I come to see what everyone is playing. Maybe see something cool about a game that I ignored and end up getting it.

Because I'm too unmotivated to find a hobby or develop useful skills in my free time but I have too short of an attention span to really play any video games anymore, or watch movies or TV shows for that matter.

My daily routine consists of Work, shitposting, sleep.

I like to be challenged on my opinions, regardless if the person is competent or not to have an actual discussion. Its how I spend time between classes really.

When I'm bored, I come here to shut down anyone posting objectively incorrect information on a game I've played, whether I like it or not.

There's nothing more satisfying than the feeling you get when you point out how wrong someone is, they stop posting, and you know they're either lurking angrily or completely abandoned the thread.

Because I work at gamestop and Cred Forums bitches about literally aspect of basically every game ever created, so if someone has some obscure question about some shitfest of a game I've never played I'll usually just spew inane shit I've seen from Cred Forums. They still buy the game most of the time.

Cred Forums is a bastion of free speech, lots of people will sit and talk about embarrassing things and be extremely honest since they are anonymous, there are some trolls, but mostly, when it's not children, it's nerds acting like nerds, politically incorrect, weird, degenerate nerds.

if you can filter through the kids and the trolls, Cred Forums is like some weird base level of human communication. It has it's own culture that is, on one level or another, understood by it's users, yet these people have never met, they share weird obscure rules in their mind.

As far as I'm aware Cred Forums is the only lively general-videogame board that isn't outrageously over moderated, so that's why I still come here. I like discussing videogames but an outlet to spew garbage is valuable, especially since they're fucking videogames.

To talk about video games. Nobody talks about the games I want to talk about but all I play is multiplayer shit all day since I haven't had a freelance gig in a while.

Since I can't discuss video games I spent a majority of my time on the board reporting thread derailers, shitposting, husbando threads, every furry thread that pops up and everything in between.

I like talking video games but it happens so rarely. Makes me wish I had used the text boards when they were still here. How do we bring those back?

Because as badly as it's infested with shitposters it's still one of the only places you can go on the internet where people have critical discerning opinions about video games and don't swallow bullshit whole. Spent a few years enjoying Cred Forums, pure anonymity, genuine funny images and discussion with total nerds.

Then as internet got more easily available the "normie" invasion has begun, suddenly people talking about relationship problems, then the whole beta alpha thing, the insecurity was insufferable. Fled to Cred Forums for a while but gave up on Cred Forums around 2010.

To be completely honest I have no fucking idea why I'm back. Unemployed and just too much free time I guess. As soon as I have an income again I'm outta here.
