As a Ret I can safely say those people are garbage, I can top meters in some circumstances, and if specced right can shit out a lot of AoE. It's not Monk/DH level but it's pretty good.

I've tanked a few times or been in group with a 2nd ret and fuck me they've been garbage, either wrong talents, wrong stats or combinations thereof.

Khadgar was never meant to actively interfere in the current Warcraft world. He would have been far too old to do anything more than act as counselor and teacher. Ideally, he should have started a new mage college with Jaina in Outland after the end of TBC where the two will eventually end up how to reconfigure all of Outland into a mobile space fortress capable of surfing the Twisting Nether.

Ah. Well they're kinda shit at AOE but do some great ST damage. Unfortunately a lot of mythic groups follow word of mouth that Spriest is just shit altogether and may pass you over for an AOE class since trash packs can be brutal in mythics, but most will probably take you and making your own group is easy.

Shamans always Blizz's bitch boy. Just stay mage. Mage always going to cry, but a good one will always be top 5 deeps

Blackout Combo is better when you feel comfortable about how to delay stagger and have enough haste gear to be at like 30% haste.

High Tolerance puts a lot more on your stagger so you can suffer from a much stronger dot but you are less likely to die from being "hit" and it gives you a fair amount of haste.

Blackout Combo is generally better unless you have shit gear.

I'm guessing you don't play tanks. Can pull 150-175k single target on 5+ min fights, 250k+ if it's a fight with periodic adds on my 850 pally. Can get about 65% of that on my 847 war. Blood Dk is the same deal, I just have even less mitigation. The difference in damage taken is just as obvious as the damage dealt between the tanks. Zero incentive to play my war over my paladin if the mit is made to be on par and the damage is subpar.

In WoD I went from a top 3 dps in our raid to near dead last because I just never got any weapon drops that I won. To add insult to injury the one time I couldn't turn up, the weapon dropped for the third time (we had 3 hunters)

Also, don't forget how bear druids have their fists out all the time, even when mogged while shamans and monks get shit.

I was stuck with crafted shit on the two characters I raided with for most of WoD from Highmaul to HFC. When something did finally drop it was usually towards the end of that raid's lifespan and was about to become obsolete anyway.

Any raider should understand that you are at the mercy of gear drops and your DPS reflects that.

I went through most of ICC as a fury warrior using weapons from a heroic because they just refused to drop for me. It wasn't until the last few months of Wrath that Cryptmaker dropped for me, leaving me with one raid weapon and one heroic weapon.

Ele has been a complete joke since they removed LB on the move.
Before it was still a joke, but a kinda fun joke.

You can understand it and still want something better, I do think it's better.

They'll make the grind way easier over time anyway.

Use this priority:

Single Target
1. Collossus smash if available
2. Mortal strike regardless of FR stacks
3. Warbreaker
4. Focused rage if less than 3 stacks
5. Slam

Battle cry and avatar should be used every time they're up. Especially in the instance of battle cry where it will generally be around a 20 second cd

There will be times where you can't fill globals with slam because of spending rage off the gcd with focused rage. This is fine as long as you are slamming and FR spamming during battle cry when they are free.

If more than 1 target replace slam with whirlwind

For 4+ targets

1. Warbreaker
2. Bladestorm
3. Cleave
4. Whirlwind

If you got 0 tactician procs your rotation would look something like this

Charge > fr (battle cry+avatar) > cs > fr > ms > fr > wb > fr > slam > fr > slam > ms etc.

The only other thing to be mindful of is shattered defenses procs. Pretty often you will find that you will get multiple tactician procs in a row, and when that happens it's at times more beneficial to use MS when at 2 or 3 stacks to combine with the SD proc than to keep csing.

Pardon my retardation, but what could have been the reason for this? People kept dying left and right, over and over to the bug explosions and I was one of the four or so who managed to stay alive due to a basic level of awareness. My DPS was 3rd, though I was very close to the other two and there was a significant power gap after me, so it's not like I was an obvious shitter or something. The raid leader asked if everyone had their "achievement" without mentioning which one, but I assumed it was Ready for Raiding V, which I have. I even used a flask and a rune before we started on the trash. I really have no idea what caused me to get kicked.

That is one of the dumbest things I have ever read on this board. Heroic gear can titanforge to heroic raid level drops. I've personally seen 870 drops in heroics.

Anyone want to give me some advice on finding a decent guild? Thinking about applying for a backup team slot for some decent guild, and was wondering how I would even find a guild like that. I work so I can't devote a ton of time, so a main team slot would be hard to do.

Fel Rush is literally your best ability, Unless you position like a retard. Also, never use Eye Beam singletarget, it's the most recent cause of cancer globally.

You can try to pug some low mythic+, or just find a guild, forums are great

Fel rush is fine on more than one target if you have the talent. If you're on a huge single target (like a boss) you can rush diagonally to either side and still keep in melee range. The key here is keeping momentum up though because it buffs everything else.

Actually enjoying a lot of specs. Enjoying my balance druid. Enjoying ret now that I have Ashes to Ashes and almost 30% haste, which I never thought I would say. Enjoying enhancement shaman, and that has been fun since I got the artifact, and only got more enjoyable. And also enjoying Spriest. Its a little annoying to quest with though, because your damage out of void form is shit, and you can't aoe for shit either until you snag the aoe dot legendary, which won't happy anytime soon.

Fury warrior is fun. All 3 specs are, actually. They're vastly different to each other that it feels like different classes.

I wanna do a druid & shaman. They seem to be the most warlock-ish that isn't warlock. I fucking hate warlock now. Played it since 2006 and it's just... not right. I feel useless because it takes so much effort and luck to get it right, and then you still get shit on by lower effort classes.

I know master is Havoc's worst stat.

But I just wanna go fast.

Yeah but I'm looking for a guild that can reliably clear heroic in a couple months at most. I really don't want to endure playing with a guild that struggles for months on normal, just to spend 4-5 months on heroic. I've been mythic and mythic equivalent raiding since vanilla. I just don't have the time to do that anymore so I'm looking for a middleground between LFR and hardcore progression, and feel heroic is a good place for that.

DH can obliterate trash due to their aoe burst being crazy, which makes people think they are actually good all around.

Unfortunately, settings with ramp up or long term damage don't do too well in dungeons, so they don't get brought along as often.

Casters are useless in anything but raids since they take too long to ramp up. Mobs have fuck all HP so anything with instant abilities and heavy cleave is king right now.

Meh, Blizzard puts out beta builds when the game is barely a skeleton. They do shit so backwards and are always in a constant rush to get things finished and out the door. Most game betas are nearly finished games that need bug testing and feedback. Not Blizzard. When Blizzard puts out a beta, it's usually for streamers to market their shit and the game's a barely walking skeleton.

Remember the MoP beta? For the longest time, they only had one zone open and had to slowly unlock zones as they developed them. I've never heard of a company doing this but they can get away with it because people are too addicted to let go.

Player feedback is often not nearly as useful as you think, especially considering blizzard understand their gear scaling in a way you don't because they can see the formulae used.

If you want to make a lot of gold, gathering professions are the best way. JC, enchanting and alchemy are good too.

You don't have to care about levels right now. You can gather just fine at 1 skill if you want.

You CAN make money doing WQs and you CAN make money from order halls but it all pales in comparison to selling mats and consumables. For a single WQ that vgives you 20 of the stormheim herb, you can make like 2500 gold selling them.

A "super hard" quest for a mythic dungeon might give 700 and require you to clear the entire mythic dungeon.

There is no comparison.

At first I honestly thought the treasure chests were boring. Then after an hour of leveling I come back to sell all those "useless" greys the chests gave me and make a cool 2000g. Now I'm eager to buy those treasure maps and go hunting while grinding out my fishing artifact.

Thinking of dropping the dosh on legion but my main problem is finding a class to main.

I mained a hunter when from TBC to Wrath, then switched to rogue for Cata, then stopped playing from MoP to now.

I leveled a hunter up to 100 in the legion pre patch but BM hunter feels weird with too many pets and weirder with your only spells being angry you and angry pet plus shoot snakes. MM seemed like it has more potential but aimed shot makes it feel more like a caster. Survival seems gimped because you seem to be a half assed melee.

Druid seems handy for queues since they can heal, damage and tank.

Rogues are doing pretty well right now.

MM huntards are probably the only good ones, Survival is exactly as you suspect and the raid charts show this. They are somewhere between Warlock and Frost DK, an awful place to be.

Druids are doing well as tanks and feral. Not sure about healers and boomkin is on the lower end last I checked but still decent. Plus if you go feral or boom you get the added excitement of hunting down your hidden artifact skins if you want.

Monk right now is probably the most mechanically intensive tank to play, you have to swap between brews and manage your stagger smartly or youre gonna have a bad time.

It's not hard, but in comarison to the other tanks it's more work, and you get punished if you have a bad healer. There's this point around 50-65% hp where you take like 0 damage and cant die if youre smart, but bad or unaware healers that don't know how monks work will spam themselves oom trying to keep you topped off, and blame you for it.

I'd say if you can go into it knowing youre gonna have to do a little more work than you would on a warrior or a DK, go for it, but it's actually pretty strong if the person playing it isn't bad.

and obviously windwalker is always fun to play, they aren't doing too bad on meters right now either.

As Arcane Mage I can usually wreck even DH on AoE pulls by just putting Nether Tempest up on 1 target, dropping Rune of Power, throwing up Mark of Aluneth on the target that'll live the longest, and spamming Arcane Explosion.

I can do this while also having great boss damage and bringing Time Warp to the group.

Fuck all the retard Mages that're ruining the class reputation right now. I grouped with a Mage that was 15 ilvls higher than me that pulled literally 100k DPS less than me on AoE and boss fights. He was completely flabberghasted that I was playing Arcane instead of Fire and kept telling me how good it was.

Souls randomly spawn now, and you use the ability to reap them, it functions pretty much identically to Vengeance demon hunters; but because they are actual mobs, they don't trigger any of the on kill effects.
