Yes actually, for example in Overwatch I was playing Zarya, and because of voice comms we were able to coordinate my ult with my team mates positioning to get a full teamwipe, it wouldn't have been possible without the voice comms because it was necessary for some of my team mates to signal that they were in position.

When playing Battlefield I usually play as a gunner, telling my driver about incoming enemies or enemies trying to flank us has gotten us saved plenty of times. Though that was with people on teamspeak, and not with randoms who for some reason always refuse to listen to whatever I have to say (I wonder why).

If you played CS you'd also understand how important callouts can be, but I don't play that game much so I don't have any specifics to mention.

It seems to me you are just dismissing how important or helpful voice comms can be, for whatever reason you choose to, but I think voice comms is very good. Even if you can type something, why type it and lose control over your mouse and character when you can press push to talk and say it faster and without losing control?

Like in KF2, I call out when I see a scrake or fleshpound (big threats) so the guys who can handle them before shit hits the fan deal with them early, rather than just seeing it and standing still open to attacks + wasting time either typing it down

yeah well there is a HUGE difference between using Teamspeak with your friends and using voicechat ingame with complete strangers. your Battlefield example is something I do too but I just cant trust some random guy that is coincidently in my team.
