3D full-scale vocaloids look like garbage, trying to pull off the anime aesthetic in 3D without doing proper rendering and shading tricks that account for anime's constant violation of anatomy will never work and will always look extremely uncanny valley. I cringe every time I see a static anime head on an obviously mo-capped body.

Mirai/Nendoroid vocaloids bypass this by the sheer fact that they are chibi, which means the viewer won't try to compare it to a real human.
