Would you play a Stranger Things videogame?
Would you play a Stranger Things videogame?
Stranger Things was fucking great
>inb4 Stranger Things was fucking Reddit
That's not an argument, fuck off
fuck your trips
Stranger Things was normie as fuck.
No, the series was trash and I don't wanna hear about it never again
That's not an argument, contribute something or fuck off.
Also I think a game inspired by Stranger Things would be cool, but the first season wrapped up a lot. Maybe about 11 still in the Upside-Down?
>fucking
I mean it was good, not great or anything.
>the only likeable characters are 13 and Mike
>not the black kid, whatever his name was
>not qt3.14 nancy yeah I know she was a bitch a few times
>normie as fuck
Is that an insult?
>nancy
Nah but Steve was alright.
I'd play it, but I wouldn't want to just replay the story of the show. They'd have to do something interesting with it.
Steve was pretty shit desu
I know he comes around in the end but he's still shit for like 75% of the show
what are your favourite shows and movies?
A heavy-rain type interactive movie kinda thing would be interesting assuming it's a side story.
The show doesn't really lend itself to a game (at least not yet)
Big fan of this show. Not sure how the material would work with a video game, but yea I'd try it.
No. Kids ride bikes the game.
>new series
>instantly making it into a game
>lol so good xD
This is like a game with souls combat bullshit.
>member the 80s?: The Show
>good
if anything, Stranger Things only brings normies to the abnormie side
The show was good, but the ending was shit.
nancy was a cunt
but I really like how steve did a 180 when the show was almost over and became a likable guy even though there's no way he would ever be a "popular guy" at school because he looks like a lanky dork
this instead 2bh
...
The most you'll be getting is a Telltale game and you'll never ask for anything ever again.
What a terrible mockup
Would it be as vastly overrated as the kinda okay show?
>it's a "guys i don't actually want to talk about video games but still want to post about it on Cred Forums" thread
Just report and hide like you usually do, board monitor-sama.
that can't be an accurate way of firing
yeah it's called earthbound
>putting your psyker on the front lines
Fucking stupid, you are supposed to put the the fat kid up front because he is the tank.
>make a great tv show and have it all wrapped up in 8 episodes
>continuing the same story line to wrap up shit that doesnt need to be wrapped up instead of making each season based on "Strange Things" ala X-Files or Twilight Zone
ruined opportunity
/thread
Not him, but my current favorite show is Into the Badlands. Others I've enjoyed lately are The Expanse and Dark Matter. Stranger things wasn't terrible, it just felt like the movie "Super 8" in show form.
I wouldn't say it was great by any means. I will say it was good for a netflix original.
But is looks cool, say!
First episode, scary flickering lighting, xenomorph-style roof grab, lights exploding, jump scares EVERYWHERE, bright light abduction
Yeah, nah. I didn't even make it through the episode, that's pleb-tier horror.
Is the thing supposed to be an energy field, alien critter or fear aura? If they can't make up their mind then they don't really have a story. It's like BSG and their 'plan'. They just have some marketing and a vague idea of what to put on screen to appeal to plebs.
>a great tv show
are you serious? The entire thing is just reference and homage. Nothing original. I feel bad for you if you don't realize this. You have missed out on some very good films. Stranger things is a very mediocre show that gives you memba berries for better things.
I'm actually taken aback that you think this is good.
Only if I can KISSU Eleven. As she's cute CUTE!
I noticed
I enjoyed it
continue to be mad kid cause its good
WHO #TEAMDUSTIN HERE?
But user, it already exists
But I didn't live in the 80s. I'm not even American. I didn't watch 90% of the movies that Stranger Things references, and I absolutely loved it you fucking faggot.
not him but it was pretty good. Pretty weak ending, but you have to be a pretty cynical fuck or just 100% not paying attention to think it was total garbage or something.
agreed. it was good.
I like how they managed to get good child actors and their interactions didn't feel cringy as hell. It also helps that Eleven was CUTE
>that singing and dancing at the Emmys this year
>that lovely British accent
MY HEART
How can it be member berries if I never experienced the '80s?
eeeh the d&d segments were a little cringy but the rest was good I agree. I thought main kid was a little too bland for my taste.
mouthbreather
>arkham horror, now with actual gameplay
i'm all right with this tbqh
I'd be down, even though actual combat in a cthulhu game seems stupid
He clearly said it was mediocre. I think it's just an okay series too, mostly because it lacks originality. There's nothing there that blew me away.
wtf is tht kiddy fisher price shit?! fuck off
That monster is baller as fuck
I know, I wasn't quoting him on that
Main kid looked more like a girl than Eleven. He was... pretty.
What I mean is, I want to put him in a cute dress.
No the series was way overrated and a game would be telltale shit
dumb froggoposters
didn't have a good face shape to be honest.
Maybe he'll grow into his looks while there's still time
...
I dunno, I know some 90s kids who have those due to believing that the 80s were the best thing ever for music and movies
>squinty gets cucked
>ugly steve gets uncucked
didn't see it coming honestly
NO! FUCK! NO! FUCK YOU STEVE, YOU UNLIKABLE CUNT. FUCK. YOOOOOU.
>LITERALLY EARTHBOUND
Literally has absolutely nothing to do with Earthbound except that it's a group of kids fighting a monster.
Earthbound ripped off IT anyway.
but that isn't nostalgia then.
that's like saying being fond of renaissance times is nostalgia
>no survival horror game where the "monster" is an Illuminati/CIA agent subtly manipulating the town around you trying to kill you
>as you uncover more information that they're trying to cover up their approach to murdering you becomes more aggressive/more agents show up
>takes place in a large rural town, you're never safe but you're safer during the day than during the night
>during the day you have witnesses to help protect you but agents track you quicker, during night agents have a harder time finding you but will try to kill you on sight
>very VERY subtle hints at something more, otherworldly shit and aliens
>even more subtle hints that those could be false flag information to cover up something worse
>player can never tell who the agent is, someone walking around town at night could just be a stroller, someone following you in a crowd could just be going your same way
>never knows if the agent(s) have started tracking them yet
Nancy's storyline was basically just explaining that no matter how nice you are to a woman- even to the degree of fighting off interdimensional horrors for them- the woman will always pick the cunt over you.
the squinty guy wasn't exactly a perfect dude, he was a greasy weirdo that took pictures of her without her knowing.
I seem to also remember the asshole trying to redeem himself and actually saving the both of them
>he isn't a greasy weirdo
OUT
I may be a weirdo but I shower and don't squint every second of my life.
He looked like an autistic Brock from pokemon
As someone who was born in the 90s yet got to watch all of my older siblings' 80s movies and listen to their 80s music, I would argue that being nostalgic for that type of stuff is fair game. You act like people are stuck in a bubble their whole lives.
He was looking for his brother!
Okay yeah that bit was a tad creepy but Steve did things MUCH worse. Like, to the point that no sane person would ever forgive them. He dragged Nancy's reputation through the mud and when he 'saved' both of them, he didn't at all. He came in and hit the horror with a baseball bat. Once. And they weren't even in any particular danger.
Stranger Things is alright. I didn't think the story was very good but the characters and acting were really good. Monster was incredibly lame. Has potential, maybe season 2 will be better.
>eeeh the d&d segments were a little cringy
That was an ET reference.
I'm sure Jonathan was a little more concerned about getting his brother back and away from the interdimensional horror then getting some pussy.
>No the series was way overrated and a game would be telltale shit
>Shit show becomes shit game.
Everything is in order.
that's not what I'm getting at. There's a divide between being nostalgic for the things you grew up with and being nostalgic for a time that you lived in.
If you grew up only entertained by Baroque era media you wouldn't be nostalgic for that time period, you'd be nostalgic for the paintings and music and shit you grew up with.
I want this to play like Darkest Dungeon
I'm not so sure, it was shown that it was his "friend" that did that nancy wheeler is a whore thing and steve was so not cool with it that he stopped being friends with them and helped clean it up.
And nigga i'm pretty sure they were both about to get their asses eaten off before he clocked that thing with the bat full o nails
>If you grew up only entertained by Baroque era media you wouldn't be nostalgic for that time period
Thousands of weeaboos are nostalgic for a thing that doesn't even exist, let alone existed elsewhere/elsewhen.
If you're into a niche interest that isn't immediately accessible and it's your happy place and you think it would make everything better then that's basically nostalgia.
The monster was the shittiest part of the show. Wouldn't want a vidya.
>Based Sheriff gets taken away by some GMen
>oh shit he wasn't part of the deal
>cut to him back to normal work one minute later
WHAT DID IT MEANNN
So when do they have an orgy with 13 in order to get out sewers and become friends forever?
those barrel winged things were friendly anyway
right before Roland lets him fall
it's mostly semantics, man. nostalgia is basically an attraction to happy times of the past, typically a period or time where the happy memories are.
you can be nostalgic for the time in your youth when you always listened to jimi hendrix and janis joplin but it's impossible to be nostalgic for the 60s because you weren't fucking there.
Have you played Earthbound?
This is the only guy anyone in this thread should be listening to.
I've only read about them in At The Mountains of Madness, and if I remember correctly they were the opposite of friendly. What am I missing?
So is this a mod or just some bullshit?
He's not shit. He's just normal.
Steve did almost nothing wrong.
>when you see all these people shitting on Nancy when you used to know her in real life
it hurts
Fuck you for making me think that image was real
The creature was literally about to kill Nancy. He also hit it several times and managed to avoid a number of swipes it made at him.
The only thing that bothered me about the ending was that they all kept living in the same house.
Same one where:
>Giant hole in the wall
>Entire hallway is burnt to cinders
>Monsters previously coming out of the wall
>Possibly still government bugged
low income family or not, the PTSD the kid prolly has from living in the dark version of the house would be enough to move your asses out of there.
was she nice
I don't get why people are shitting on her. When did her character do anything to merit being called a bitch?
