how the fuck are they gonna bring him back if he's not allowed to practise in the US/Japan?

Reminder that best Pursuit theme is Pursuit - Cornered

>these Khura'inese pun names

They're too fucking good, whoever was put in charge of them had too much fun. Nothing can beat Pees'lubn Andistan'dhin, Datz Are'bal or Rheel Neh'mu

Dark age of law

Pack it up, boys, the piano wins the Apollobowl.

So...was he executed or what?

Isnt he still allowed to practice in Khura'in?

Pretty fucked up how he actually tried to get Phoenix executed by suggesting a death penalty for Ahlbi

>Inga Karkhuul Haw'kohd Dis'nahm Bi'ahni Lawga Ormo Pohmpus Da'nit Ar'edi Iz Khura'in III

Gaspin a shit, Winston would be ashamed

This one made me chuckle

I'm retarded, haven't gotten Datz or Ingas's whole puns.

Does Kee'ra = Killer count?

Played both danganronpas back-to-back earlier this year and damn I didn't realized how I missed good old-fashioned trials without arcadey shit, timers and horrible mini-games ruining the pacing. Just you, your evidence and your deliberate thinking to back it up.

Lady Killer, yes.

I knew the payne brothers were scum, but man.

Honestly thought this was the best original song they had in the game.

youtube.com/watch?v=gtrEk6zagtE

To be fair AA has its own share of dumb gimmicks

Mood matrix is garbage

>Original

On the contrary, I played DR2 during the drought between AJ and DD and I liked how the DR guys -aren't- seemingly pulling shit out thin air all the time.

Getting into one of those "present evidence" parts and seeing Hinata say "of course, I'll present that evidence!" instead of Phoenix panicking internally thinking "oh shit gotta present anything quick and see if they believe me" was a good change of pace.

Also Perceive is stupid gimmicky bullshit.

>end of apollo's asinine attorney
>turns into japanifornia tourism propaganda at the end

lel

What's the Inga Karkhuul part?

>brothers

Wiston is clean though. Hell, he's the only prosecutor who is completely clean and doesn't use gimmicks in court.

Winston may be a dumb shit...but he's an honest dumb shit.

Mysterious
Buckwheat
Soaring

Mood Matrix is much better than Apollo's perceive. At least you get new pics - some even quite funny - and a great theme.

Delete this.
I always enjoyed his perceive ability.

I've never hated an animation more than I hate Nahyuta's pose where he has the butterfly land on his hand

I know there's a bunch of other long ones but for some reason I just hated waiting for the damn butterfly every five seconds

Perceive is the worst gimmick

I used to enjoy it but it feel pointless now. I'm glad they took it out of court.

youtube.com/watch?v=auWSVFxoDTg

This.
Perceive is boring and annoying as hell.

youtube.com/watch?v=g3s1aqSCEd8

best song and best villain coming through.

I'm glad every case in SoJ was good.
Turnabout Storyteller might be my favorite though.
Best witnesses, best co-defense.

I Just finished the 3rd case of the new game
What a Fucking wild ride that was, if you told me about it without context I'd think it was the last case of the game.

Same with the 2nd one, fucking ruse cruise

>he liked Turnabout Storyteller
The most entertaining part was me imagining the localization team on the verge of total breakdown when translating the case.

N O N C A N O N

Does that mean in canon, Apollo would have accepted his offer?

>Ah'non Ihmus TBD

>Not enjoying based Blackquill
C'mon son

Probably not after the revolution.

I don't know I always used to enjoy how you got an up close look at the suspect and could notice smaller details when they talk that you usually couldn't before.

Case 4 of SoJ isn't very good

NO TRICKS OR GIMMICKS

Bun or bat?

It's the most boring gimmick. There's nothing fun in slowly repeating the same sentence over and over while searching for the witness to start scratching his balls or whatever.
>mfw Beh'leeb removes her widow veil and Defiant Dragons music starts playing

>Winston's daughter Yura still isn't a real thing
>Winston will never be BTFO by her own attorney daughter in the courtroom

Nah it's good. My only problem is how fucking out of place it is.

Honestly, the only cases I really disliked from the begining aka worst cases were:
2-2, 2-3, AJ, 5-2, 5-4

I must fucking train those coin moves.

I like 6-4 but I yeah the placement is weird and messes up the pacing but maybe that's what they were intending? Just a shorter filler case in between two much longer ones.

you forgot Mr. Reus

>Mysterious

yeah I love his animations, they're cool as fuck.

Bat

Man, these 3D models hit the style SO GOOD

>"That's why my grandfather kicked you out of the Troupe. That attitude towards magic..."

>meanwhile Magnifi used a botched magic trick to control two people with blackmail

Ace Attorney gimmicks at least operate as a part of a trials and used as another way to draw out an information from witnesses. Danganronpa minigames served to padding up for a straight information handout.

And don't bully my girl Athena, mood matrix is the shit and they had a right idea how to improve it with presenting evidence to emotion in 6-4.

Bun buns

There is a such a thing as being too pure, and Trucy is definitely it.

The release of 6 made me want to play through the series.

I've already played 1 and 5 so naturally I bought the AA Trilogy yesterday, and I started 2, which, I heard, was the worst of the series.

Only did case 1 from AA2 and it was rather good, I hope it says the same.
I heard 3 was the best and I hope it's true too

It's a breather case. I honestly enjoyed it, because things were getting too intense and I needed something more relaxing and funny, but I can understand that not everyone feels that way.

>5-4

what?

Magnifi is an asshole, this much we know

Haven't AJ in a while, but could you refresh my memory on the whole blackmail thing? I assume the two people are Zak and Valant.

>I bought the AA Trilogy yesterday
>Buying the version with vomit inducing art
Man you should have just emulated.

2 is the worst, 3 is fantastic, yes.

>Danganronpa minigames served to padding
Hangman's Gambit and Logic Dive I'll give you, but Rebuttal Showdown was a cool gimmick for one-on-one discussions and the manga is fucking amazing. Don't you go dissing my boy culprit-kun

but etc, this is not the thread for that. also athena a qt

Don't worry, only the third case is bad in the second game.

All games in the series are worth playing anyway

>AJ

I can never take retards like you seriously

>work in retail
>make change disappear in front of the customer's eyes
A man can dream.

>3 was the best
Maybe in the trilogy, but AAI2 takes the spot for best game in the series.

Basically one of them messed up during "Zak and Valant's Quickdraw Shoot Em Up" and shot Thalassa

Magnifi told them that she died and held it over their heads until his own death

Both at the same time.

This

Not that guy but the only good case in that game is the tutorial one.

I mean 5-5 was great, but 5-4...
It felt just like introduction to 5-5. And the victim wasn't interesting.

that was honestly such a fantastic reveal

6-2 was really good, reus was boss nigga too with best theme

Yeah, by adding evidence to emotions it actually turns into a helpful gimmick to break a testimony without always relying on the usual formula. It should also stay a gimmick related to witnesses who are just confused and don't remember things very well.

Oh right right just remembered it.
Gramaryes are a shit family

Yeah ok, Apollofag, now go back and enjoy your favorite worst game in the series.

>Go and enjoy your game

Uhh, thanks? I will

>the manga
DR has a manga?

>mfw a main mystery of Nolan's The Prestige is just another midcase twist for Ace Attorney

Two things I hated about Spirit of Justice

>Literally everyone insults you at every possible corner, it's just fucking annoying after so long
>Athena is a fucking joke and made case 4 Unbearable

pretty good game though

>Enjoy your game faggot haha

You're very welcome

Apollo Justice is a badly written game.

But I'm saying it - it has a great soundtrack and the best pursuit theme.
youtube.com/watch?v=Cofz_YxBXa0

I'm pretty sure 4 and 5 in DD actually were the same case, but they split them to fill the 5 case quota. On the other hand, 5 in SoJ honesty felt like two cases mashed together, the civil trial and the Khura'in one. I wonder if they were originally separate.

This. Much better than the one in DD. I think it's because they remove/reduced the outer line.

5-4/5-5 is the same case, so just count them as that

This man is correct

AJ ranks in top 3 for soundtrack, easily. Cross examination theme was great, individual character themes were great.

>2, which, I heard, was the worst of the series.
It redeems itself in the end.

Some of the characters actually look better than the original sprites, at least on 3DS.
Animations look a bit more stiff because of some missing frames, but it's not that bad.
It's a passable way to play the original trilogy.

I have nothing against people, who can actually enjoy AJ. Just muh personal opinion.
If counting 5-4/5 as one, then it's good. I just think they could have made it one case, sort of like 6-5. Anyway I didn't see the final twist coming.

I loved AJ soundtrack, it was pretty much the only thing that kept me awake while playing it. I still don't like Apollo, but god I'm so glad that they've actually put some effort in improving him, despite the massive asspulls regarding his backstory.

>Make point in court
>Sad Monk pulls some new bullshit evidence out to discount it
>Insults you and calls you names for 5 minutes

Let go and move on, user.

He is good because of point 2. He always does it, and is actively trying for a guilty verdict. That's what people want in a prosecutor. A guy being a prosecutor.

Nah, after that reveal is when the fun starts.

Apollo finding out about Dhurke's death is by far one of the best moments in the series. The God-tier song only made it better.

youtube.com/watch?v=-L29-dbnY7k

>It's a Simon "Weeaboo" Blackquill episode

He's better than Klavier atleast.

Sucks for Ema that she gets stuck with these sorta guys actually (and in the AAI games her inclusion feels like an afterthought, unfortunately). We didn't really get the Phoenix & Ema case I was hoping for in AA6 either, but oh well.

murder

I don't have a pic, but pretty much telling the queen to fuck off when she said to retract his accusation while having her guards pointing guns at him. Apollo was legit based as fuck in this game

>That's a rebel

Oh, I thought it was "That's horrible".

It's Larry done right

Why bring him back? His brother's still around. Winston may be arrogant, egotistical and incompetent, but he's at least better than his brother.

>all these fucking flashbacks

The Maya/Rayfa flashback has popped up in the last case three times so far alone. This is starting to drive me insane.

I was horribly one sided and yeah didn't go anywhere. Maybe we'll see her again.

Best dad

Legit cried when I found out he was dead.

>First game I haven't used a guide for at any point is SoJ

Not sure if it's just because I'm not a teenager with the attention span of a flea anymore or if the games are getting easier.

Everyone keeps pointing out how Apollo showed much more competency in Phoenix in this game,

and now even the fucking dlc skits have phoenix ruining someone's life while APOLLO earns everybody a happy fun day off work

>Apollo starts sweating heavily, pleading to Ema that he's wrong for once
Oh god this is gonna hit hard

>I've positively identified the body as...
>Dhurke Sahdmahdi
>Apollo goes nuclear
Couldn't help but tear up. Felt so bad for the guy.

>or a god

Same, actually.

Hopefully it's the former.

Jesus fucking christ this

More pointless flashbacks than a dragon ball z episode

It's been three years since DD came out and it still hurts when I remember that Fulbright was dead all along.

>6-5 séance
>Inga calls to his henchman
>Warbaa'd, explosion, laughter
Fucking Datz why did you have to be so suspicious.

Kill, channel and kill again

hey man if he hadn't been a jackass we wouldn't have been able to do shit

It was only months ago that he lost his best friend. Pretty fucked up that he also now loses his father figure right after they start reconnecting again.
>He wanted to spend more time with Dhurke once the trial was over
God damn you Capcom why do you hate Apollo

That genuinely depressed me. It gets worse when you know that's exactly how he would act since the spy was that good.

Phantom made me paranoid as fuck for SoJ. Suspected everyone of stabbing me in the back at some point.

That was a fun trial

Even worse when you think that the original one probably really had that sort of personality. After all nobody suspected anything even after he replaced him.

Datz being a dick to Ahlbi leads to a key piece of evidence that helps Apollo bring down Ga'ran

Lucky coincidence or master planning?

We were supposed to be brothers in JUSTICE

;-;

I ship Apollo and Ema. Now that they are both Foreigners in Khurain, its bound to happen right??

Really? I didn't feel that way for Datz though, the scene after Nick uses the magatama on him pretty much makes it clear that he really is a bro.

>People want Maya back
>She finally comes back
>Gets held hostage and is a suspect twice in the same game

So did she kill herself in prison, or did she actually get the fucking death penalty?

Why...

>Datz
>planning

She was hanged.

>shipping

Let it go, and move on.

She was given the death penalty and executed

>Truly loves her shit biological dad more than she loves Nick
>Polly moved to India
>Athena prefers working with a prosecutor over him

Is Nick a cuck?

That's literally her only purpose in every game where she appears. Nick is much better off keeping a safe distance from her.

...

I don't know, he kept appearing and disappearing so conveniently it seemed suspicious to me.
Glad I was wrong.

What...What would possess someone to make this?

got you covered senpai

losing both of his dads was the last step to unlocking his wrath jesus christ

Makes me think that they think people only play for 10 minutes every few days.

>Founders Orb has no real relevance until the very end of 6-5

what the fuck, i wanted to know the Founder's real name

I thought they would channel her or something

...

It's the iOS HD port.

Thanks famalam.
Now all he has to do is lose his biological mother to become the Elder God of Savagery

>that art
fuck man it's so bad what where they thinking.
Those original sprites are so good too.

I never saw that coming. He must have been a good man.. Damn.. Now I feel down as well.

Well yeah, a dragon never yields.

I half expected the Holy Mother to appear at the very end and smite Garan when she tried to channel her. I mean, they already made the supernatural stuff way bigger in this game, might as well go to 11.

Hehe it is, sorry

>Trucy
>too pure

does anyone have a gif of Amara while moving her arms? that looked really cool and then the thunder when she gets angry

Fkn Grmrs!

I expected that too, but I liked her going fucking insane and the guards turning on her better.

I expect for them to reveal that the Founder's Orb and Crystal of Ami Fey were one and same. Thought it would mean the Founder was actually Ami Fey

IT IS JUST FOR A MAGIC TRICK

They finally reached the level of the Core themes of the trilogy
youtube.com/watch?v=Hd_VBRY9zOU
youtube.com/watch?v=giAgPUuBh54

I can't believe they made this joke.

Rayfa's VA is so unfitting for a 14 year old. I thought she was Trucy's age when I first saw her. Imagine that voice yelling "Nincompoop!"

naw that shits creepy

All the VA sucks.
Bring back Ben Judd.

...

I thought this too.

I thought this would lead to Maya becoming queen or something.

It gets worse.

Everyone in that troupe was an asshole. Trucy got out there before she became one too.

And even more.

>Rayfa gets voice acting and 5 minute cutscene every trial
>Maya finally does a proper spirit channeling and gets nothing

How's that worse tho? I'm not sure if I missed some joke or something

I know it's a dude but Kisegawa made my dick hard

>Nothing
She had a cool ass cutscene as well

I still can't believe they actually went for this. It was pretty ballsy of them

What about Owen?

I literally had no doubts about his loyalty after that scene. Maybe I'm just too careless.

So, "courtesan" is not just her job in the rakugo act, right?

This is a Japanifornian 5-year-old.

mfw the "animation" of Apollo using the lighter on the Orb

holy shit I've seen N64 games with better animation

post the fucking webm

I wish I could vote for all of them...
Simon takes the cake, but all of them are great. I think the ones I like least are SUCH INSOLENCE and EXTRATERRITORIAL RIGHTS.

Would like explanation pls senpai

she's probably good at hate sex tho

On the bright side, it makes his losing animation so much better.

I don't think so. Uendo still said he was a Rakugo artist. So I think that's just "her" job as that personality.

I don't have it user

So far Maya has been accused of murder 4 times, and kidnapped twice.

Yeah like a freaking mantis, that eats your head during sex.

...

Death penalty. She had the highest body count in AA at the time also.

3 murders and 2 attempted murders

She also saves the entirety of Khura'in legal system through her channeling, bringing the horribleness of the DC Act to light, and bringing Apollo to Khura'in to finish his father's work. Plus she's your sidekick in the DLC case.

Pretty good time to be a Maya fag.

Open up the limit,
Past the point of no return,
You've reached the top,
But still you gotta learn how to keep it

I got you senpai...kinda.

Holy shit Dahila why are you so fucking evil? Fuck.

A freaking demon DEMON!

Let it go, move on.

...

What the fuck was his problem?

Was this the best case 1 in the series?

just a test bro

>writers expecting me not to know how DID works

I WON'T SWALLOW YOUR LIES

...

>not The Last Rites Prosecutor
I love Edgeworth and Blackquill but Nahyuta's theme is the best prosecutor theme in the series hands down.

>he played the games out of order

3-1 and 4-1 are still better

Metal Jesus still was a funny opponent, but the case really went excessively long compared to the actual mistery

3-1, 4-1, and 5-1 are better. Still pretty good though.

Absolutely not. It was fucking trash.

It was all a prank

Apollo Justice is a shit clusterfuck with awful cases, a spotlight-stealing NPC, and both a villain and prosecutor that had amazing concepts but awful execution.

If 6-2 was in AJ it could have unfucked its shit majorly, that case did an insane amount for Trucy and Apollo's characters and drove home how she was going to succeed such a shitty Troupe full of assholes.

Takumi got fucked by having to put Nick in his game but it doesn't excuse him from making an awful game.

And yet AAI was worse.

At least AJ had a story worth giving a fuck about.

>Apollo Justice is a shit clusterfuck with awful cases,
Only bad case is 4-3. 4-2 is average and 4-1 and 4-4 are good.
>a spotlight-stealing NPC,
Agreed.
>and both a villain and prosecutor that had amazing concepts but awful execution.
What was wrong with their execution?
>If 6-2 was in AJ it could have unfucked its shit majorly, that case did an insane amount for Trucy and Apollo's characters and drove home how she was going to succeed such a shitty Troupe full of assholes.
What did 6-2 do for Apollo's character? Trucy got good, and needed, development, but Apollo didn't have any.

Is AA6 the first mainline game with no bad cases?

no, case 4 is bad

Except you are wrong

Make way for the best track
youtube.com/watch?v=hbNzlCdMbfY

>case 4
>bad
It was oddly placed but that's it.

>case 4 is bad
No.

It just slows the pace of the game, it's a filler before the final case(s).

>The way he just fucking walks away from the stand
I lost my shit

It had an extremely basic setup without even an investigation.

It would have been a lot better if Nahyuta hadn't been there and Blackquill had prosecuted instead, but on its own it's still not great.

>Especially the last one with Butz.
I'd say it's the weakest case in the game. It's kinda dumb and not too interesting. Still worth playing for all the classic characters and the defendant is fun.

Case 1 is bad and so is the DLC.
Case 4 is also shitty filler.

Only good cases are 2, 3 and 5.

Snap out of the honeymoon phase already.

>ywn get a royal shoulder massage from Rayfa

Apollo is such a faggot.

Case 1 is fine
Case 4 is filler but it's fucking good filler. It also didn't outlast its welcome.

>Case 1 is fine
No, it's not. It's fucking garbage.
Overly dragged on and it made no fucking sense.
It's 2-1 tier bad.

>it made no fucking sense.
Maybe that's your problem?

How did it make no sense?

BANZAI! BANZAI! BANZAI!

Klavier never had any moment where he really had to deal with the fact that his brother and bandmates were criminals and betrayed his trust. He just rolled with it. There was no struggle to his character, no development for him. He just helped you out constantly and went on his merry way. He could have been so much more.

Kristoph needed much more buildup. The idea of a defense lawyer being so obsessed with the law is an amazing concept. But they just whiffed on him. I'll admit this is more just a personal feeling but I felt underwhelmed by Kristoph, maybe because you nail him in the first case already even though you get his breakdown at the end.

4-1 is fucking great and 4-4 is ok. 4-2 is awful. Wocky is far and away the worst defendant in the series and has no redeeming qualities. 4-3, obviously, is dogshit as well.

Apollo needed 6-2 because Nick puts his entire trust in him to do everything himself to save the office and Trucy. Apollo stands on his own and doesn't have Nick lurking around him holding his hand. He needed that case in order to legitimize him compared to Nick, which then pays off massively in 6-5.

>oh shit he will notice the box is empty if he grabs it

>uhh maybe I should have put a rock on it or something? Nah lol

>people coming out of the honeymoon phase and recognizing SoJ as the shit game it is
Thank fucking god, this place has been insufferable.

I wonder if that lighter in 6-5 was Apollo's, he whipped it out pretty quick.

Yes it was. 6th one's the charm

>Being this wrong
Consider euthanasia my man

>hmmm I really want that treasure. Should I just destroy the box to take it and claim the robber did it?

>nah lol, let's open the box in the only secret way I could open it xD

>people
It's just one person
>Also stop liking what I don't like!
Pathetic, feel free to leave anytime. Nobody's forcing you to stay

Guys what was in Trucy's purse

>honeymoon phase
Doubt that'll happen with AA6. Even after analyzing and thinking about the game for a week my only big issues with the game are still all gameplay related, the story is fucking fantastic.

A giant dildo with Apollo's name written on it

Sorry to disappoint your shitposting brigade, but I think that these threads will stay like this for a good while.

>6-3
>keep waiting for the orb and the picture to be brought up and prove a link between the hideout and the Inmees
>never brought up

>Stop being happy the game turned out well. STOP ENJOYING IT. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Is there a use for the space center leaflet in the Asinine Attorney case?

So much delusion. The game was full of gimmicks and a story that made no sense, and people are massively overrating its cases.

>incompetent police doesn't examine the blood on Rohl's hand and the matching handprint on the box

>lmao dude the box was totally the murder weapon because muh Seances.

>beat game
>go back and watch the infamous GameExplain review
>his complaints make no fucking sense whatsoever

What the fuck was his problem?

You know Winston Payne still exists right?

I don't think he ever did anything wrong other than getting shit on by Mia and Phoenix.

Gaspen, however is a complete and utter piece of shit. I liked when he casually suggested to execute Phoenix.

By all means elaborate on your points.

Autism

ah, so that's where the controls for Athena's vibrator is.

Seems like his critique was that 6-5 didn't make sense and was too complicated, which is bullshit. I'd love to see this fag play something like Zero Escape or Umineko.

>The third Edgeworth game has the real Fullbright in it

>Third Edgeworth game
>In this lifetime
Just...just end my suffering senpai

>notice the orb
>figure it might be the founder's orb
>it goes FUCKING MISSING
>it isn't the founder's orb but it was still relevant

Nick almost always knows exactly what he's doing when the chips are down though. I don't know what the fuck they were doing with his character in 6-1 because in every other case in the game he's confident as fuck.

Perceive is the worst. Having to crawl all over the person's body during a slow text scroll to see something small is just annoying and has no place in court.

It kinda was elaborated on the fact they rarely bothered with forensics, and it was the reason the prosecutor brought Ema in Khura'in

Cut him some slack, he suddenly found himself in a literally absurd situation where the Judge didn't even remember what a cross-examination is.
Not to mention that it was the first time he found his life at stake just because he was trying to do his job.

GOTCHA! YOU'RE SCRATCHING YOUR ELBOW, THAT MEANS YOU'RE LYING!

Is AA6 legitimately the GOTY? Can't think of anything that's come out this year that's in contention, especially since Zero Time Dilemma and Mankind Divided were such disappointments.

go out with and turn her a new leaf

Even after a week I still find almost no flaws in it. They legitimately made a great game. Definitely right behind AAI2 for me.

The DLC is atrocious

Magatama is my favorite gimmick thing and it's so useless in this game. You barely use it and when you do you already have all the evidence you need to break it

Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but why can't he practice law in US/Japan again?

Can't be that bad, can it?

Edgeworth gave him the pink-slip.

I don't think we're ever going to get AA2/AA3 level investigations again, which is a shame.

Edgeworth removed all corrupt prosecutors from office so the only ones left were like him, Blackquill, Nahyuta, and presumably Winston unless he's dead.

I enjoyed 4-3 more

Do lawyers in real life do investigation like in AA?

Yeah, the music is definitely the best thing about the Mood Matrix.

youtube.com/watch?v=mhqfKLwP-XY

>Simon overloading the Mood Matrix by sheer force of will

True, but if it makes you feel any better, the jp VA isn't that much more fitting either.
youtube.com/watch?v=VXfsXCcOcOA

It's a shame. The Pysche-Locks were basically linearity-locks in the original games. They prevented the Investigations from becoming super linear and forced you to investigation other places until you thought you could unlock them. It was a great mechanic and brought a lot of needed gameplay and non-linearity the investigation segments.

Then AA5 made the Investigation segments nearly 100% linear and they haven't recovered. AA6 fixed a lot of the issues with AA5's investigations, namely making every area examinable again and never automatically moving you from location-to-location, but the lack of proper Pysche Locks, or any story locks in general, still hurt the gameplay shitton. The Health Bar not transferring from the Trials to Investigations is also another big negative.

>Trucy is keeping Athena rope escape tricks

>The Health Bar not transferring from the Trials to Investigations is also another big negative.
Does it really matter when a game over just sets you back of an handful of frames?

Teaching not keeping

12 year prank

No, that shouldn't be in the game either. The original Game Over system was better and added tension to your decisions. Even with save scumming you're still wasting your time by having to reload the save and working your way back to the point you game-overed, that's worthy penalty for fucking up.

Reminder: Geiru did nothing wrong.

As an autismo that actively seeks every line of dialogue in the game, not having to save and reload for every single decision is a welcome addition.

>get new VAs
>None of them shout "objection" nearly as good as the old ones

i get VAs need to protect their voice and shit but cmon

Yep.

I know it will but I hope the next game doesn't add another investigation/trial gimmick. Just make the magatama and mood matrix better. Even though I liked the divination seance, I don't want the draw of every game to be some new gimmick

as good as the case was I dont think it comes anywhere near case 1 of DGS

Daily reminder you can play Ace Attorney MULTIPLAYER, as defense/prosecutor/judge/witness, real time, with your user friends, Cred Forums has a server rocking, "Attorney Online Vidya". See

For details on how to download it. Has most characters including guests from other series, doing a trial with Komaeda or Light from 999 is a whole new experience. Adachi too.

This. At least the mood matrix requires some level of thought to it (though not much).

Perceiving is just wandering around until you find something. The only thinking you have to do is determine which part of the statement is a lie, which is usually pretty obvious.

Psyche locks are still the best though. Because all they tell you is that the person is bullshitting you. Nothing else. You still have to prove how they are.

I didn't expect someone to shill this in the thread.

But I guess I'll post funny screenshots then.

I think Dahlia is the best simply because how fucking terrified I was of her when first playing the game.

Also her theme is god tier and still sends chills down my spine to this day.

>not Simon Keyes

Attorney Online.

Simon was cool, but I just didn't get the same vibe from him that I did for Dahlia.

Also completely fucking WRECKING Dahlia at the end was just too satisfying. It was a villain I was so happy to beat.

I didn't even see Simon coming until they actually asked me who the 'mastermind' was.

>so who is it, edgeworth?
>look through profiles
>get to simon
>well, it's probably not him, I mean he-
>OH FUCK

That's the best part about Simon imo, it's the only final boss you don't see coming despite the huge amounts of evidence and foreshadowing pointing to him. Something similar happened with Bobby but that was just shitty writing hiding evidence pointing to him.

POHLUNKA?!

You can't hold it TOO hard over them. Most of what they do makes no sense. It's obvious they were retconned and fucked up when the AA4 direction changed.

>that gay head shaking animation even deep into the case
Dude I've kicked your ass six times and you've changed theories like five times this case. Can you take the douchebaggery down a notch?

Are Mr Reus and the bunnies on this background?

Reminds me of Ar Tonelico

So what did people not like about the second case besides the niggery going on?

>AAI worse than AJ
lol fuck no

I hated that Trucy got away with it scot-free

Wouldn't breakdowns be much better if we could hear the killer's screams of pain as they say "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH"?

I swear the second case of SoJ is based on Attorney Online's usual cases.

>culprit is a magician
>it's all a prank

Yes.
And the judge, too.

>mfw they actually show Dhurke's death

Fucking brutal. I never expected that from this game.

TERRIBLE
SCENE

Trucy idolizing the Gramaryes that much will never not bug me. Hell she can be an idiot and disregard what her dad did to Phoenix if she wants, but also disregarding that her dad abandoned her in the first place too? It doesn't sit right with me.

What do you mean? The thought route/logic synapse/whatever the fuck you call it was very intense and the plot twist was almost as great as "The white hair is L'Belle's!" of DD. The breakdown was amazing too.

The only thing I did not like was how he kept being cocky after the breakdown.

Good, new theme obtained.

Huh? That's a 3DS theme?

Do we got any more high quality art like this?

here's something

>Swims back for Apollo, knowing that if He failed, it would mean that He, Apollo and Maya could die.

>people honestly believe this phantom shit
Fuck you all. Metis was clearly murdered by her mentally unstable daughter. Period. End of discussion.

All this talk about the phantom is nonsense and runs contrary to JUSTICE.

Case 4 is the worst prove me wrong

>tfw I wondered how he could swim with that limp arm of his
>tfw Maya's arm was completely fine

I don't think anyone would try. It was disconnected from everything else and had no investigation. I like Athena and Blackquill enough so I didn't mind but it was obviously just so she would have a case.

Question, do the pixel art themes contain any spoilers? I'm still halfway through case 3 so I am wary of using them.

Nah, they're just the characters doing cutesy pixel art things

Oh, so this is still the only cool fanart from DD?

That's a shame.

Can someone explain ALL name puns? I'm sure I've missed a few

does anyone even record the best trials? I keep thinking only the screencaps are worth it, that the rest of the trial is shit

kek

>tfw I will never get a double Maya-Athena [spoiler[/spoiler] suplex

Pretty much all the streamers but 1 are dead, and the 1 remaining hasn't been able to do much streaming. There were some good trials in the past few months that managed to get recorded though

To be fair, it's REALLY top quality fanart. Almost makes 5-4/5-5 look like serious cases instead of the Shonenshit they ended up being.

I wish Trucy would take that cape off every once in a while so I could see how big them titties are

My sides were not ready for case 6

Case 6?

Here's how old AA5 is now

The second I saw that notebook in case 5 it hit me about Inga's prosopagnosia because I suffer from the same condition.

As someone who actually suffers from the condition though how they handled it was a little off. It's not that you literally don't see faces, it's just that they're utterly unmemorable afterwards. The whole "and they can't remember voices!" thing just seems straight up wrong, as voices is pretty much the primary way I identify people.

Personally I just remember everyone with more or less the same perfectly nondescript face in my memories and dreams, self included. It's all a bit creepy.

DLC

>case 5
>3 pages of clues
>there isn't even a murder charge yet
OH BOY THIS IS GONNA BE A DOOZY ISNT IT

Ooh I had a question for someone like you. About 999, if you haven'tr played it, ignore the spoiler: Was 999's portrayal of prospognasia accurate? As in it turns you into a cackling cartoonish lunatic laughing as he throws a girl into a raging furnace watching her burn to death because somehow this was gonna help you see the faces again even though that makes no fucking sense?

Faces aren't blurry then? You can see like "normal" people but you just forget as soon as you stop seeing it?

Where would you rank it among the other cases?

...

No idea, will give it a shot and get back to you on this

The faces are completely normal, it's just that the mind is supposed to have special "rules" for remembering faces that for whatever reason don't work for me.

Large variations are still impossible to miss, for example I'm never gonna confuse two people of differing gender / race for each other.

In general you get by with other cues. When I was young I used clothing a lot, which was a bad idea because if someone bought a new shirt I was suddenly flying blind again.

These days my big cheat to remembering people is something most people would never intentionally try to mask, specifically their gait. How people hold themselves is fairly unique.

But yes if I try to hold onto a face it just "leaks away" shortly after we stop talking. I have to be very careful about photographs of people I don't think I'll ever seen again, because if I don't have something like that the face is just gone forever.

The most distressing bit is not knowing your own face, it makes mirrors really uncomfortable.

>Pearl is legal
>Maya and Ema are nearly 30
Stop this Crapcom. Stop this now. My daughteru can't be legal. This is forbidden!

>Pearl is now legal

I'm sorry, user.

Maya and Ema are cakes.

>Pearl in a little black dress

yes. very yes.

>Ema are nearly 30
>cake Ema soon

NO I WONT ALLOW IT

>oh shit its a civil case, that's fucking different
>AND I get to go up against Phoenix, this is great
>nope, he was actually murdered

Only sort of case worth our time is murder

It's always murder. Even when they say it's not murder, it's still murder.

>What is 3-2

I'm just genuinely curious. If you see a cartoony face, do you forget it too?

>play investigations after AJ
>play investigations but not PLvsPW

ignore dumb list

>Maya says its not the time for a ladders and stepladders joke

But this is the one thing I look forward to the most whenever Maya is involved...

Get real, user.

Is that the LeMask thing?
The first part was theft. The second was murder. So it still fits.

Oh, right. I forgot about that.

I want to have sex with Rayfa for the purposes of gratification

Don't worry, there's like 3 other semantics arguments.

so how do you feel about mirrors, what if someone shows a picture of you? how does it feel

The further something varies from what a face SHOULD look like the easier it is to remember, so it's only really an issue if they're going for a very realistic style or rotoscoping actors. This is also not usually a problem because animated characters are usually designed to be very visually distinct from each other anyway.

The prettier a face is the worse the effect is, because the deviation from "the norm" is all I can work with. A face with good symmetry and no scaring or deformity is essentially hopeless for me.

I can't recognize famous people to save my life for just that reason.

I'm pretty sure Divination Séances bring back the memory of a soul, so it'd make sense for someone with face blindness to not remember what his killer's face looks like even after death. Or something.

Every time I see myself in a mirror on some level I'm surprised by it, my appearance is not shocking so I cannot recall it at all. I see myself far less often than most people in my life so it's really when I'm most conscious about the problem.

I get really uncomfortable with it and just try to get past it as quickly as possible, once I look away I forget very quickly. I have to be careful to make sure I "leave" the mirror looking presentable because if I did a shitty job of shaving I won't be able to realize this for the rest of the day.

Pictures are not a problem if they are full body shots, I know enough about my own mannerisms to make the "that's me" connection there. If it's a headshot it may as well be a stranger to me, and I really detest looking at these kinds of pictures. No one likes to feel disabled after all.

holy fuck mr extraterritorial rights is making me tear my hair out

He really. Really. REALLY never stops doing that. The finale is like 4 hours of that.

There is literally a save point halfway through that final battle it runs so long.

I love it though but man it runs long. And good grief having to suss out every fucking angstrom of that ridiculous Incredible Machine level murder plot is kinda tiring.

Which """"""'criminals""""" did literally nothing wrong?

The whale planned it all along.

Shisho was a fucking cryptic faggot.

>how did this big tiddie girl fall for this loseOH NO HE'S HOT

I feel like turning off the Consultation made me miss out on a lot of funny lines. Was Ace Attorney Theater the only time they played with it like this?

>nigger
>did nothing wrong
Ace Attorney is completely unrealistic.

Let's see, there's Godot. Then there's Oldbag. There's Phoenix.

That's one of the worst if not the worst last cases in the series.

Seriously though, did he even do anything illegal?

Why turn off consultation? It's optional when it shows up.

Either way, they always have a line for each situation of characters, but it's a generic one for the two characters on that case. "Huh, Nick, your usual tactic of random bluffing isn't working." "I know, this one's tough. I could use some help." "Well, I was looking at this statement, and I think something's weird." "Cool, thanks Maya." And then it just highlights the statement you need to present on. Which is the least useful thing they can usually give.

In AA5 during the final trial when Nick didn't have anyone in his corner, the Judge would chat with him for a bit and give him some judgely advice in a similar manner. So if you want to see the dialogue you really would have to look at every possibility.

Godot is the only person out of the three you listed who actually ended up facing consequences for what they did.
Phoenix was accused of forgery he didn't commit, got disbarred, decided to fucking forge shit himself, and got cleared of the ORIGINAL charge and got his badge back, with Apollo never fucking bringing that up again. Oldbag barely did anything illegal, she was just a bitch.

I don't think fantasizing about killing a whale is illegal. But framing the whale is.

I turned it off because I knew I would never use it.

Yes, I am prideful, but it's also mostly because I savescummed if I had no fucking clue what to present.

If you die, you can just continue from the exact same question/testimony. There is literally zero penalty.

It's 12:30AM and I'm imagining AA6 as a Wizard of Oz parody, except Phoenix's companions aren't the ones who need brains, hearts or courage.
Guess who the Wizard is. Go on. Guess.

Is CAPCOM gonna port all their stuff for smartphone and tablets now?

I was really surprised to see the first three party of Ace Attorney popping up in the app store.

did the twist catch you off-guard?

You don't die in Ace Attorney.

A lot of fans seem to hate 2-2, but I actually quite enjoyed it. and 2-4 was god tier. JFA wasn't the best but it also isn't the worst in my book.

I hope so. The DD port was surprisingly good and now my mom likes the series.

Anyone who hates 2-2 is gay.

I didn't like 2-4 THAT much but it was a fun ride.

No. The iOS ports were absolute garbage. The trilogy and Dual Destinies ports both sucked fat dicks.

If it wasn't for 2-3 it would probably be my personal favorite. Having one shitty trial when it only has 4 is unfortunate.

Why does everyone hate 2-3 anyway? Moe?

Getting penalized for trying to experience all the dialogue in a game where penalties still mattered was rough.

I hate 2-3 so much because Moe made me want to kill myself and my client was basically an asshole. The only good part of the trial was Ben and his puppet, but it wasn't enough to save it. Not even finding out the truth of how the murder took place had an umph to it like it usually does.

>The bust is
>in this very courtroom
>in the judge's stand!

WORTH IT

How is that great? The buildup to that Phoenix thing was so incredibly corny that it felt like a cheap forced anime/comic crossover.

>The judge is behind the murder for once but he holds you in contempt of court before you can accuse him of murder

Maybe because it actually was forced in-universe. That's why Nick was going all Captain America: Civil War on Apollo.
