It's dead because it takes 20 minutes to get into a match

because the matches take 40-60 minutes. MOBAs can get away with this because being free ensures there's a massive playerbase. Overwatch and CoD matches are 10 minutes

and three different modes splits the playerbase into three different lobbies, further killing matchmaking

It'd be one thing if the single-player was a tutorial that people did once and never again, but Gearbox in their infinite wisdom decided to gate half the unlocks, achievements, and heroes behind the PvE stages. So half the people you could be playing with are grinding for hero unlocks in the shitty-writing mode you don't want to play

All they needed to do was make a MOBA style Borderlands.

A simplified RPG level up system, procedurally generated weaponry, vehicles and outposts.

Three sides- Crimson Raiders with Vault Hunters; Hyperion forces and Bandits with their own elite members.

In fact this could be the way to save Battleborn- F2P with an official Borderlands mod.

They already have the engine for it and they can reuse existing assets and lore from the BL series.

Imagine leading a group of Crimson Raiders to take on a Bandit outpost, while your teammates defend your base against a Hyperion attack.

Secondary objectives throughout the map that make outposts easier to conquer, cripple enemy defenses or boost your own. Or even wreckages containing great gear and weaponry.

she's not actually a knight but that seems an appropriate term due to british accent and sword play
she's LLC so she acts more like a scientist than an actual knight. her skillset is based around short range teleports and she can fire off the floating swords as missiles
