOOOOOOOOO
The ONLY time I've ever seen this game mentioned. I have spent innumerable hours in that big open stunt arena. That trike, them orc and devil girl characters, that SOUNDTRACK BABY

>HOLY FUCK I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE.
fuck off you underage retard. everyone played smuggler's run. it was one of the first games for the ps2

>ITT

>If it's a Ps2 game from your childhood it's automatically underrated.

I am too old.

Made me think.

I saw DS version of this thread while back, had like 20 posts.

It's amazing how awful you are at understanding attempts at camaraderie.

>Roll into a nork artillery base in an APC full of Chinese soldiers
>Order them to dismount
>'Have fun boys'

>Calling in A-10s and F-15s to clear the field of tanks and choppers
>Follow it up with a cluster bomb for the jeeps and infantry

>Those fucking sexy explosions

>The whole Deck of 52 system

>Playing a game set in North Korea in a fairly plausible scenario

This game was great, really should have been huge. Such a shame the sequel was garbage and Pandemic folded.

Spartan: Total Warrior was my favorite game for so long

I always got the biggest bus I could find, and spent like 10 minutes honking around the russain HQ to get everyone on board, then I'd just drive up and honk to make them get out. For some reason it was really fun for me to just watch the two armies go at it.

Then when I had enough, I'd knock out the target and call in the chopper while the firefight was still going on so it would be...more badass I guess.

>HDTV 480p
what

PEACH FM IS MY SHIT
PUSH KINGS ARE MY SHIT
EVERYWHERE ROAD TRIP IS MY SHIT
COCONUT ADVERTISING IS MY SHIT

He said underrated not overrated.

i have nothing in common with you retarded neo Cred Forums shit heads. maybe if you stop being wrong like thinking you're the only one that played a game that literally everyone played i wouldn't call you out on your stupid shit

I remember having a ton of fun with this but I think if I played it now I wouldn't have the patience for it.

thank you user.
i couldnt remember the name of this game.

It was an exaggeration. I'm not even the guy who originally said it. I just think you're a shitty person. If you don't have anything in common with the people here, I'd suggest moving to reddit.

How does this game emulate? The PS2 version runs at like 15 fps. I remember it being really tough at times, to the point of being complete bullshit.

Still enjoyed its depressing and bleak atmosphere, don't know why they went all wacky and shit in the sequel.

ok, but the game play was mind numbing. saying that was the point seems just like an excuse to me and if it was the point then why should it get praised for intentionally being bad? fuck you. i also never once felt like a villain since every decision was out of my control. usually when you grow up you stop worrying about and dwelling on things you can't control. i guess spec ops the line is great for 12 year old kids and mentally stunted adults

...

Cred Forums is reddit/ifunny/neogaf and that's the problem. why don't you go back to wherever you wandered from, faggot?

I guarantee if you had been here for as long as you're implying you would have chilled out more. It's cute seeing you try and fit in though. Here's that last (you).

Man this game was so fucking rad. I'm not even a huge fan of those types of games but I put so much hours into ATV 2 just playing it with my brother, or with my friends. Good times.

It made the jump to 360/PS3 with a terrible first person shooter that was immediately forgotten. The series disappeared into obscurity after that.

Such a shame, because I really loved the franchise. Nice to see it getting some love in this thread though.

Same dude, I always liked watching AI fight each other, made me feel like I wasn't the only thing the enemy NPCs cared about

I spent like 4 hours dicking around with PCSX2 trying to get it to work and never came out with anything playable. The closest I could get still had a full second of input delay.

>fit in
>anonymous image board

>Here's that last (you).

couldn't be any more of a blatant newfag redditor/ifunny faggot if you tried, kid.

What about the Xbox version using Xbox 360 backwards compatibility?

WHAT ABOUT A FUCKING PC RE-RELEASE EA, AND THEN A SEQUEL?

Been playing this on my Xbox again. I forgot how fast things could escalate, and now much fun catching the aces are. I only just got the clubs.

>pile a jeep with c4
>roll toward checkpoint and dive out at the last second
>detonate the c4
>everything leveled
>bad guys team rocket into the horizon

HE'S PEELIN' MEEEEE!

...

the standard for HD changes constantly, HD was even used the 80s to sell new tvs

Anyone else?

Too many yearly release style games, they struck gold once with the original Desert Storm but had no idea how to evolve the series from there. They made a bunch of clones and audience fatigue set in, as a last gasp they tried to break into the FPS market and failed hard.

tvs had the same "resolution" for fucking ever, they were just lying if they actually did that

...

Yeah, just saw a guy scrape and scratch pic related back to health

I had shit ton of fun with this, it was probably not al lthat great, played it long time ago.

>americans have a giant us flag on their cover

I pretty much play all sorts of games except realistic racers, fighters, and sports games but I usually demand a good story. Action/Adventure would have to be my favorite genre of games to play.

>playing multi with friends
>mfw picking the general guy and spamming artillery

Why did Foley have to die?

I've been meaning to pick this up, but I've gotten the impression that it's super short and mechanically shallow. I can't justify the price tag with this in my mind.

...

...

...

>playing freeroam with my mate

>trying to use the frozen waterfall as a ramp to fly out of the level

Where can I play this?

M67. I LOVE M67.

the third person here. only newfags call newfags newfags. 06'er here and you are piece of shit.

thats not rush 2

hundreds of hours playing this and the sequel co-op with my uncle

shit was lit senpai

That's also not Carmageddon 2

there's a glitch where a certain sound clip crashes the game near the china hq

>I can't justify the price tag with this in my mind.
It's 20 bucks, dude.

cramageddon sucks chaz bonos little stretch out composed of fat and greased dick

Dat music, goddamn. Ballata Per Un Pistolero, man.

There was a PC release, I remember playing the demo of it.

It's 50NZD here in this stupid country. That's like more than three hours work, I'd rather get something better with that money. I'm thinking about waiting for the price drop or bundle that happens when the second one comes out, or I might try get it second hand. Alternatively I could spend the money and return it for a full refund if I can beat it in a week.

Played this again recently. It's actually pretty shit.

holy fuck i've been trying to remember the name of this game for years thankyou user

This happened to me too :(

But seriously, Cred Forums rants about games being downgraded for last gen, this game was monumentally downgraded. The ps2 version was so fucking bad.

I spent HOURS off-roading to places that were very hard to get to

Chase the Tuk Tuk

Those loading times and that difficulty though...

I returned it the next day almost in tears.

I cried real tears and put it away in my shelf. I have no idea what happened to it and I don't care to know either

...

Wow, I loved that game when I was a kid. Haven't seen it in years.

Endless fun.

Holy fuck. user with god tier taste.

Square Enix will never return to this gem with a beautiful remake in sprites, updated quests/logs with even more lore tacked on with the ability to reobtain former companions.

Such a underrated game.

I always wanted a sequel for this.

...

It came out after the hype for the movies had subsided a bit, that's why fewer people played it.

I dig Gun & still own it to this day, but you're a stupid idiot if you think it's better than RDR.

...

Played the shit out of it
Too bad the series is dead

I could never get the hang of the controls to this.
Also I was the coolest kid ever showing all my friends this game because it had swearing in it.

Tfw the games doesnt work on windows10

Maybe i should do a older pc with Windows 2000\XP just for older games

>mfw an rts has whitesnake in

I wish I still owned this game.

or just a VM. Or get an old xbox.

>image.jpg
hellooooooooo reddit

why are the console spinoff sims games always the best?
seriously even the shit ones like The DS sims 2 game where you run a hotel are pretty good at whatever they try to do

On mobile pal, can't rename images on my iPhone 5sTM

>On mobile pal, can't rename images on my iPhone 5sTM
thank you for proving my point

why are you so bitter

yeah, the pc version of this isn't good in comparison.
sims 2 pets for DS was fun too, you were a vet

Yeah, I'm playing it on my hacked Xbox right now and it's not that great. I'm only playing it for the sake of nostalgia

...

even a few of the PC sims spinoffs are allright
like that sims 3 medeival was great, its only problem was an extreme lack of content due to the fact that it was abandoned shortly after release because it wasn't what the typical PC sims fans were expecting

The Sims Medieval was pretty fucking cool, I want another fantasy town management game.

yeah, by memory sims medeival was made as a result of people loving the fuck out of a tomb exploring feature/quest type thing in one of the early sims 3 expansions,
but because medieval wasn't didn't focus on the usual sims shit it bombed pretty hard

This is litteraly LITTERALY the best game i've ever played

>not even joking

I never played this and still remember the opening when it was played on Cinematech.

youtube.com/watch?v=ZerrPE-N-MU

Only if Rik Mayall could do the voice overs again.

DON'T LOVE ME QUIETLLY

user, you're thinking about Goldeneye
