How do you fix your Vidya slumps, Cred Forums?

Here's how mine started:

>Get home from work
>Tired
>Shower, go right to bed
>Wake up at midnight
>Realize I'm well rested and have eight hours before I have to go back to work.
>Sweet. Vidya time.

>RuneScape?
>Eh... not tonight. To boring.

>Toxikk
>Yeah!
>Play three games and get bored of it.

>Rocket League?
>Yeah!
>Play two games of rumble, get bored.

>Try to play Skyrim again?
>Pop it open
>Get out of Helgen
>Close game out of boredom.

>ESO?
>Login, no guildies online to run a dungeon with
>Logout after starting crafting research that will take 24 days to complete.

>Try MineCraft
>Get into a new world
>Look around for a few minutes.
>Take down one tree
>Close game

>Overwatch?
>Play one game
>Get bored

>Start installing GTAOnline out of desperation

Take a break, watch a video or something.

You're brain is going haywire realizing time is ticking down to when you have to go to work next. That's why you don't want to play anything.

Slumps suck, but everyone gets them.

i don't

Literally just play through the boredom. If you can get over the initial slump eventually you'll start having fun

Blaze it faggot

play some video games instead of this shit

Drugs

Most people like weed, it kind of brings back that child like awe in vidya

With dexedrine i can play total war for 15 hours without blinking an eye

What games do ou normally like to play?

Play the oposit.

If you're into fast games that keep your blood pumping, go play something slow as shit like RuneScape until you're bored out of your fucking mind.

You'll WANT to play something that you enjoy at that point.

read a book

OP here. I think I got over it.

You were right. Just had a blast with Toxikk.

>You're brain is going haywire realizing time is ticking down to when you have to go to work next. That's why you don't want to play anything.

How can one stop that though?
Not OP, work used to take up 13 hours of my day, now it takes up 5-6, sometimes even less. Still the same behavior remains.

>tfw you smoke but instead of vidya you just end up jacking off each time

>How can one stop that though?

You honestly can't for the first few weeks of a new job. Your brain just takes time to adapt.

You could try to force it, but you might actually end up hating whatever game you play doing that, though.

>first weeks
Oh user I did the old thing for 3 and the new one for 2 years now.

Oh user... I'm so sorry.

...

Its time, user. To give up video games.

But I can't jack off all day every day...

You're not trying hard enough

But I am.
I had to have like 4 weks of nofap this summer because I jacked off too much.
And still only did 2 weeks.

Sounds like you need a new hobby

How about woodcraft

I agree, but everything needs too much time, money, space or travel, or lacks practical applications, or requires me to use a computer (or all of these) which just ends kind of the same way.

Go back and play something you actually enjoyed instead of looking for something new.

I drink.

All the games you play are shit, try playing good games and you won't get as bored

Like what?

Are video games your job or something? Just play them when you want to.

Replay my favorites. Persona 4, GBA Fire Emblems, Mount and Blade Warband, stuff I can really sink time into and get lost in

Make a schedule and also stop going right away to bed after work.

For example.

I work in construction 10 hours a day. I come home at 4 pm.

4pm = Cook something with groceries I brought home and eat
5~8 pm = play ESO
8~10 pm = play whatever game is trending right now or looks interresting on steam
10~12 pm = fap and go to bed
12~1 am = watch youtube videos in bed and fall asleep to them
5 am = get up for work

Just make a schedule like this and keep playing whatever game for the allocated amount of time even if it bores you. Take breaks by shitposting on Cred Forums.
