But how can I resist playing dress up with a super cute girl?
Even if you play dress up with the boy I severely doubt you can make that meek little faggot handsome, so what's the point of playing the boy?

I have been playing as the girl in every generation that allowed it except Black and White.

But getting friendly with attractive female characters is a lot more satisfying if you're playing as a male character yourself.
So if the game lacks attractive and involved female characters, then there is absolutely no reason no to play as the girl. But if the game does have attractive and involved female characters, it creates an incentive for playing as the boy. If that makes sense.
