Or are you actually taking offense by the imaginative characters that some people thought up? The only thing that can be anti here, is your imagination. All it takes is a bit of common sense to not align imagination/fantasy with real life and you're good.

It's usually a slippery slope when it comes to putting "realistic" women into video games.
Put a standard size 8 woman in, it's unrealistic body standards (despite that being the world average).
Put a size 12 woman in, why isn't she black?
Make her black, why does she have a stereotypical black attitude?
Give her another personality, why are you trying to cover up black culture?
Put callouts to her heritage, why don't we have non-binary representation?

Easier just to stick with what we have and deal with the flak - that way all devs are guilty, and so all are innocent.

Of course, the alternative is having a cast full of "socially progressive" read: degenerate characters, but at that point it's so pandering that it IS unrealistic.
In addition, the characters are defined by their (possible lack of) gender, sexuality, appearance, as opposed to being fully fleshed out characters.
That's how you can tell a character is pandering. Nobody likes a character that's obnoxious about their sexuality (i.e. Donte), but whenever a tumblrina character appears, the devs make sure to emphasise it in every possible situation.
In this case, having a degenerate is fine as long as they just are normal.
A good female character will be a male character with tits.
A good gay character would be a straight character who just happens to like dick.
A good trans character would be just kidding, trans are irredeemable.
It would be easy to do, but as previously stated, SJWs are never satisfied.
