Today "art" is a buzzword for:
1. Too deep for you shit like a bunch of garbage lying around, sending a "message". Art doesn't need to be over the top complex in understanding.
2. Must propagade liberal values or it's considered regressive and regressive stuff can't be art!
3. Having a solid plot is a no-no, imagine Dark Souls game that makes even LESS sense in those item descriptions and dialogue + cutscenes that remind you of LSD trips.
Different games good at different things, but usually there's 3 main points, plot, action, visuals. And no, I don't mean 4k 60 FPS kind of visuals, I mean Morrowind and shrooms kind of visuals. Video games don't have some weird obligation to abide by normie standarts to be art, mature, whatever. Video games are for fun, how is this hard to understand?
