Honsetly? Nothing much, the series got its following because the characters are likeable and people wanted more of them, if you just want a JRPG, there's more than likely better altenatives. The one thing that I can definetly praise that's NOT "waifus" is the plot based on video game industry history and characters, for example V2 story is related to Dreamcasts rise and downfall, while V(RB3) references video game industry crash and rebirth

As someone already mentioned, if not for the girls that game would have killed the franchise right there, the gameplay was absolute shit, the writing was pretty good but its unversally agreed that out of mainline games it is THE WORST.
