Having played the Odin Sphere remake and then going back to Dragon's Crown, boy that game could've benefitted from the same kind of mini map that OS used, where all you can see are the bare geometries and animations without textures. Would've made playing the game less of a hassle.

In my opinion it was a pretty poor design decision to have all the really game changing shit gear locked in ultra high level update content.

There should have been shittier versions of all that stuff with unique modifiers available early on.

There's a lot of downtime between levels, there's not a lot of levels and it expects you to replay them over and over to make up for that.

Handheld origins are transparent in areas like the simplicity of the main town.

Mechanically it's quite good, dodges and quickslots out the ass, but the physical classes's skills are usually passive or item-based which isn't great.

Overall, p. fun but room for improvement.

Yes I love this game, my only gripe with it is that it's not set up for multplayer all that well.

When I say that I mean that the menu system sucks. You all have to individually pick up quests and hand them in each, the same for repairs and so on.

Other than that, it's a shitload of fun and I recommend getting three friends and playing locally on the PS3 like I did.

Yeah, even I'm having trouble trying to fit those two and other classes in.
I would imagine Cleric would hit weaker than Fighter does, but she would be able to heal directly and have another way of supporting the group. Turn/Destroy Undead would be her ultimate spell.
Thief would be just fun to rack up combos and increase spoil drops even more.

Single Player isn't bad. It just means you will have sub-par companions since they can't swap kits between dungeons, which is an issue for items that need replenishment.

If you have homebrew enabled on your Vita you can overclock the GPU for some pretty crazy gains.

Entirely possible to play alone. Probably even better than with ai buddies. A bit harder of course, but also learn a lot about the game and how to play the best. Other players make it too easy often times. Also the battles are less chaotic.

Some classes are less suited to play alone, but Amazon is probably the best for solo-play.
